Engine
HUSQVARNA 701 Engine
The liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, overhead camshaft engine features the latest design and electronic technology. With an outstanding maximum power of 55 kW (74 hp) at 8000 rpm and a torque of 71 Nm at 6750 rpm, there is no reason for the rider to doubt the performance of this motorcycle.
Progressive design “single-barrel” Husqvarna Vitpilen 701
At the 2015 Milan exhibition, the Concept Husqvarna Vitpilen 701, built on the KTM Duke 690 unit base, was announced. And only two years later, in 2021, serial production of the motorcycle began. If you compare the conceptual idea and the serial, there are very few differences. The engineers managed to keep the external proportions and technical content unchanged. Huskvarna Vitpilen 701 is advanced and progressive. It’s not for nothing that the Husqvarna people themselves call it a Progressive street motorcycle (“advanced city motorcycle”). This single-barrel engine from KTM is the most powerful single-cylinder engine installed on production road motorcycles.
The engine capacity is 692.7 m3 and is equipped with a single overhead camshaft, which allows it to develop 75 hp. - the same as the two-cylinder Ducati engine on the Scrambler 800 and Monster 798. It is worth noting that the engine is full of technical and electronic goodies: a reverse slip clutch, two spark plugs per cylinder, providing higher engine efficiency and helping to reduce fuel consumption, traction -control, quickshifter - and this is all standard equipment, not options. If you change consumables according to the regulations, once every 10,000 km: oil, two oil filters, and check valve clearances less often, then the engine will last 100,000 km without going inside.
Don’t save money - avoid suspicious gas stations and don’t fill up with AI-92 gasoline. Don’t be alarmed by the operation of the engine, you can’t call it quiet; after the start, the sound is monstrously loud for the first 20-30 seconds and only decreases when the oil pressure rises to the operating value and enters all channels. The Husqvarna Vitpilen 701 motorcycle has one ignition map, hardwired into the brain; it cannot be changed either by buttons on the dashboard or by a switch under the seat. She may be alone, but she is licked perfectly.
Having tested the strength of Husqvarna Vitpilen 701, we can highlight the main quality characteristics:
- No injection hesitations either in operating or transient modes.
- Fast, confident and predictable response to turning the throttle.
- When sliding, traction control is activated.
- The precise operation of the box with a quickshifter allows you to shift without pressing the clutch in both directions.
- Two adjustments for front and rear suspension.
- The 11 kg frame is designed in such a way that not a single crack in the asphalt or bumps will force you to change your trajectory. The high-speed curves on Huskvarna Vitpilen 701 are written as if from a pattern.
- Steering clip-ons provide direct transmission of steering impulses to the wheel and clear feedback on the steering wheel.
- The brakes are grippy and progressive without being intimidatingly harsh. Brake lines are reinforced, ABS Bosch 9M+.
Minimalism and practicality - this is the appearance of the 2021 Husqvarna Vitpilen 701 motorcycle. Beautiful industrially, man-made and engineering. At the same time, it drives beautifully and is convenient for the city. Husqvarna has managed to create a truly advanced city motorcycle that fits perfectly into the dynamics of the metropolis.

The camshaft is a compact design, the 4-valve cylinder head features 42mm intake valves and 34mm exhaust valves, driven by a robust rocker system that ensures precise valve timing at high engine speeds. Ignition is carried out using two spark plugs, each of which operates autonomously for optimal fuel combustion.
Electronic throttle control system
The keihin electronic fuel delivery system is equipped with a 50mm throttle body without mechanical connection to the throttle grip. When the rider turns the throttle, the throttle is electrically actuated and all controlled by the engine management system (EMS). Ems constantly compares engine parameters with sensor data and adjusts throttle position accordingly, resulting in ideal power delivery and throttle response.
Brakes
HUSQVARNA 701 Brakes
Amazing braking power and control is available to the rider thanks to a radially mounted Brembo 4-piston caliper and 320mm floating disc at the front, and a single-piston caliper and 240mm floating disc at the rear. Motorcycle Husqvarna TE 701 Enduro 2021 review
Description of the Husqvarna TE 701 Enduro 2021 motorcycle is in the queue for publication of the article. Announcement: Today, for almost every new motorcycle that comes into being, marketers strive to carve out their own niche. This one is a road sport, this one is a recreational enduro. But what class should we include a motorcycle that has a little bit of everything? A good bike should have a reliable engine, comfortable ergonomics and simple controls...
Husqvarna TE 701 Enduro is a motorcycle rarely sold in Russia, equipped with a high-power 74 hp engine. Despite the fact that good models of motorcycles have a very respectable price, and the season for their use is relatively short, the motorcycle market is developing rapidly. And if you believe the words of dealers, then some models of recently released motorcycles are selling like hot cakes at the beginning of the season, and the models brought to Russia are clearly not enough to fully satisfy consumer demand.
A motorcycle has long ceased to be an alternative to a car, and the times when this equipment was bought only because there was not enough money for a full-fledged car are forgotten. Nowadays, two-wheelers can be called technological marvels in many cases, and their cost can be compared with that of prestigious cars.
Many people have started buying motorcycles for hobby purposes as riding or even collecting them has become a good pastime for many people. Many motorcycles, for example the Husqvarna TE 701 Enduro, whose technical characteristics allow the model to be called a prestigious brand, are in demand among both beginners and experienced motorcyclists.
Motorcycles with an engine capacity of 692.7 cc / 42.27 cu in. see, appeared as a result of long work of inventors who sought to create a model that was not inferior in characteristics to other versions of the motorcycle. In some cases, these models are not only not inferior, but also ahead of other motorcycles, as they have minimal fuel consumption and other excellent parameters.
Motorcycles with an engine capacity of more than 400 kb. cm, which includes the Husqvarna TE 701 Enduro - this category of motorcycles simply cannot claim the title of “motorcycle for a beginner.” On the contrary, this is already a serious technique that requires certain control of motorcycle equipment with a smaller engine capacity. Yes, she attracts more attention, she is the most beautiful, fast, interesting and there is a huge selection of models. But as power increases, the weight of the motorcycle inevitably increases. In this class you are unlikely to find motorcycles lighter than 180 kg, unless they are the latest motorcycle models.

Slipper clutch
Adler's aptc (adler power torque clutch) allows for increased speed at different lean angles, maximizing rear wheel grip during hard acceleration, and also prevents rear wheel instability during tight cornering. Thus, the pilot has maximum control and problems when downshifting are eliminated.

Good day everyone, Haska 701 is not the most common motorcycle in the Russian Federation. It gained the greatest popularity in the US and European countries. Questions that sometimes arise for me as the owner prompted the idea to write this post.
What we have. Husqvarna 701 enduro 2021 with mileage now at 8 thousand km. Tested both on local trips around and on a couple of small long-distance trips, one of which is to the north, and the other to a travel gathering.
The motorcycle was purchased from an official importer in June. I came to pick it up in Moscow in the morning so that at night I could drive it home to St. Petersburg while running it in. At the same time, go through a break-in and understand what’s what in this motorcycle at least at first glance. I took it as a replacement for the KTM 690 enduro 2008, because... I rode the previous one for a year and a half and realized that this class is something that I am ready to stay at least for some long time, but so that the motorcycle is without the hands of the previous owners and the first “collective farmer” is myself. The difference with the new ktm 690 is in the suspension (275mm on the husk), the engine from duke (“for now” there is a problem with the rockers) and all sorts of little things like slightly different fasteners and plastic, a stronger tail according to the number, the presence of holes for mounting the turret, etc. Since 2021, there is no map switch on Huskies, so we refuel with bad gasoline at our own peril and risk. But no matter what gas stations I came across, there were no problems. The saddle on the Husqvarna is wider than on the same Ktm 690. No difference was noticed, because... here and there it is tough.
I saw this one in the salon.
I brought it home in the morning.
Upon arrival, all that was left was to drive around the outskirts a little to complete the run-in. The manufacturer recommends not turning over 6000rpm up to 1000 km. Since there is no tachometer, the speed is around 90-100 and without sudden acceleration.
There are no dealers in St. Petersburg, that is, it is possible to get service from any other service that can provide paper about the work done, send a photo/scan of the document to the dealer in MSK and the warranty will be extended.
For problems. Everything is the same as the classic 690. * weak clutch springs. You can set it on fire quickly if you often “poison” it in the dirt. * weak gas tank fastening * not very comfortable saddle for long-distance riders (I decided to buy an airhawk dual sport, because saddles like seatconcepts are not suitable for everyone), etc.
The problems are described in more detail here. They do not all relate to this year, but there are the main ones, which are indicated in the same topic.
About the ride A very pleasant and peppy motorcycle. For me, as an ordinary sofa rider, at first it was a little high given my height of 182 cm, but then I got used to it and it began to seem low. Consumption is also 4.5/5 liters depending on style, conditions, etc. I drove it a little around Finland, from St. Petersburg to the Tver region and to the Rybachy Peninsula through graders along the border with Finka, the Khibiny Mountains and the Geologists Pass.
In the first few thousand, the clutch cover gasket leaked slightly, and when falling, the clutch and front brake levers were bent because... In the standard configuration there is no lever protection like the KTM. Also, from a simple fall, the rear brake foot hurried to try to break through the clutch cover, for which it was mercilessly bent with pliers and broke when falling again, already off-road in the outskirts of the city. So lid protection + reinforced brake foot is a must have. Towards the end of the summer, I managed to catch up with the car on the highway and slightly made an “egg” out of the front rim. Re-threading the spokes is quite fixable and does not affect the speed. Only at low speeds does it hit the steering wheel slightly. The original tkc 80 tires have mostly worn off only on the rear wheel and can now be replaced. Before then, several thousand more will travel without any problems, but as a supporter of the C-02 and C-21, I will change them before the season.
Didn't fix it, didn't go.
Climbing to the pass.

In fact, everyone has very different problems at different mileages, which can be tracked in the thread on advrider. But during the short run the motorcycle did not show its bad side.
Now we are expecting a set of different tunings for a trip to Altai and Mongolia, but while everything is moving, you can devote your snowy time to snowboarding in the mountains.
All questions are welcome in the comments or PM. I will try to add questions to the main topic as updates.
