How to make a motorcycle tackle with your own hands (drawings)

Using a motorcycle stand

Currently, rolling under a motorcycle is a very important attribute in the life of every motorcyclist. Such a solution should be present in every workshop, both at home and in a specialized one, where complex work is carried out. With the help of a tackle, you can carry out comprehensive maintenance and repair of your bike. In addition, such a device can become indispensable when repairing a car. As for two-wheeled vehicles, it is used when it is necessary to lift the rear part to replace disks or tires, or when repairing the cooling radiator. If you intend to repair the motorcycle yourself, be careful when choosing the appropriate model of stand.

Motorcycle repair tool

Today, a motorcycle tackle is in great demand; it is a mandatory attribute in the arsenal of every motorcyclist who knows how to properly care for his bike. It is used in the process of various works, when repairing cars. For example, a motorcycle lift is used when it is necessary to lift the rear of a motorcycle and change wheels or tires, or when repairing a cooling radiator. If the owner repairs his motorcycle himself, then buying a mount requires a lot of responsibility. They are relevant both for the home workshop and for specialized repair shops.

Motorcycle tackle: types, features, DIY creation

For many years, buying a bike has been every man's dream.
Traveling on a two-wheeled beast with the ability to reach incredible speeds, enjoying the whistling of the wind and the cars flashing past, is truly an amazing experience. And if such a vehicle provides its owner with maximum safety and driving comfort, then the upcoming ride will be not only exciting, but also enjoyable. Every motorcyclist must understand that his new “friend” needs appropriate maintenance, which consists of diagnosing and removing all kinds of faults.
And in order to successfully carry out repair work at home, you need to equip your workshop with such a device as a motorcycle underride.

What will it take?

First of all, it is necessary to prepare an approximate drawing of the future structure. You can take a photo of any finished stand as its basis. In our case, it will be a kind of stool with four lifting legs, which will be raised to the desired height using any old jack.

The main thing is to take the necessary measurements. First, let's measure the ride height. For cross-country models it is approximately 32 mm. Accordingly, the minimum height of the stand for storing a motorcycle will be about 26 mm. In order to carry out repair work, the unit must be raised by approximately 40-45 cm. Accordingly, for this you will need to purchase 4 pipes 30 x 30 mm about 20 cm long and the same number of pipes of a slightly smaller diameter (25 x 25 mm) about 25 cm long One pipe should fit into the glass (pipe of a larger diameter) not too tightly, but it is better not to allow the elements to dangle too much. The optimal space between the pipes is considered to be 1 mm, so if you purchase parts of a different size, you should take this into account.

In order for the structure to be a full-fledged lift, when making a stand for a motorcycle with your own hands, you additionally need to prepare:

  • a piece of corrugated metal, about 4 mm thick;
  • corners 35 mm;
  • welding machine.

Healthy! Of course, expensive equipment is difficult to obtain, so if desired, you can fasten the entire structure with ordinary bolts.

After this you can start working.

Motorcycle tackles

Placing the motorcycle in the garage is another matter. Yes, the floor there, as a rule, is concrete, and the motorcycle is not in danger of tipping over, but for more comfortable access to components and assemblies, a vertical position of the vehicle is required, and there is a slight slope to the left on the side stand. Sometimes this problem is solved by a central stand, but not all motorcycles, in principle, can be equipped with such a device. Therefore, the best solution is motorcycle tackles. These devices allow you to fix the vehicle in a strictly vertical position and, due to the wide base, provide significantly greater stability compared to the central step. Motorcycle tackles are widely used in service centers, and there is a use for them in a private garage.

Selecting a Factory Lift

The first thing you should pay attention to when choosing a stand in a store is the manufacturer of the device. The manufacturer must certify its product and provide all quality guarantees for the device

Factory lifts undergo a series of safety and operational tests. Branded products must comply with GOST standards. Good expensive lifts are made from quality materials using modern technologies

Therefore, it is very important to choose the right model

The motorcycle lift industry is evolving along with technological progress. New production technologies are emerging, new materials for manufacturing are being developed. Competition among manufacturers leads to the emergence of more functional and easier-to-use devices.

Branded tires are increasingly being used by professional riders around the world. The presence of a large number of additional accessories can significantly expand the capabilities of these devices and simplify their work. A modern lift can be operated by one person and allows you to lift a heavy rear end, securing it securely.

Homemade stand for more convenient motorcycle maintenance

You can make a stand with your own hands from a profile pipe and sheet metal for convenient maintenance or repair of a motorcycle. The design is very simple, so anyone can do it if they want.

First you need to cut the blanks that will be needed in the process of making a motorcycle stand. To do this, the master uses a cutting machine. But you can cut everything with an ordinary grinder.

At the next stage, the master drills holes in the workpieces. Then you can start welding work. First, you need to weld the base of the stand in the shape of the letter “H” from sections of profile pipe.

Step-by-step process for making a homemade stand

At the next stage, a stand made of a round steel pipe needs to be welded to the central lintel of the base of the structure. And after that, the master makes and installs a lifting mechanism with a lever.

A square metal support plate is welded to the top of the post. Next, all parts must be cleaned with a grinder and painted. And after that you can start assembling your homemade product. A piece of plywood is screwed to the base plate.

Existing types of tackles

As mentioned above, in the relevant stores you can find a wide variety of tackles for a vehicle such as a motorcycle. They are divided into several groups , having different operational properties, operating principles and prices.
In order not to make a mistake in choosing the appropriate model, you need to study existing classifications in advance and review the list of popular offers. Among the most common types of motorcycle tackles, the platform version takes the leading place. It is characterized by special compactness, which expands its scope of use. Hydraulic inventions are necessary for repair work or maintenance of touring class bikes with large mass and dimensions. Such a solution is rolled under the motorcycle frame or engine compartment, and the use of a hydraulic drive helps raise the vehicle to a specific height.

The presence of such features gives the specialist access to all important components and parts of the motorcycle, which is necessary for successful comprehensive repairs. With the help of a good rolling tool, you can manipulate wheels, repair the chassis, and also carry out full diagnostics. In addition, lifting mechanisms are indispensable for machines of any class. Due to the presence of special adjusting screws, the motorcycle is fixed as securely as possible. In this case, the worker can adjust it according to the height and width of the device, leaving the working area free for further repairs from any side. A properly executed design allows you to get to the right place without much difficulty.

Buying a factory model

Before deciding on a specific model, consider the manufacturer’s popularity and consumer trust in it. It is important to give preference to those offers that have appropriate quality guarantees and accompanying certificates.

It is no secret that all factory products are pre-tested for suitability for further use, which ensures maximum safety, both for the motorcyclist and his two-wheeled “beast”. A good tackle must have a GOST certificate.

As for affordable domestically produced products, in most cases they are quite high quality , but with imported models the situation looks completely different. Cheap lifts do not always cope with their responsibilities and are not suitable for full repairs. The wrong approach to choosing the right model can lead to great danger, creating an emergency situation or scratching the vehicle.

Offers from trusted companies are characterized by excellent performance properties and increased reliability. Such devices are purchased by professional motorcyclists who value their own safety and the safety of their iron “friend.”

In addition, self-respecting brands try to keep up with the times, so they constantly introduce advanced technologies in new developments , trying to improve existing products. Due to high competition in the production of new lifts, interesting offers are constantly coming on sale. Many of them are truly reliable and convenient and surpass previous developments in functionality and other characteristics.

A reverse handle is supplied with the tackle. A properly made product does not require complex maintenance, and it can be installed with the efforts of one worker. Transportation around the workshop is very simple, and the reliability of fixing the vehicle is maximum. Due to these advantages, the tackle allows you to successfully lift the rear part, protecting the car or motorcycle from an unexpected fall.

Factory inventions are professional equipment with many advantages. Let's highlight the most important ones:

  • Such models are actively used by professional racers and motorcyclists;
  • They are characterized by ideal geometry and versatility;
  • The factory-made trolley comes with a handle that allows you to operate it without the help of third parties;
  • Such devices are placed under pendulums or sliders;
  • Lifts from stores have special regulatory elements that allow you to change the configuration of width and length;

The main advantage of tackles is their ideal geometry. But it is this parameter that determines the reliability and correctness of the bike’s fixation.

Models for two wheels are practically no different from each other. When choosing such a solution, you should pay attention only to reliability and ease of use.

Many people prefer purchased models of motorcycle lifts, because there are a huge variety of them on the market. However, others try to make a tackle with their own hands, because its cost is quite high. If you belong to the first group, carefully consider all the characteristics of your upcoming purchase when purchasing a suitable solution for the rear or front wheel. If you don’t see anything difficult in trying to complete the design yourself, be prepared to devote the necessary time and attention to the upcoming operations.

Using a lift to repair a fork

It's no secret that a front lift is a useful tool for rebuilding a fork. You need to understand that existing adapters have different diameters , so you need to choose the right solution for a specific motorcycle. The front roll can be used to store the machine in winter. The design is particularly easy to use and does not require additional maintenance. As for operation, it is not at all difficult. It is enough to follow some rules and step-by-step guidance.

Tackles for the rear wheel, for example, L-shaped, are made in the form of an adjustable product, which is equipped with a comfortable handle. It can move along the surface due to movable wheels. The presence of clamps helps to hold the wheel on all sides.

When choosing the appropriate option, pay attention to the width of the clamp . It is determined by the width of the wheel. Such a roll will become an indispensable solution for workshops and repair services, where it is necessary to withstand loads of up to 300 kg, distributing the weight throughout the entire structure. Using this device, you can quickly lubricate the chain or replace it with a new one. You will also be able to hang the bike in such a way that the suspension receives maximum unloading.

Types of motorcycle stands

Today, tackles have proven themselves to be very convenient devices for repairing and servicing a bike. Every motorcycle owner who has had to repair their equipment has thought about purchasing such a device. The tackle allows the owner of the iron horse to install it very steadily for repairs. The roller is very convenient when changing a wheel - it allows you to hang the motorcycle and thereby easily remove the wheel.

We can say that a homemade stand is a do-it-yourself motorcycle stand, only without a table. If there are wheels, the lift can easily be moved to a given location for repairs. The small dimensions of the device allow it to be used in places with limited space.

Types of stands:

  • rear - for servicing the rear of the motorcycle;
  • front - for servicing the front of the motorcycle.

The front type lift comes with an adapter that allows you to hang the wheel for repairs. The adapter is selected for a specific bike model. This tool is suitable for repairing the front fork. A do-it-yourself car tray is ideal for storing cars in the winter. It has a simple design and does not require special knowledge to operate it.

The rear type tackle is a little more structurally complex. It features an L-shaped device with a handle. It is equipped with clamps whose task is to securely hold the wheel. The width of the clamps is selected for a specific wheel. Such tackles are mainly used by repair services, as they allow lifting weights of up to 300 kg. With the help of such a tackle, you can hang the motorcycle in such a way that the suspension is maximally unloaded. Thanks to this feature, it is quite easy to replace the chain.

DIY assembly

In order to make this device, you will need the following materials:

  • welding machine;
  • angle grinder;
  • drill and tape measure.

There are many options for assembling and installing such a device; we will consider one specific one as an example.

  1. Naturally, the first thing you need to do is draw a drawing with your own hands for the ATV blade, according to which the assembly will be carried out.
  2. Now you can start working with the material. The first thing you need is metal. It’s great if the farm has an empty and unnecessary metal barrel with a volume of 200 liters. This container is cut into three parts. This will be the future snow shovel.
  3. You will also need the ability to work with a welding machine, since you need to weld two workpieces together along the contour. The width of the resulting canvas should be about 3 mm. This will be enough for a homemade blade for an ATV.
  4. The third stage is strengthening the lower part of the structure with a knife. For these purposes, you will need a strip of metal with a thickness of 5 mm, and its length should correspond to the width of the scraper. After this, you need to drill a hole with a diameter of 6-7 mm. The distance between the holes should be from 11 to 13 cm. In this way, a place is prepared for installing a safety strip made of rubber material.

How to make a motorcycle stand with your own hands

September 16, 2021. Category: Motor vehicles.

Like any other vehicle, a motorcycle requires periodic maintenance.

However, if a car can be driven into a pit and repairs can be carried out without problems, then such a trick will not work with a two-wheeled “horse”.

In this case, a special motorcycle stand is required, which is a rigid welded frame structure capable of lifting the “bike” and fixing it at the desired height.

Such “stands” can be purchased without any problems at any specialized store, but they will cost at least 5,000 rubles. Some motorcyclists prefer to use improvised stands for these purposes, the role of which is most often played by hemp. However, this is not entirely convenient. Therefore, it is much easier to make a stand yourself.

In order to carry out repair work, the unit must be raised approximately 40-45 cm.

Accordingly, for this you will need to purchase 4 pipes 30 x 30 mm with a length of about 20 cm and the same number of pipes of a slightly smaller diameter (25 x 25 mm) with a length of about 25 cm. One pipe should fit into the glass (pipe of a larger diameter) not too tightly, but In this case, it is better not to allow the elements to dangle too much.

The optimal space between the pipes is considered to be 1 mm, so if you purchase parts of a different size, you should take this into account.

In order for the structure to be a full-fledged lift, when making a stand for a motorcycle with your own hands, you additionally need to prepare:

  • a piece of corrugated metal, about 4 mm thick;
  • corners 35 mm;
  • welding machine.
  • Healthy! Of course, expensive equipment is difficult to obtain, so if desired, you can fasten the entire structure with ordinary bolts.

    After this you can start working.

    Making a stand

    First you need to prepare the foundation of the future structure. To do this, you need to install the corners so that they form a rectangle and weld them. After that:

    • We install 4 30 mm tubes in the corners and weld them to the base. It is important to ensure that all elements are installed parallel to each other.
    • We install smaller tubes (25 mm) into the resulting glasses. They can be pre-lubricated to make them rise and fall easier.
    • We measure the height of all the “legs of the stool”. If they differ, then the finished structure will constantly stop.
    • Preparing the upper platform. To do this, we adjust the corrugated sheet of metal to the required size and weld it to the ends of the pipes installed in the glasses.
    • To add strength, we weld square pipes, angles or channels onto the longitudinal parts of the platform.
    • We prime and paint the finished structure.

    Additionally, you can weld on guide corners, which will be used as handles for carrying the structure.

    After this, all that remains is to install the jack inside the motocross stand and enjoy the homemade unit. The cost of such a design will be no more than 800 rubles, and the functionality is no different from the finished product.

    Alternative options

    If you have an unnecessary jack at hand, then you don’t have to worry about making a “stool”. To do this, we weld two channels to the jack on both sides of the lift and two more to them. After this, all that remains is to fix the guides and enjoy the finished design.

    If the vehicle only needs to be transported or stored in a garage, then rolls can be made. These designs are footrests on wheels. They are installed either on the rear or front wheels. To make such a stand, you will also need a welding machine. You will also need to take measurements as shown in the picture.

    The length of the product must correspond to the dimensions of the two-wheeled “horse”, so everything depends on its specific type and model.

    Thus, you can save quite a large amount of money and repair your motorcycle without any problems.

    Are there any differences between a factory tackle and a homemade one?

    The tackles are sold ready-made from many manufacturers. But some craftsmen make them themselves. When purchasing tackles, you need to buy two types, most often for the front and rear wheels. And this costs a lot. But homemade tackles do not always have the reliability of factory ones.

    Factory tackles are classified as professional equipment. They are used by professional motorcyclists and racers. Geometry is very important here. Production rolls also have a handle, with which you can perform all the work without help, on your own.

    The tackle can be installed under sliders and pendulums. They are regulated. The required length and width are set. The main quality of a tackle is the correct geometry so that you can easily lift the wheel. Only in this case can the motorcycle be securely secured.

    The wheels for both wheels of the motorcycle do not differ greatly from each other. The most important thing is that they are practical and reliable.

    Motorcyclists among themselves call a motorcycle lift a lift. On websites on the Internet you can find any catalogs with a huge list of proposed tackles. But, firstly, they are quite expensive. And secondly, it is very difficult to choose a tackle for a specific motorcycle model.

    Many manufacturers offer universal mounts, but their fasteners to motorcycle swingarms are not suitable for everyone.

    And then some motorcyclists, taking into account the high price of tackles, their unreliability and the danger that they will not fit their model, think about making a tackle for a motorcycle with their own hands. A good tackle should lift the bike and hold it.

    If you feel strong enough and have the necessary knowledge to make a motorcycle stand yourself, you will save a lot of money and make a device that exactly fits the size of the bike. For many, the most important point is the reliability of the manufactured tackle.

    In order to do everything yourself, be patient. Because it will take a lot of time. You will need to select and prepare the necessary parts and tools.

    The rear of the motorcycle can be raised in two ways. Using a bushing in the rear wheel axle. In this case, it is convenient to lubricate and change the chain. And the second option is when the bushings have threads for screwing to the pendulum. Then you can remove the wheel when replacing the tires.

    The frame of the tackle is welded. For this work you will need the help of a welder. The bushings are welded. After this you need to calculate the angles. Pay attention to the alignment of the tackle. If it is broken, all work will need to start from the very beginning.

    If you do everything correctly, the stand will help you change and lubricate the chain, replace the rubber, and the motorcycle will stand very securely, fixed with a stand of your own making.

    Good health to everyone! I think that many of those who have the desire and ability to repair motorcycles themselves have thought about how to make it more convenient and practical. After all, work on servicing the suspension or replacing wheels requires hanging the front or rear wheel, and this is easier to do with a stand like this

    But the price tag for such a gadget starts from 4 kilorubles, which is quite a lot for several pieces of iron, in my opinion. So I decided to make the stand-lift myself. For anyone interested, please see cat. So I'll start from afar. I recently got my own garage and it was decided that I would keep my two-wheeled friends there. Previously, it was stored and ridden in Mitino, but with the purchase of a trailer, the geography of enduro rides can be easily expanded. But in Mitino there was a huge plus in the presence of a repair area, where you can easily change tires, change the oil in the fork, tinker with the progression, etc. But it’s difficult to do this in a garage, because... nothing. It was possible, of course, to resort to a similar method,

    but a stump is a rather bulky and difficult thing. Yes, and dragging a motorcycle onto it manually every time will get tiresome quite quickly. So I decided to proceed as follows: – I measured the ground clearance of my TTR, it was about 30 cm. This means that the minimum height of the stand should be less. I decided to make the height 26 cm, because... I plan to use this stand later for transporting motorcycles in a trailer, but I’ll tell you about that another time. – I went to the construction market and bought the necessary parts, namely, 4 square tubes 30X30 20 cm long, 4 square tubes 25X25 25 cm long, a piece of corrugated sheet 4 thick, a 35-th corner, took 2 sticks per meter to adjust at the place itself. To be honest, they cut it for me at the market like crap, the tubes differed by almost a centimeter, so I had to adjust everything myself. “I borrowed a welding machine from a friend and got to work. First, I prepared the supporting part on which the entire structure will stand. To do this, I placed the corners perpendicular to each other, placed a 30X30 tube evenly into the formed corner and welded them together.

    Then I measured a corner for the side of the stand, cut and welded another 30X30 tube. And so on until the structure closes. It is very important that all the tubes are as parallel as possible, relative to each other, otherwise you will then experience difficulties when raising and lowering the motorcycle, because the tubes inside will begin to jam. Then I inserted narrower ones into large tubes and this is what happened.

    Having measured the height, I made sure that they were all the same, and then proceeded to make the upper part. To do this, I cut out a rectangle of the required size from a corrugated sheet.

    And welded it to the ends of the 25X25 tubes. There was some problem here, because... the sheet is quite thick, and the wall of the tube is 3 times thinner, so I first burned a small hole in the tube before getting used to welding. It is not critical and does not greatly affect the hardness, but when you cook, pay attention to this so as not to turn the pipe into a sieve. For longitudinal strength, I welded a 20X20 square pipe along the edge of the sheet; I had it lying around in the garage and decided to use it. It can easily be replaced with a corner, channel, etc., such as rolled metal. In the end this is what happened

    The lifting part moves along the guides of the support easily, slightly biting (it was not possible to achieve ideal parallels) and, most importantly, does not swing. Why did I choose 30X30 and 25X25, because they fit into each other as tightly as possible. The gap between the walls is no more than 1 mm. With other sizes the gap was larger. Also, to enhance the lateral strength, I welded corners onto the guides; they will also be used as carrying handles. I painted it with paint that was on hand at the time, but it didn’t seem to work.

    Now, with the help of any car jack, you can easily and happily lift your motorcycle and indulge in repair meditation) I hope that this post will be useful to someone. In the next post I will tell you how I converted a small passenger trailer to transport 2 endurikes. Thank you for your attention.

    Features of creating a homemade lift

    Currently, the motorcycle lift market is filled with many different offers. However, due to the high price, not every motorcyclist can afford such a purchase. In addition, choosing the right option for your “beast” is not as easy as it seems.

    And although some brands produce universal versions, their fixing elements do not fit all pendulums. Because of these features, many motorcyclists try to make a tackle with their own hands. A high-quality model is capable of lifting a motorcycle and locking it in a specific position. In this case, any costs will be reduced to a minimum.

    If you have at least the basic skills and know how to handle some tools, this will allow you to complete the work ahead in the shortest possible time. In this case, you can create equipment that fits the size of your iron horse .

    To successfully do everything yourself, be patient. It is no secret that such an action requires a lot of patience and time, so if you are not ready to sacrifice several hours to assemble all the parts, then simply do not start the work.

    Step by step guide

    1. You can use a variety of methods to lift the rear wheel of a motorcycle. One lifts it with a bushing placed in the rear wheel, allowing the chain to be changed or lubricated quickly and efficiently. The following method is suitable for cases where the bushings have threads for fastening to the pendulum. Here it is especially convenient to unscrew the wheel to change tires.
    2. When making the frame, it is necessary to use welding equipment. If you don't have one or don't know how to handle it, ask an experienced welder for help. At this stage, you should weld the bushings and then calculate the angles. Take into account such a parameter as the alignment of the roll. If it is not correct enough, you will have to start the action from scratch.
    3. If you have successfully built a homemade lift by following the established instructions and using only the appropriate materials and tools, it will likely have increased reliability, safety, and performance.

    Every motorcycle owner wants to look after his “friend” in a special way, well and carefully. For this purpose, he is ready to take any measures to ensure that the iron horse works without failures.

    Making a good motorcycle tackle at home is much easier than you might imagine. This solution will become an indispensable assistant in vehicle maintenance and repair, increasing driver safety while driving.

    Making your own tackle

    Motorcycle tackles are not such a complicated device. If you don’t want to spend three to ten thousand rubles on a purchase, you can easily make them yourself. There are quite a lot of drawings and instructions on how to make tackles; you only need a little skill in working with metal, the basics of welding, a corner or square and 2-4 small wheels. The latter are great for old roller skates.

    The basis of your tackle is a U-shaped frame. The width must be chosen based on the width of the rear swingarm or the front fork if you are doing a front tackle. Add five centimeters for adjustment. It is advisable to strengthen the corners of the frame with gussets. It is advisable to weld a handle to the crossbar for convenience. At the ends of the legs, make holes for attaching the wheel axles. Then you need to weld the posts to the ends of the legs. Please note that the racks must be welded at an acute angle to the legs of the frame in order to prevent the roll from tipping forward. Seventy-five degrees is the optimal angle. It is imperative to make gussets between the posts and legs, since this corner bears the greatest weight. The corners on which the pendulum will rest are attached to the top of the posts. Two nuances: the corners should not be welded hard, but should be placed on the axes of rotation, and it is advisable to cover them with rubber so as not to scratch the coating of the pendulum.

    For the front wheel? No more difficult than for the rear one, but the racks must be higher and converge at the top for attachment to the traverse.

    Types of tackles and stands

    Modern industry offers a wide selection of suitable devices, so choosing a truck for your motorcycle will not be difficult. When choosing, you need to take into account the weight of the motorcycle, the type, and the type of rear suspension. The rear wheel, as a rule, secures the motorcycle under the rear swingarm, which allows you to easily remove the rear wheel. The front stand for a motorcycle is much higher; it is impossible to fix the vehicle under the fork legs, since when dismantling the front wheel this threatens to tip over. Therefore, at the front, the trolley is fixed under the traverse, ideally the top one, if the design of the motorcycle allows it. The higher the fixation point is located, the more stable the structure. Due to the huge number of options for the design of the front fork, ideally you need to select a front fork directly for the motorcycle. For cross-country motorcycles, they do not use tackles, but stands under the central part.

    Types of devices

    The most popular type is the platform lift. It is quite mobile and versatile - it allows you to service different types of motorcycles. Hydraulic ones are used mainly for servicing heavy touring motorcycles and massive choppers. This type of lift is installed under the motorcycle frame and lifts it using hydraulics. Thus, the motorcycle is left in a suspended state, which allows for comprehensive maintenance and repair of equipment. Tools of this type have many adjustments and settings, which allows them to be used for repairing motorcycles of any type.

    Fixing the motorcycle in a vertical position

    A slight movement of the foot, practiced until it becomes automatic, and the rider leaves the saddle, leaving the motorcycle standing leaning on three points. However, heated asphalt, loose soil or loose soil can play a cruel joke on a motorcyclist, and upon his return he may find his faithful friend lying on his side, in a puddle of gasoline and oil. Experienced riders know about this, some install a custom footrest with a large heel, some carry specially stored plywood with them, and brutal bikers on chrome monsters basically do not use anything other than a flattened beer can.

    Factory or homemade

    When repairing and servicing a bike, it is advisable to use both types of tackles - front and rear types. Factory solutions will meet all safety requirements, will be more functional and will have additional accessories, but all this will be quite expensive. On the other hand, homemade options will be several times cheaper, but the safety and functionality of such products will be much lower.

    Advantages of factory devices:

    • factory tackles are used by professionals;
    • they have ideal proportions and geometry;
    • can be operated by one person;
    • can be installed under the pendulum and slider;
    • have many adjustments and settings.
