Irbis Garpia 250 - review of a classic road bike

The Chinese company Irbis is quite popular, and in Russia this brand is in good demand. The brand has one interesting representative among road bikes, namely the Irbis Garpia 250 model.

The main competitors of the motorcycle are considered to be well-known models from Honda and Suzuki, but unfortunately, the Japanese are superior in all characteristics. Still, the main advantage of a Chinese motorcycle is the price, which is what makes the Harpy so popular. If you are a beginner biker and want to master road adventures on your first motorcycle, be sure to buy the Irbis Garpia 250, this is a new product that has average performance and excellent appearance.

Pros:

  • high-quality assembly and parts;
  • modern appearance;
  • comfortable fit;
  • low price;
  • presence of 2 seats;
  • economical engine.

Minuses:

  • low maximum speed;
  • copes poorly outside of asphalt;
  • exhaust that does not correspond to this class.

Irbis Garpia

Perhaps the most “packed” participant in the test was the Irbis: the standard package includes front and rear arches, a pair of additional headlights and a windshield.
In addition to everything, soft side trunks and a central bag, sewn from soft foam and thin “young leatherette leather,” are installed at the stern. The look of the trunks up close is disappointing, but overall the motorcycle “looks rich.” Sometimes it’s too much, reminiscent of a highly tuned Izh-Yunker from the late nineties. The image of a “collective farm bike” is complemented by chrome-plated remote controls and eagle heads on plastic steering wheel weights. But the instruments and indicators “live” in solid stainless steel cups and look like a good tuning machined on a defense-grade engine. We are pleased: the presence of a kickstarter and an oil cooler distinguishes the Irbis from its peers. However, even here the engineers “went too far”: they welded another “end” to the muffler pipe on top, through which a small part of the exhaust exits along with the water accumulating there and, as a result, rust. At first you feel strange behind the wheel, primarily because of its prohibitive width. But, coupled with a fairly high soft saddle and wide footrests, the driver’s seat seems comfortable: there is room behind the wheel. The passenger on the Irbis is not cramped either: he has a plump seat cushion, a pleasant backrest and wide side platforms for his feet. However, the latter will have to be shared with side panniers, which make it difficult to place your feet.

The motor pleases with a pleasant rustle and smooth operation. Despite the fact that, according to the results of measurements, the Irbis turned out to be the least powerful of the entire trio, a lack of power is not felt either during acceleration or on the move - thanks to the good distribution of torque and correctly selected gearbox ratios. The latter not only works surprisingly clearly, but also has a double-armed pedal that allows you to increase gears with your heel. Comfortable!

The motorcycle is pleasant to ride too. Yes, the frame and chassis are quite flimsy, but for a cruiser with such an engine, the composure of the chassis is not critical. Yes, you won’t be able to take turns on your knees, but the Irbis is delightfully soft and comfortable. But the softness of the suspension also has a downside, and if the springs of the rear shock absorbers, like those of other test participants, can be “pre-tensioned,” then you will have to put up with the fork’s dive, especially when braking.

The Irbis brakes do not go beyond the genre: a simple caliper at the front and a drum mechanism at the rear, driven by a gigantic chrome pedal. The only qualitative difference from other devices is the front brake (chrome, of course!) with adjustable lever.

Pros and cons of Irbis Garpia 250

Advantages

  • Stylish appearance. Yes, it is completely secondary, but, nevertheless, the motorcycle looks good.
  • Capacious gas tank. Fifteen liters are enough for the Harpy Irbis to travel almost four hundred kilometers.
  • Undemanding to gasoline. The bike rides on everything that burns, preferring the AI-92.
  • Comfortable fit. Even a fairly tall biker will be quite comfortable on the Irbis Garpia 250.
  • Comfortable seats. Especially the driver's. The passenger seat on the Harpy Irbis is particularly compact in size.
  • Rich staffing equipment. There are panniers, a passenger backrest with a trunk, roll bars, a windshield - in general, everything that usually costs money for. All this stuff comes included here.
  • Affordable price. For the price of the new Irbis Garpia, it will not be easy to buy a Japanese cruiser. The maximum you can count on is some elderly Yamaha XV 250 Virago or Honda Rebel 200, also not the first freshness.

Flaws

  • Weak brakes. The front one is somehow enough, but if there is a passenger, the braking distance almost doubles, and one brake disc with a 2-piston caliper is simply not enough. The drum rear brake of the Irbis Garpia is practically useless at all.
  • Headlamp light is too weak. This problem is typical for most budget motorcycles, and the Irbis Harpy 250 is no exception. The treatment is also traditional - replacing the standard light bulb with a more powerful analogue.
  • Sluggish dynamics. The motorcycle is too heavy for its engine. However, it still accelerates to 80 km/h more or less tolerably.
  • Passenger seat. It is clearly designed for a very compact girl up to 160-165 cm tall . Everyone else on it will be uncomfortable because of the cramped space.

Description and features

The Irbis Garpia 250 model is a classic road motorcycle that demonstrates excellent riding qualities both on the highway and in the city.

In addition, it is the most “packed” in the lineup.

The “iron horse” in question is a heavy 146-kilogram motorcycle with a brutal and stylish appearance in the best traditions of the classical school.

Chromed rear and front arches, an elegant muffler, massive footrests, as well as indicators and instruments in original stainless steel glasses create the impression of not just newness, but excellent tuning, made by professionals at a defense enterprise.

The standard engine body kit is no less impressive. The presence of an oil cooler, as well as a kickstarter, distinguishes the Irbis Garpia 250 from its domestic and foreign counterparts.

Among other things, the engineers welded an additional end to the muffler pipe, which is designed to remove part of the exhaust and accumulated moisture.

Approximate cost

The Chinese launched production of the Garpia 250 motorcycle at the beginning of 2014.
Considering the fairly young age of the model, the cost of new equipment and a used bike, but in excellent condition, differs slightly.

Exceptions include units restored after an accident, the operation of which may be unsafe.

Today, the cruiser Irbis Harpy 250 is offered by official dealers of the brand at a price of 130,000 rubles.

In the secondary car market of the Russian Federation, the cost of a Chinese motorcycle model does not fall below 90,000 rubles, which is very affordable.

The Honda XL 650 Transalp motorcycle has become not only larger than its previous brothers in the Transalp line, but also more powerful and versatile.

Appearance and features

Photo: South American harpy bird

Males and females of the South American harpy have the same plumage. They have gray or slate-black feathers on their backs and a white belly. The head is pale gray, with a black stripe on the chest separating it from the white belly. Both sexes have a double crest on the back of their heads. The females of this species are easily distinguishable as they grow twice as large as the males.

The harpy eagle is one of the heaviest species of eagle. Steller's sea eagle is the only species that grows larger than the South American harpy eagle. In the wild, adult females can weigh up to 8–10 kg, while males average 4 to 5 kg. The bird can live in the wild for 25 to 35 years. This is one of the largest eagles on earth, its length reaches 85–105 cm. It is the second species after the Philippine eagles in length.

Like most predators, the harpy has exceptional vision. The eyes are made up of several tiny sensory cells that allow them to detect prey from a great distance. The South American harpy is also equipped with acute hearing. The hearing is enhanced by the facial feathers that form a disc shape around her ears. This feature is quite common among owls. The disc shape projects sound waves directly into the bird's ears, allowing it to hear the slightest movements around it.

Before human intervention, the South American harpy was a very successful creature, capable of destroying large animals by destroying their bones. The development of strong claws and short wing beats allows it to hunt effectively in dense tropical forests. But harpies have virtually no sense of smell, relying mainly on sight and hearing. In addition, their highly sensitive eyes do not work well at night. Researchers believe that even humans have better night vision compared to it.

Baltmotors Classic 200

Despite the smaller engine capacity relative to its competitors, the 200 cc cruiser assembled in Kaliningrad competed on an equal footing; fortunately, both in terms of power and size, it fits well into the .

Yes, the appearance does not allow us to talk about any canonicity, and sometimes the Chinese arrogance simply hurts the eye - just look at the device on the gas tank! Under the round glass there is a tiny rectangular scale of the fuel level indicator, and on the left there is a “parade of planets”, there is no other way to say it, the gear engaged indicator. It seems like a useful thing, but why do all the round lights light up green – the color of “neutral”? This strange composition is crowned with the image of a sailboat in the very middle of the round piece.

But everything is more or less on the steering wheel: the speedometer, tachometer and voltmeter look harmonious. Ergonomics is another strong point of the “yellow” cruisers. The only disadvantages include the relatively narrow steering wheel, located too close to the pilot, and the gearshift lever, which is excessively pressed against the footrest platform, making it difficult to crawl under it with a boot. These problems are partially mitigated by adjustment, although it is better to replace the steering wheel, fortunately there are plenty of aftermarket items in stores.

But it looks like you’ll have to put up with clumsy remote controls and sloppy welds on the footrest platforms. But the stays have stylish barrel-shaped covers, and the “body” of the motorcycle is protected by front and rear arches, which will be especially appreciated by novice bikers. In addition, the motorcycle already has standard side panniers, albeit budget and thin-walled, but lockable, and the lights integrated into their lids are pleasing to the eye.

The main disadvantage of the motorcycle was its handling. It would seem that on small wheels (16 inches at the front and 15 at the rear), the device should easily dive into turns and instantly respond to all movements of the pilot, but in reality it was necessary to apply some force to the steering wheel, especially for taking right turns. As it turned out, the front and rear wheels are not in the same plane. Whether this is a manufacturing defect, damage during transportation or poor quality pre-sale preparation is unknown, but, as they say, “the sediment will remain.”

In general, the motorcycle is by no means lost against the background of more “cubic” and noticeably more expensive competitors. And problems with geometry - well, that’s what the manufacturer’s warranty is for!

Summary

Based on the foregoing, we can say that the Irbis Harpy 250, compared to its many competitors, does not have any noticeable advantages. But it also does not have any significant shortcomings that would turn it into an outsider in the budget cruiser market. The price of this motorcycle is excellent for what it offers, and we can safely say that it is worth the money. It would be unfair to compare it with new Japanese bikes, but it can easily compete with the old steel horses from the Land of the Rising Sun.

Conservation of South American Harpies

Photo: South American Harpy Red Book

Despite all efforts, the population decline continues

General awareness of the importance of this species is spreading among people, but unless the rapid rate of deforestation is stopped, the magnificent South American harpy could disappear from the wild in the near future. No exact data on population size

In 2008, it was estimated that fewer than 50,000 individuals remained in the wild.

IUCN estimates indicate that the species has lost up to 45.5% of its suitable habitat in just 56 years. Thus, the species Harpia harpyja is listed as Endangered in the 2012 IUCN Red List assessment and is also listed as Endangered by CITES (Appendix I).

The conservation of South American harpies depends on habitat protection to prevent them from reaching endangered status. The harpy eagle is considered endangered in Mexico and Central America, where it has been extirpated from much of its former range. It is considered endangered or vulnerable throughout much of its South American range. In the southern part of its range, in Argentina, it is found only in the forests of the Parana Valley in the province of Misiones. He disappeared from El Salvador and almost from Costa Rica.

The South American harpy eagle is very important to the rainforest ecosystem. Saving the population could help conserve the numerous tropical species that share its habitat. These predators control the number of arboreal and terrestrial mammals in the rainforest, which ultimately allows the vegetation to flourish. The extinction of the South American harpy eagle could negatively impact the entire tropical ecosystem of Central and South America.

Social structure and reproduction

Photo: South American harpy chick

South American harpies begin looking for a partner at the age of 4 to 5 years. Males and females of this species spend their lives with the same partner. As soon as a pair unites, it begins to look for suitable nesting sites.

The nest is built at a height of more than 40 m. Construction is carried out jointly by both sexes. South American harpies grab branches with their strong claws and flap their wings, causing the branch to break. Such branches then return to the nesting site and line up together to build a huge nest. The average harpy nest has a diameter of up to 150-200 cm and a depth of up to 1 meter.

Once their nest is ready, copulation occurs and after a few days the female lays 2 large pale white eggs. Incubation is carried out by the female, since the male is small. During this period, the males do most of the hunting and incubate the eggs only for a short period of time, when the female takes a break to feed. The incubation period is 55 days. As soon as one of the two eggs hatches, the couple ignores the second egg and switches entirely to parental care for one newborn.

For the first few months after hatching, the female spends most of her time in the nest while the male hunts. The chick eats a lot as it grows very quickly and fledges at the age of 6 months. However, hunting requires a higher level of skill, which is refined in the first couple of years of the life cycle. Adults feed the juvenile for a year or two. Young South American harpies lead a solitary life for the first few years.

This 125cc motorcycle weighs little, so it has a great advantage on the road.

Snow leopard Harpy - a brief overview

IRBIS Garpia / Irbis Harpy

The IRBIS Garpia motorcycle is the company's first chopper. This model will be appreciated by lovers of brutal proportions. Specially selected road tires hold the track reliably. The Harpy snow leopard is comfortable for the driver and passenger, whose seat is equipped with a backrest. A powerful motorbike is popular among city dwellers who periodically go out to enjoy traveling short distances.

The optics of the IRBIS Garpia motorcycle effectively illuminate the road at night and make the chopper visible in the fog. The ergonomic instrument panel displays information about the operation of the bike’s systems and components, the functions of which are activated by conveniently located controls. Reliability on the road is increased thanks to modern brake systems that can stop the motorbike quickly and safely.

The motorcyclist driving the IRBIS Garpia is protected by a windshield. The appearance is improved by protective bars, additional lighting equipment and luggage cases. The motorcycle is equipped with a powerful oil-cooled engine and a reliable five-speed manual transmission. Gears shift smoothly and without jerking.

Design

Externally, the Irbis Harpy very closely resembles expensive Japanese motorcycles; it will be quite difficult for a non-professional to distinguish between them. At the front there is a large headlight, complemented by several small ones, and a protective windshield that protects the driver while driving at high speed.

An advantage and original design feature is the luggage side cases, made of high-quality leather. Chrome parts - arches and muffler - give the motorcycle a brutal appearance. The instrument glasses are made of high-quality stainless steel, which gives the dashboard a stylish look.

igor utynk:

and you can buy spare parts for it from you, for sale I bought a spare part

Alexander Yarmak:

An excellent motorcycle for the money... In Ukraine, 4 types of these have been sold for about 30 years... with and without an oil cooler. The engine is weak but reliable... and there's no need for a kick... I've driven more than 100 thousand tracks on them. The cruiser is 100 Chinese...maximum speed is 130 Chinese...with a Mikuni carb it becomes more powerful for 2-3 horses. The attachment is flimsy and brittle...the engine is excellent...there are plenty of spare parts in China.... and direct flows too. I advise... it's a pity the rear drum... but you can buy a kit for installing a disc one on Kupinatao or TaoBao... The wheels here are big... maybe even tubeless...

Bob Dylan:

fuck it vibrates =)

Leonid Rogov:

How does a chainsaw work...

Alexander Ford:

My personal opinion is that with such an exhaust it’s a moped, no matter how long it goes there

Alexander Ford:

direct flow needs to be done properly, a chopper with such a sound, I don’t know

Andrey Oshchepkov:

I bought this miracle for myself. There is no kick starter. The cases are plastic. Eats up to 250 cubes normally.

Alexander Karpov:

Yuri Egorov:

sounds like a lawnmower...

jime live:

the headlight is fucking rattling XD the tunnel is lighting up this dude, please advertise

Faina Glory:

Guys, why did you turn up the idle speed, the whole engine is shaking, you are doing a review, start it aside. regulate it as it should, then show it to people, otherwise it turns out to be anti-advertising... It’s not the ILO’s fault, if you rape it like that???

Alexander Yarmak:

A normal bike and cheap... and you can install a tubeless... if it's not worth it anymore. and the wheels are big... less nuts will come off. And the engine is excellent... I've driven more than 70 thousand tracks on these. This engine definitely needs an oil cooler. The engine is almost a complete copy and has a large resource. For 90 thousand... great spend!

1977bator:

you would put a person of average height on a motorcycle, otherwise there would be no comparisons with a person

alexemaev1:

One thing is good! That the speed limit on this device is difficult to break (and it’s scary to approach it, that is, to this threshold)... If you’re like me, then don’t be afraid! — I have experience with “Soviet” motorcycles, the engine is not good, even though it’s Chinese, but the rest can be done by hand. But where can someone like me ride it? I don’t take girls for rides, but I can’t ride it off-road (for mushrooms or fishing)… Young people now can’t all gas, let alone repair and remake equipment correctly!, so I don’t know who will be lucky enough to sit on such a horse….

Vadim Verkienko:

Yes, China rules, Vara is hanging loose, probably there weren’t enough bolts))))

alex pupkin:

Why does a motorcycle have a remote start feature? In the cold, bark to keep the cabin warm?

John89616:

actually a walk-behind tractor =) Why can’t the Russian Federation still set up its own production of motorcycles? (although the question is rhetorical)

Reviews from Irbis Garpia owners

A normal bike for the money, although the manufacturer has a lot of show-off, of course, what is their advertising video worth? But the Harpy is really a normal spendthrift, it drives so-so, but it’s quiet enough for the city. The wind blows away sometimes, especially on country highways, because... the motorcycle is light. There are a lot of goodies installed from the factory that you would have to buy anyway, but they come as an extra. It’s worth the money, it doesn’t fall apart while driving, there have been no breakdowns in 12 thousand km, only maintenance and replacement of the chain and sprockets. The original chain is slag, it stretches like Durex, it had to be tightened every 200-300 km, so it’s better to change it right away. Igor, Moscow, Irbis Harpy 250 '2015

I was choosing between the old Virago 125 (a friend suggested it) and the new Irbis Garpia. I looked at the review, read the reviews, ended up taking a new Chinese one and didn’t regret it even once. I understand perfectly well that later, when I change trains, it will be difficult to sell without losing money, but for a year or two it is better to travel on a problem-free Chinese car than on a Japanese car that is crumbling with age. Now I’m riding for the second season - the flight is normal. Alexey, Murmansk, Irbis Harpy 250 '2017

I didn’t expect much from the Chinese, but after the purchase I was quickly disappointed. It doesn’t move at all, the gears jam periodically when switching from first to second - you have to drop it back to first and shift again. The headlight does not shine at all, the paintwork is scratched by the zipper lock on the jacket. The sound of the standard exhaust is reminiscent of a screwdriver. The only advantages are that it’s inexpensive and looks cool, the rest is nothing but negatives. Ilya, Vyborg, Irbis Garpia 250 '2016

Motorcycle for travel

Most motorcyclists buy the Harpy for long trips. A bike for such trips should be as comfortable and reliable as possible. All the shortcomings that similar models suffer from were taken into account by the manufacturer, who tried to create a comfortable motorcycle. On long journeys, the main thing is the seat, which in the Harpy is made of soft materials. The bike is equipped with a wide handlebar and footpegs. A separate seat with a small backrest allows you to take a passenger on a long journey.

The Irbis dashboard contains various indicators that allow you to monitor the condition of the motorcycle during the trip and fully control the movement.

IRBIS technology

The IRBIS company offers not just motorcycles, but the opportunity to become part of the motorcycle community, an interesting and vibrant life filled with drive, new experiences and a feeling of complete freedom over time and circumstances. IRBIS road motorcycles are created for lovers of adrenaline and speed, SUVs are for those who want to test themselves and feel the heady taste of victory over the track.

IRBIS scooters are ideal for moving in urban environments and outside the city, for those who do not want to depend on traffic jams and face parking problems.

ATVs and snowmobiles - for lovers of outdoor activities with family or friends.

IRBIS is a great option for both experienced riders and beginners. Following the motto “We make motorcycles accessible to everyone!”, the company works to ensure that energetic, purposeful and positive people can join the motorcycle community. IRBIS equipment is adapted for harsh Russian conditions and has proven its reliability in practice. It should be noted that each new IRBIS model is produced taking into account the practical comments of consumers. For managers, engineers, and developers of IRBIS, feedback from the buyer is extremely important, because the company creates products for ordinary people and their needs.

Everyone will find their own IRBIS.

  • Lifan LF 250. Perhaps the most famous copy of Viraga. It is distinguished by high reliability and interchangeability of many spare parts with Viraga.
  • Reggy Cowboy 250 . Outwardly, it also very much resembles the Viraga, but in fact this motorcycle was copied from the Lifan LF 250. It is rarely found on the secondary market, and is inexpensive due to its illiquidity.
  • Keeway Superlight 200 . It has similar characteristics with the Irbis Garpia 250 - both motorcycles are quite leisurely, have weak brakes, but at the same time they look decent.
  • BM Classic 200. Another owner of a 200 cc single-cylinder engine from the cruiser class. Perhaps the most affordable option.

First look at the Harpy

Behind the catchy name lies the most ordinary small-capacity cruiser, a kind of “entrance ticket” to the world of leather and sparkling chrome. Externally, the Irbis Harpy 250 is indeed very reminiscent of the Yamaha XV 250 Virago, if we talk about the overall impression. The same hunchbacked silhouette, short wheelbase by class standards and teardrop-shaped gas tank. However, this can be attributed more to the advantages of the Irbis Garpia 250 - the bike looks organic, without cheap pathos. Light and compact for a cruiser, it tries to follow all the canons of style. For a budget Chinese motorcycle, it does, let’s say, pretty well.

But the technical characteristics of Irbis Garpia are a little let down, even compared to other Chinese copies of Viraga. The designers placed a conventional single-cylinder air-oil-cooled engine in a steel frame - this is what distinguishes the Irbis Harpy from the Japanese original, equipped with a traditional V-shaped twin. Claimed power is 15.6 hp, torque is 17 Nm. The motorcycle engine has to be actively turned in order to feel some kind of dynamics - the Harpy has some difficulties with this. Its 223 cc engine is structurally simple, and therefore reliable, no doubt, it is simply weak for a bike weighing under one and a half centners. The stated maximum speed is 140 km/h, but in reality the motorcycle accelerates to approximately 115 km/h, taking into account the speedometer error. Everything else in the Irbis Garpia is also quite expected - a chain drive, a carburetor, 5 gears, a disc brake on the front wheel and a drum brake on the rear... A standard set of characteristics for a small-capacity Chinese cruiser.

Subjectively quite light, the Irbis Harpy is easy to control. Thanks to the low center of gravity and short wheelbase, the bike maneuvers easily even at near-zero speed. In the city you have to change gears often - all of them, except the fifth, have short gear ratios. The front brake is informative, but it lacks efficiency a little. The rear brake is frankly of little use, and it remains in the role of an auxiliary one. But the seating position is quite comfortable even with a height of 180 cm, which is surprising for a compact and light motorcycle. The passenger, however, will have it worse - his footrests are raised too high, so that if he is taller than 160 cm, the second number will sit proudly on the seat, covering his ears with his knees.

Technical characteristics of the Irbis Harpy motorcycle

The engine capacity of Chinese Irbis motorcycles is marked in the name of the bike. The Irbis Harpy 250 has a 250 cm3 engine. The engine cooling system is oil-based, and the power unit itself is four-stroke. Despite the fact that the manufacturer recommends using AI-92 fuel, the exhaust of the Irbis Harpy is too weak for the declared category.

Separately, it is worth noting the dynamics of the engine: the maximum speed of the motorcycle is 140 km/h. You can increase gears while riding with your heel. The bike is equipped with a five-speed gearbox. Some motorists in their reviews of the Irbis Harpy note a weak braking system. This bike model is equipped with a hydraulic braking system: disc brakes are installed at the front, drum brakes at the rear. Most motorcyclists have excellent grip on the road surface thanks to high-quality tires.

Separately, it is worth noting the design features of the motorcycle - its tubular frame is made of high-quality steel. The maximum load of the bike is 150 kg, despite the fact that its characteristics are quite good. The 15-liter fuel tank allows you to make long trips.

Specifications

The Chinese bike is powered by a 250 cc four-stroke power plant, equipped with additional oil cooling.

When using domestic A92 gasoline, the engine demonstrates impressive performance, delighting with smooth operation and a pleasant rustle.

There is no lack of power either while driving or during acceleration. Thus, the motorcycle accelerates to “hundreds” in a matter of seconds, reaching a maximum of 140 km/h.

The motorcycle engine is equipped with a manual transmission (five-speed), which works very smoothly.

Technical characteristics of Ibris Garpia 250

Most Chinese Ibris models have numbers in their names, which characterize the number of cubes. In this motorcycle, you can understand that it is driven by a 250 cm3 engine. The engine itself received 4 strokes and the ability to be additionally cooled with oil. The manufacturer recommends using AI-92 gasoline, although in any case the Harpy's exhaust will be quite weak for this type of equipment.

It is also worth noting the dynamic characteristics of the motorcycle, because the maximum it can produce is 140 km/h. It is worth noting the excellent performance of the five-speed gearbox, which has the ability to increase gears with a heel. Some owners write reviews about the Irbis Harpy, noting the poor performance of the braking system. So, the characteristics of the Irbis Garpia 250 show that the model is equipped with a hydraulic braking system, with disc brakes in front and drum brakes in the rear. A large number of owners believe that the motorcycle has excellent traction and stability. That’s right, the spoked wheels are shod with high-quality rubber, which gives maximum effect.

Separately, it is worth noting the design of the Harpy, because the Chinese bike is equipped with a high-quality tubular frame made of steel. As a result, with fairly good characteristics, the new product can boast a maximum load of up to 150 kg and the ability to travel long distances thanks to a 15-liter fuel tank.

This is facilitated by a considerable weight of 146 kg and a very stylish modern design.

If you look closely, you can see a non-standard muffler. Irbis Garpia 250 for travel

Most bike lovers buy this model primarily to go on a long trip on it. Accordingly, the Irbis Garpia 250 should be as convenient and reliable as possible for the driver. The manufacturer took into account all the shortcomings of such models and made the most comfortable motorcycle possible. The main thing for traveling is the seat, so here it is quite soft and comfortable. Footpegs and a wide handlebar were also installed. You can take a passenger with you on a long journey; a separate seat with a small backrest is made for him.

Also an important factor when traveling is control over the motorcycle, and in the case of the Irbis, everything is more than thought out. The dashboard contains many important indicators, speedometer, voltmeter, fuel level indicator and tachometer. With them you will always know about the most important problems of your vehicle.

Already in the photo you can see that this is truly a real road bike for traveling. An inexperienced person will have difficulty distinguishing it from expensive Japanese analogues, which is a big plus. At the front you can see a huge headlight and several small ones nearby, as well as a windshield that will protect you at high speed.

A big plus of the design is the side trunks made of leather. A brutal look is given by the presence of chrome parts, such as a muffler and arches. Just look at the special muffler with two pipes.
