I go out and race until I feel tired or until I run out of fuel. I can't stand next to a motorcycle because I can't resist the temptation to start the engine and speed away. Some may disagree with me, but this is my point of view and will remain so.

- You carry out the maintenance of your motorcycle yourself.
- You improve your bike control skills and take this issue seriously.

You can’t ride this type of motorcycle very hard, but it will withstand long-distance riding very well. But sport bikes are fundamentally different. They are not intended for long trips, but they show their character well on race tracks. Racing is their thing. A sport bike is capable of developing simply colossal speeds. They will be discussed later in this article.
So, it should immediately be noted that a modern sports bike is a combination of high technologies that were thawed out for years in MotoGP racing, after which they were sent to production models.
Features of sports bikes
Absolutely each model of this transport has its own specific characteristics and purpose. The same applies to sports motorcycles. Such motorcycles are distinguished not only by their very powerful engine and comfortable handling at high speeds, but also by the fact that their design does not allow the presence of any unnecessary parts that could make the vehicle heavier or interfere with comfort. After all, the weight of a racing motorcycle has a huge impact on its top speed.
Therefore, all unnecessary parts are removed to the maximum, and the rest of the motorcycle structure, including the frame, pendulum, fork, traverses, wheels, is made of very durable, but at the same time, fairly lightweight materials. Thanks to this, sports bikes with an engine volume of 1000 cm 3 are capable of holding weight up to 180 kg.
In addition, special attention is paid to its streamlining in order to reduce wind resistance while riding, which also affects the speed of the sport bike.
Due to the fact that racers travel at extremely high speeds during races, there is a need for additional driver protection from headwinds. For this purpose, the motorcycle is equipped with a small windshield. However, this is not always the case. Also, sports bikes do not have headlights and turn signals, since there is no need for them on the track, and they will only make the motorcycle heavier.
It is worth noting that the main task of manufacturers of such motorcycles is to make it as powerful as possible, but at the same time more comfortable to ride, because at high speeds the motorcycle must listen to its driver perfectly. Therefore, a lot of attention is paid to the motorcycle engine itself.
Thus, sports motorcycles are characterized by a 2-cylinder engine, the volume of which starts from 50 cm 3 (such motorcycles include models Suzuki TLR, Honda VTR), as well as a 4-cylinder engine with a volume of 250 cm 3 (Japanese sports bikes, Italian company MV Agusta, as well as BMW). However, there are other engine designs, for example, V-shaped 4-cylinder (Honda, Yamaha, Ducati), in-line three-cylinder (Triumph and Benelli), single-cylinder, in-line 2-cylinder, opposed 2-cylinder, etc.
The engines that are equipped with sports motorcycles have a liquid-cooled engine and oil coolers that are located across the frame. There are also other motors. For example, in drag racing, motorcycles are equipped with a turbocharger and nitrous oxide injection. Their power exceeds 300 hp.

Classic is a motorcycle with a classic layout.

There are other names: Streetfighter (“street fighter”), Naked (“naked”, meaning the version without a half-fairing), Neoclassic. A classic motorcycle is a time-tested design and layout, upright riding position and low maintenance, reliability and ease of use. Outwardly, it may look a little like a chopper, but not with such an imposing driver’s position and tons of chrome, or like a sportbike, only with quieter engine characteristics and long, high-torque gears.

The riding position on a sports motorcycle and on a classic one are vastly different. Well, besides racing, they also perform dirt-style stunts on pit bikes.
Road
First of all, all devices belong to two large groups. Let's start with something closer to us - with motorcycles for riding on good asphalt roads. The name does not mean that they are not suitable for moving over rough terrain, but these bikes perform best on high-quality specialized trails.
