China continues to systematically capture the world market. And it does this in all directions. Relatively recently, fans of motocross and just riding bikes had the opportunity to test enduro motorcycles produced in this country. Opinions were divided, but the majority were extremely positive. The Chinese product is distinguished, first of all, by its affordable price tag. Buying an inexpensive bike is not difficult, and its maintenance will not require huge investments. Yes, the Celestial Empire does not have many years of experience in developing this class of equipment, but engineers not only learn quickly, but also know how to adopt the experience of their European colleagues.

In this rating, we decided to touch exclusively on Chinese enduro motorcycles. Today, this country has even formed its own Top brands, which we will also carefully study. To select positions, the following aspects were taken into account:

  • popularity in Russia and the CIS;
  • reviews and tests by professionals;
  • reviews about quality and maintainability.

Each of the bikes included in the rating deserves attention. In most cases, this is a vehicle for city rides or novice athletes, but there are also full-fledged models that are not embarrassing to compete in. In addition, many modern brands that are proud of their European origins are now produced in China. True, they try to tactfully keep silent about this.

The best Chinese enduro motorcycles up to 250cc

Motorcycles with an engine capacity of less than 250cc are considered equipment for beginner athletes. It is difficult, and sometimes impossible, to perform intricate tricks on them. The acceleration speed also leaves much to be desired. But if you are just starting to get into motorsports and need a motocross bike for training, these are the models you should consider. It's never too late to switch to more powerful technology. In addition, enduro is suitable for city driving in most cases, and in tight roads you don’t need more power.

Top 5. RACER PANTHER RC200GY-C2

Rating (2021): 3.97

Best price Enduro, copying the Japanese bike Honda XR 125. Complete repetition of the technical characteristics of the original, but costing 40% less.

  • Characteristics

    Average price: 70,000 rub.

  • Engine capacity: 200 cc
  • Power: 14.3 hp
  • Seat height: 1020 mm
  • Weight: 118 kg

RC200GY-C2 is an almost complete Chinese copy of the famous enduro Honda XR 125. Engineers from the Middle Kingdom did not bother too much and transferred most of the system, but the technical characteristics still changed. The engine volume has increased. Here it is 200 cubic meters and 14 with a little power. Weighing 118 kilograms, the engine is enough to accelerate the bike to 120 kilometers per hour, although not very fast. It's not worth running this motorcycle into the worst mud. The equipment is clearly not cross-country, but rather intended for country walks and rides. By the way, a PTS is provided here, which already tells us that the manufacturers are focused on the road class. Well, the main advantage is the lowest price.

Advantages and disadvantages

  • Availability of PTS
  • A light weight
  • Best price
  • Small torque
  • Slow acceleration
  • Relatively weak engine with optimal volume

Review of enduro motorcycles. And let the asphalt wait

Light enduros, and other motorcycles in Russia, are mainly bought used, but, as with road motorcycles, the share of new vehicles is gradually increasing. Let's talk about the new and most interesting models of off-road motorcycles officially sold in our country.

Natalia Umnova
BSE

The Chinese company BSE sells us mainly pit bikes (small motocross motorcycles with a small engine and a horizontal CPG; read a review of pit bikes in one of the upcoming issues of “5 Wheels”). But it also has models that can be classified as enduro.

BSE J2-250E

BSE J5-250E

J1‑250E and J2‑250E are identical externally and internally: equipped with a carburetor 4-stroke air-cooled engine with a power of 17 hp. With. and differ only in wheel size. J5‑250E is a more serious model. It has a water-cooled motor with a capacity of 27 hp. With.

HONDA

This Japanese concern believes that one enduro model is enough for Russia - the CRF250X. No cult XR or at least other cubic capacity for you... Well, at least something.

The CRF250X is a “civilian” version of the cross-country CRF250R: a little softer, calmer, “understanding” - but only a little. With electric starter and lighting devices. The 4-stroke and cubic capacity seem to hint that the CRF250X can be taken as the first enduro motorcycle and ridden on it up to a serious level: the device has enough power and power for any task.

HUSQVARNA

The new TE250i and 300i enduros are equipped with a two-stroke engine with - attention! - fuel injection. The conservative world of off-road motorcycles has capitulated under the pressure of environmentalists. But I only benefited from it. Because now, having retained their 2-stroke character, these enduros are closer to 4-stroke in terms of ease of use and riding: fuel consumption and emissions have become lower, and traction is smoother.

The complete line of enduro motorcycles from the Swedish manufacturer, presented on our market, includes eight 2-stroke and 4-stroke models with engine displacements from 125 to 700 cm3.

KAYO

These “Chinese”, like BSE, have become popular with us due to their pit bikes. But recently full-fledged enduros have appeared in the Kayo line: K1 250, K6 250, T2 250 with two wheel diameters and T4 250 - all with the “surname” Enduro. These 4-stroke carburetor models produce 16 hp. s., with the exception of the K6, differ from each other only in wheel size, wheelbase length (the difference is about 5–10 cm), suspension settings, gas tank volume and, accordingly, weight.

The K6 250 is distinguished by a more powerful (26 hp) water-cooled engine with an injection, longer wheelbase and suspension travel. And also at a price - almost twice as high as other models.

KTM

This year the Austrians have released two interesting new products. KTM 250 EXC TPI with two-stroke engine with fuel injection system. KTM engineers freed the device from the disadvantages of a 2-stroke engine and equipped it with the advantages of a 4-stroke engine: smoother traction over a wide speed range, instant and at the same time smooth reactions to turning the throttle, reduced fuel and oil consumption, automatic correction of the fuel mixture, depending on from environmental conditions, and good environmental performance.

KTM 250/300 EXC TPI.

The new 4-stroke KTM Freeride 250 F is a successor and replacement to the iconic 2-stroke 250 and 4-stroke 350, which at one time “founded” a new class of dual-purpose motorcycles - Freeride, combining versatility and riding pleasure.

The KTM Freeride 250 F, depending on the desires and capabilities of the person riding it, can serve as a classic enduro, a “walking” enduro (trail) or both together, as well as be the first motorcycle for a beginner or a training machine for a professional.

KTM Freeride 250 F.

The new product received a lightweight 4-stroke engine with a capacity of 250 cc and a redesigned and lightweight chassis, which made it possible to achieve an optimal balance of weight (99 kg), power, dynamics and maneuverability.

In total, the line of enduro motorcycles of the Austrian brand, available in Russia, includes 14 models with engines from 250 to 690 cm3.

KAWASAKI

In Russia, this company offers one model of “adult” enduro – KLX450R. The device is equipped with a single-cylinder 4-stroke carburetor engine with a volume of 450 cm3. There is also a children's motorcycle KLX110 with a capacity of 7.3 liters. With. and smaller size.

Kawasaki KLX110.

Kawasaki KLX450R.

SHERCO

The Spanish-French company quickly gained a good reputation among enduro and motocross enthusiasts thanks to its lightweight, reliable and easy-to-ride motorcycles.

Sherco 450 SEF-R.

This year, the 4-stroke models 250/300/450 SEF-R have been seriously updated: ergonomics and comfort, traction at low speeds, access to the radiator, ignition settings have been improved; The shape of the fairings has been changed and the weight has been slightly reduced.

Sherco 125 SE-R.

A new model has appeared in the 2-stroke line - 125 SE-R, equipped with an electric starter. The 250 SE-R and 300 SE-R receive virtually the same updates as their 4-stroke comrades.

YAMAHA

The WR450F now features an engine with a reverse-slant cylinder head, a forward-facing air intake and a curved rear exhaust system. This design improves intake and exhaust efficiency, which in turn optimizes the engine's high linear torque and provides plenty of power reserves.

A new aluminum frame with a double-sided beam, optimized suspension settings, reshaped fairings for easier access to the air filter, a new engine management program and the ability to set many settings yourself using a smartphone application, an electric starter without a switch - these are just the most noticeable changes in the model 2021.

ZERO

If Harley-Davidson is thinking about an electric motorcycle, then it’s impossible to ignore the Zero brand, which has been on the market for a long time, producing light on-road and off-road motorcycles.

Zero FX is equipped with an electric motor that produces 106 Nm of torque from the very start - a serious help on off-road terrain. The absence of exhaust and noiselessness allow you to use this electric motorcycle for competitions and training indoors, as well as in protected natural areas, and just ride around a holiday village without fear of angering your neighbors.

There are two variants of Zero FX. One is equipped with a modular battery design consisting of two independent quick-release batteries: the motorcycle can be powered by either one or both simultaneously. Electric motor power - 27 hp. s., motorcycle weight - 112 kg, power reserve 30–75 km.

The second version has a one-piece frame-integrated battery design, while performance figures are almost doubled compared to the modular version: power 46 hp. s., power reserve 63–146 km. Weight - 135 kg.

Top 4. Motoland WRX250 Lite WFA

Rating (2021): 4.44

Water-cooled bike A unique model with virtually no competitors, which uses water cooling, rare in its class.

  • Characteristics

    Average price: 150,000 rub.

  • Engine capacity: 250 cc
  • Power: 28 hp
  • Seat height: 900 mm
  • Weight: 123 kg

If you plan to conquer the most severe off-road conditions with your enduro or make long trips, then this motorcycle is exactly what you need. Its key feature is the presence of water cooling, which makes the bike truly unique in its class. It is almost impossible to overheat the engine, while the system adds minimal weight. The ZS170MM-2 engine produces 28 horsepower, having an honest 250 cc without footnotes or reservations. The original Fastace Force suspension also deserves attention. Its uniqueness lies in the huge number of settings that allow you to turn a dirt bike into a road bike and back in just a couple of minutes. And this pleasure costs 150 thousand. For such equipment, the price tag is quite affordable.

Advantages and disadvantages

  • Water cooling
  • Aluminum rims
  • Reinforced hubs
  • Digital dashboard
  • Unique pendant
  • Inconvenient location of the brake foot
  • Frequent brake blocking
  • Difficult maintenance

The Patron Sport 250 (offered by Ural Motorcycle Company LLC from Izhevsk) in its sportbike guise demonstrates the increased capabilities of the Chinese motorcycle industry. The single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-oil-cooled engine (233 cm³) is equipped with a balancer shaft, an electric starter and is linked to a five-speed gearbox. There are disc brakes on both 17-inch wheels, but the suspension settings are not the best.

Top 3. ZUUM PX250

Rating (2021): 4.65

High-quality materials and components Chinese motorcycle assembled using Japanese parts. This is a powerful device for maximum loads.

  • Characteristics

    Average price: 125,000 rub.

  • Engine capacity: 249 cc
  • Power: 21 hp
  • Seat height: 940 mm
  • Weight: 109 kg

China has never been shy about adopting other people's experiences. And sometimes he takes entire modules from other manufacturers. For example, this enduro uses a copy of the Honda MD33 engine. Here it is called the 172FMM and uses a Nibbi carburetor, also of Japanese origin. A special advantage will be the soft KKE suspension, designed specifically for motocross bikes. A plus to the strength are the aluminum rims and hubs, which are secured with as many as 6 bolts. The plastic on the fairings deserves special attention. It is very durable and does not break at the slightest touch. An excellent option for a novice athlete, besides, there is an honest 250 cubic meters of just one unit.

Advantages and disadvantages

  • Soft suspension
  • Short stroke gas
  • LED headlights
  • A light weight
  • Reinforced disc brakes
  • Quite large dimensions
  • High price at the start of sales
  • Low maintainability

NAKED SKIDS

This group is quite diverse, since the very concept of “naked” has not completely settled down: some use the term “streetfighter” or “roadster,” while others generally classify the device as one of the general group of road motorcycles. A harmonious, modern-looking city motorcycle, the M1NSK C4 250 attracts attention with a complex-shaped headlight, an inverted telescopic fork and a double-disc brake with petal discs. The quiet air vent has excellent traction, efficiency and unpretentiousness. The tank of sufficient capacity (16 l) is equipped with a fuel gauge, the instrumentation includes a tachometer, and the rear light is made of LEDs.

Top 2. IRBIS TTR 250R

Rating (2021): 4.76

The best combination of price and quality A full-fledged motocross motorcycle for beginners and professionals. An inexpensive solution capable of conquering serious off-road conditions thanks to 15.6 horsepower with 223 cubic meters of volume.

  • Characteristics

    Average price: 90,000 rub.

  • Engine capacity: 223 cc
  • Power: 15.6 hp
  • Seat height: 880 mm
  • Weight: 125 kg

A full-fledged motocross motorcycle can also be budget-friendly. The IRBIS TTR 250R is a prime example of this. With an engine capacity of less than 250cc, it is capable of overcoming potholes and bumps like its more powerful brothers. 15.6 horsepower and 17 Nm of torque allow you to take part in competitions or simply conquer open spaces. The tubular frame is very durable as it is manufactured using a closed system. This also contributed to weight loss and speed gain. Only the maximum overclocking is not impressive. To some, 110 kilometers per hour may seem insufficient, but if we are talking specifically about trips outside of developed roads, then you are unlikely to ever achieve this parameter.

Advantages and disadvantages

  • Robust frame design
  • Low weight
  • High maintainability
  • 12 liter fuel tank
  • Not the highest peak speed
  • Slow acceleration

engine: 1 cylinder, liquid cool-e., DOHC/4; power: 25 hp at 8500 rpm; tires: 110/70–17 / 140/70–17; brakes: 2-disc/disc; price: 112,500 rub. Patron Taker 250. The Kinlon JL250F is also designed with an eye to the streetfighter class - similar fit, clip-ons, and tank cover. There is a tachometer on the dashboard, the brake reservoir is made in the form of a can. The motorcycle brakes are disc brakes, with two discs at the front, an inverted front fork, and rear wheel suspension with two backpack shock absorbers. Looking at the large and heavily chromed engine, you don’t immediately notice its feature - two-cylinder. This design feature (a cloned legacy of the Honda SV series) makes the device more “fun” on the move than conventional single-barreled guns, although the power is moderate - 17 “horses”, and the maximum speed is 105 km/h. The Chinese manufacturing company is part of the Geely Group and has seven years of experience in producing motorcycles.

Top 1. Stels 250 Enduro

Rating (2021): 4.81

The most popular Chinese brand A brand that competes in terms of sales in Russia with top Japanese manufacturers. The ability to combine affordable prices and adequate quality makes this product the most popular.

  • Characteristics

    Average price: 80,000 rub.

  • Engine capacity: 225 cc
  • Power: 15 hp
  • Seat height: 815 mm
  • Weight: 135 kg

The Chinese manufacturer Stels is known for its two-wheeled vehicles. To a greater extent these are bicycles, but today the brand’s motorcycles are becoming increasingly in demand. The secret lies in making maintenance as simple as possible. You don't even need to be a mechanic to understand the engine and attachments. Everything is thought out to the smallest detail, and this is a very important aspect, since the bike is a cross bike and requires regular maintenance. Also the price is good here. For 80 thousand you can get a completely new device, as they say, out of the box. Stealth clearly demonstrates to the world that high-quality equipment can also be budget-friendly. This is an excellent model in its class, although not without its shortcomings.

Advantages and disadvantages

  • Affordable price
  • High maintainability
  • Ease of maintenance
  • Adequate characteristics
  • Manufacturer's warranty available
  • Quite a lot of weight
  • Weak tubular frame

Once upon a time, the word “chekushka” was in use - this was the name for a 250-gram bottle of vodka that cost only 1 ruble. 49 kopecks - for one and inexpensive, and without going overboard. Motorcyclists associated the “check” with the Jawa 250 motorcycle - not as expensive as the top model Jawa 350, for which they fought in queues, but no longer an unfinished Soviet product. In general, the “check” meant a budget alternative. Today, perhaps, it’s time to remember the old word: let’s see what kind of “checks” we have from the Middle Kingdom. In our market, the “250” class is represented mainly by Chinese companies that have relatively recently grown into such engines - previously they were producing 125-150-200 cm³ cubic capacity, producing clones of the Honda CG series lower engine. Several types of engines already serve as prototypes for “checks,” and they are much more diverse.

The best Chinese enduro motorcycles over 250cc

For enduro motorcycles, 250cc is a turning point. Everything below can do without a vehicle passport, essentially being sports equipment. But beyond this norm, it is already a full-fledged motorcycle, which requires appropriate registration. Many manufacturers often deliberately underestimate this parameter, setting it at 249 cubic meters, thereby circumventing the law. If the device is 300 or higher, it will no longer be possible to hide such data. But you will be able to overcome the most severe off-road conditions. Or perform a difficult cross trick.

Top 5. Avantis Enduro 300 Carb

Rating (2021): 3.89

Durable frame Construction made entirely of molybdenum alloy. Very durable and at the same time lightweight compared to other materials.

  • Characteristics

    Average price: 290,000 rub.

  • Engine capacity: 280 cc
  • Gearbox: manual, 5 gears
  • Power: 34 hp
  • Seat height: 930 mm
  • Weight: 105 kg

It is very difficult to strike a balance between light weight and frame strength. Today, the best solution is molybdenum alloy. It is used extremely rarely, as it significantly increases the price tag of the final product. This is exactly what happened with this model, which costs almost 300 thousand rubles. And this is taking into account that its characteristics are average. As testers note, the Zongshen engine is quite reliable, but if it breaks down it will not be easy to fix. In addition, there is a cable clutch, which by modern standards is a relic of the past. The hub mounting also leaves much to be desired. Four bolts using a special fixing technology are a reliable solution, but tightening them in the field will be extremely problematic.

Advantages and disadvantages

  • Reliable engine
  • High rise
  • Durable frame
  • Cable clutch
  • Small fuel tank
  • Difficult maintenance

Top 4. BRZ X6M 300cc

Rating (2021): 4.32

Replica of the famous Japanese enduro. Chinese copy of the popular Japanese model SUZUKI RMZ 250. A worthy competitor, costing almost twice as much.

  • Characteristics

    Average price: 280,000 rub.

  • Engine capacity: 298 cc
  • Gearbox: manual, 6 gears
  • Power: 21 hp
  • Seat height: 910 mm
  • Weight: 130 kg

The SUZUKI RMZ 250 motocross motorcycle has long become a legend. It often takes podiums at various competitions, but only wealthy athletes can afford it. As always, China comes to the rescue by releasing its version of this legendary bike. Unlike the original, the Zongshen engine is installed here, and this is an honest three hundred with 21 horses. The motorcycle also has the necessary attachments that allow it to move on public roads. There is a title, as well as a one-year manufacturer's warranty. An excellent solution for motocross training. Not the cheapest, but very attractive compared to the original.

Advantages and disadvantages

  • 6 gears
  • Manufacturer's warranty
  • Reinforced frame
  • Low maintainability
  • Steel wheels
  • Weak plastic fairings

SPORTBIKES

Undoubtedly, the most interesting motorcycle of this subclass is the M1NSK R 250. This “Minsk” has nothing in common with previous models, descending from the German two-stroke DKW, not even the emblem. Here you really need, as the advertising slogan calls for, “Take a fresh look at M1NSK”! In general, the R 250 can only conditionally be attributed to the Chinese motorcycle industry: the concept belongs to the British company Megelli, the design was created by Italian craftsmen, and only the components are from China. The beauty of the bike, which is not hidden by the fairing, is the birdcage space frame, like on Ducati. The second feature is an openwork pendulum, spied on by another world grandee - Benelli, and it is made of aluminum alloy. The muffler, as has become fashionable, is in the center, protruding from under the passenger side of the seat. There is also no shame in the engine, which is hidden in the depths of the device: it is liquid cooled, produces as many as 26 “horses” and is linked to a six-speed gearbox. The motorcycle sits on 17-inch alloy wheels equipped with petal brake discs. True, there is only one disc at the front, but it has a record diameter of 300 mm for the class.

Top 3. Racer RC300-GY8A Enduro 300

Rating (2021): 4.58

The most reliable bike model with a number of original technical solutions: a balancing shaft and an oil cooling system. Options that make the model as reliable as possible under high loads.

  • Characteristics

    Average price: 118,000 rub.

  • Engine capacity: 270 cc
  • Gearbox: manual, 5 gears
  • Power: 19.7 hp
  • Seat height: 815 mm
  • Weight: 118 kg

The Enduro comes with a vehicle title and has all the necessary lighting systems for driving on public roads. At the same time, it is only slightly larger in volume than 250 cubic meters, which is a rather strange decision by the manufacturer. Among the advantages, users highlight the repairable, reliable 170FMN engine, which produces almost 20 horsepower. It is also equipped with a balancing shaft, which seriously reduces vibrations. An oil-air cooling system is installed here - another strange solution. Large radiators protrude beyond the frame, making the motorcycle poorly suited for sports racing.

Advantages and disadvantages

  • Cooling for serious workloads
  • High quality carburetor
  • Availability of balancing shaft
  • Low landing
  • Weak plastic
  • Radiators protruding from the sides
  • Steel rims on wheels

Similar to Minsk in everything except price, brand and some little details - Sagitta SNS250 Jedi. Our Italian-sounding brand is Russian (fifth year on the market). Another difference is the colors offered: if “Minsky” comes in red and black, then “Sagitta” is red and radically black.

Top 2. ASIAWING LX450 ENDURO

Rating (2021): 4.81

The most powerful engine The bike is equipped with a powerful 499 cubic meter engine that produces 43 horsepower. The highest parameter in the ranking.

  • Characteristics

    Average price: 295,000 rub.

  • Engine capacity: 499 cc
  • Gearbox: manual, 6 gears
  • Power: 43 hp
  • Seat height: 860 mm
  • Weight: 120 kg

Enduro motorcycles can not only participate in sports competitions, but also travel on or off the road. Here such a parameter as the loaded mass is already important, and this model is far ahead of almost all of its competitors. When clean, the bike weighs only 120 kilograms, and when loaded - 220. You can easily load your entire traveler’s arsenal onto it, and there is also a separate space for it. The almost 500 cc engine with a power of 43 horsepower will not experience difficulties even in mud or potholes. And its attractive appearance will surely attract attention to you. Cross-country disciplines are also not alien to him.

Advantages and disadvantages

  • Maximum loaded weight
  • Powerful engine
  • Economical fuel consumption
  • Six-speed gearbox
  • Reinforced disc brakes
  • Small fuel tank

New for 2011 - Patron Taker 250 - made in the style of classic street fighters, there is something from the Suzuki Bandit in it. True, in terms of seat ergonomics, the Chinese were on the passenger side - there is no narrow slope. The single-cylinder four-stroke engine (25 hp) is charged with liquid cooling, a balancer shaft, a four-valve cylinder head with two overhead camshafts, and a six-speed gearbox. The maximum speed of the vehicle is 140 km/h, and good stopping power is provided by two front brake discs with a diameter of 300 mm. The name of the real manufacturer is Yingang (Chongqing Yingang Sci & Tech Co., Ltd), it doesn’t mean much even to a specialist, but the motorcycle turned out to be truly outstanding.
