The engine cooling system contains a heat exchanger and a radiator.

The heat exchanger is installed in the rear part of the MVP.452240.002 snowmobile above the track. The snowmobile is designed for operation in harsh climatic zones; it is capable of moving on severe off-road conditions. Especially for this, the machine is equipped with a massive chassis. Despite its heavy weight and large dimensions, this snowmobile performs excellently on any road. This is facilitated by the revolutionary tMotion rear suspension with a modern control arm design that is reinforced with articulated joints. The lower part of the suspension, if necessary, tilts two degrees in different directions, in the horizontal direction. In other words, the tilt occurs during sharp maneuvering. In this case, the lateral steering/suspension shift function is activated so that the snowmobile is more willing to corner. To increase directional stability on uneven and slippery roads, the snowmobile was equipped with a special Powder Max II track. Its peculiarity lies in its record lug lug, which is 63 mm. At the same time, we will also add a slip suspension and support rollers, which had to be shifted from the edges to the central part. This arrangement was not chosen by chance, because thanks to it the edge of the track bends when the snowmobile is tilted. The edge of the track does not have stiffeners as standard, but this technology (called Flex-Edge) can be ordered as an option. The width of the tracks is 410 mm, and the length of the transverse stiffeners reaches 310 mm. For comparison, for conventional tracks this indicator extends across the entire width of the tracks. In this regard, the snowmobile in question looks preferable, and thanks to this length, the deformable zone on each edge of the track does not exceed 50 mm in width. In other words, this feature allows for quick maneuvers, and the machine is able to turn with the ease of a “high-track” snowmobile, without losing the benefits of a wide track. This effect is achieved on any surface - in a deep snowdrift, or on a knurled, flat road. The front chassis, in turn, includes traditional double A-arms, complemented by proprietary HPG Plus shock absorbers with 200 mm of travel.

The ski track width reaches 950 mm, but this figure can be adjusted downward, depending on the characteristics of the road surface. In addition, the developers have ensured ease of movement along steep mountainous terrain and slopes - for this purpose, special teeth are built into the upper suspension arms, thanks to which the driver’s feet cannot slip at the most inopportune moment.

  • Sports snowmobiles

Sports snowmobiles are most often single-seaters, light in weight, and equipped with narrow and short tracks for good handling. Sport snowmobiles are not designed for driving in deep snow, but when riding on groomed trails they have no equal. Crossovers are a subtype of sports snowmobiles. Crossovers are designed for travel both on compacted tracks and in deep snow, as well as on icy areas and sections of tracks with jumps.
  • Utilitarian snowmobiles
    are designed primarily to solve practical problems. Utilitarian snowmobiles are not very fast and maneuverable. Utilitarian snowmobiles are equipped with wide, long tracks, one or two seats, a trunk, and reliable suspension. Utilitarian snowmobiles have high maneuverability and reliability, and can be used to tow heavy trailers. Most utility snowmobiles are heavy, but there are lightweight utility snowmobiles that are close to sports snowmobiles in terms of their maximum speed. Snowmobile operating rules

The device is not suitable for movement on public streets and roadways. When driving off-road in winter, as well as in other places, the driver must follow traffic rules, strictly observing the rules. It is important that the device is registered with the state technical supervision authorities within a 5-day period from the date of purchase. Persons who have a tractor driver’s license, which confirms the right to drive type “A” self-propelled machines, are allowed to drive a snowmobile.

Before the trip, wear warm and comfortable clothes; a helmet, goggles and face shields are required, this also applies to passengers. In advance, before the trip, it is important to make sure that the snowmobile is working properly and monitor this at the beginning of the road.   1. Before starting the engine, set the reverse gear lever to neutral. You cannot turn on the engine with the transmission running to protect the uncontrolled movement of the snowmobile, because the installed variator automatically starts if the crankshaft speed of the power unit is slightly higher than the idle speed. It is prohibited to start the engine and further use of the vehicle with the hood and casings for the fast-rotating elements of the power unit and variator removed. Leaded gasoline is poisonous and causes dangerous poisoning if it comes into contact with the skin or is inhaled. Is it worth buying a Stealth 800 Wolverine snowmobile? This car will most likely be appreciated by the owners of destroyed Burans and Taiga snowmobiles. Compared to the old domestic technology, the new “Chinese” still wins quite a bit. But you need to understand that it will have to be repaired quite often. On average, every 500-1000 km you will have to suffer. Many owners, of course, will be able to tune the Stealth 800 for reliability, but you still need to understand that this is not a two-stroke Buran, which any hunter can disassemble and assemble in the cold in half an hour. Here the design is more subtle, complex and delicate.

On the Stealth 800 Wolverine, the price justifies itself, but a person who does not know how to turn nuts is better off buying the cheapest Yamaha or Arctic Cat. Expensive, but it’s civilized and takes less time.

The new manual starter is of our own production. Its main difference is an aluminum pulley of increased diameter, so the pulley will not break in the cold, and starting the engine has become even easier.

The fuel tank can hold up to 35 liters of fuel! In addition, fuel in cans can be placed in the spacious rear trunk.

The exhaust system has become even quieter and more reliable! It consists of two parts: the exhaust pipe and the muffler. Vibration from the exhaust system is absorbed by rubber silent blocks.

The original brake mechanism, consisting of two discs and three friction linings that simultaneously compress these discs, provides effective braking.

The MVP frame also has a number of advantages: an ascending wedge “nose” so that the snowmobile does not bury itself in the snow, and tracks that are open on the sides to prevent snow from packing inside the tracks.

The new ski is twice as wide as the old one! Therefore, handling has become even better. The steering design allows you to control the snowmobile with the least effort. Spring-hydraulic shock absorbers on the front ski dramatically soften impacts when colliding with surface obstacles.

Independent track suspension ensures comfortable movement. It consists of pendulums, durable and lightweight rollers, forming a reliable and simple mechanism. Also, on a snowmobile with a track length of 3830 mm, the track suspension is equipped with a mechanism for folding rear rollers.

Controllability

During our test drive, we found the Renegade to be very comfortable on the highway and handles corners well. The skis do not fall into another ski track. The 800cc engine is powerful enough to pull the sled through any corner. The Cobra Flexedge track, with 1.6-inch lugs, has the traction to keep every horsepower on the snow on most trails. Although the Renegade Backcountry is built on the REV-XM mountain chassis, it is more of a trail machine in terms of performance. But the height of the lugs is inadequate. The 1.6-inch lugs don't provide much traction on soft snow, although the 146-inch length is average for crossover sleds. The 146-inch track is long enough if the ridges are high enough, but 1.6 inches just isn't enough to tackle serious off-road terrain.

Driving a snowmobile with a track that's shorter than a regular mountain snowmobile requires a little different handling to keep up with other mountain machines. The driver can take advantage of the tracks, but there is a slight difficulty - he will have to move faster. But not all terrain allows you to go fast. If potential Renegade Backcountry owners give up the illusion that they can compete with mountain snowmobile riders, they will be very happy with their choice. Crossovers like the Backcountry are a compromise between mountain and trail design.
