Sym symphony belongs to the budget category, but its quality and reliability are much higher than those of its Chinese counterparts. For an engine with a volume of 125 cm3, the power is 9 hp. quite enough, especially since the scooter is designed for city driving. The scooter is quite light, with a low center of gravity, which makes it quite stable at any speed . The scooter looks quite compact, but this does not prevent two people from sitting on the seat. The driver sits quite high, which contributes to good visibility, which is especially necessary when negotiating traffic jams.
Review of Sym Symphony s 125. Feelings and delight. I’m sharing my emotions, catch it. At the first time of owning this vehicle, I simply did not have free time to describe the new thing, I had to drive slowly, and in every possible way bring the odometer reading closer to 1000 km))) By the way, I’m not much of a writer, so there will be rough confusion in the text. In general, let's go!
In order... From 2008 to 2013, I drove the magnificent Suzuki Verde (first the 1st generation, then the 2nd). Thanks to the team of Michio Suzuki and his company - an excellent retro car with a wonderful engine, I liked it. But the age of the scooter made itself felt: decent consumption, knocking, creaking, and sometimes damaged plastic. There were no other problems with him at all. I went and enjoyed every day.
But the diameter of the wheels no longer suited me - there was little comfort with them. Something needs to be changed, and the wishlist asked to do this yesterday (three years ago). But what can you buy in return? The decision came while on holiday in Spain
So: June 2013, hot holiday summer. Spain Abroad appeared before us with mountain serpentines, the sea coast, luxurious roads and acquaintance... with the Peugeot Tweet 125. We managed to rent this city scooter and go on a “one-day trip”. We were given a choice of taking a 300cc Maxiscut with a 12 or 13 wheel radius or a PEUGEOT TWIT with a 16 wheel radius. Maxik seemed too VOLUME for my abilities. It was a big, low, sturdy Kimko, with good wind protection. It didn't cost much more. But after assessing my abilities, I decided not to tempt fate and opted for Peugeot. By the way, for comparison, the cost of renting two helmets cost me about 65 Euros; for that kind of money you could rent a small car with a manual for 2-3 days.) But that’s not the point.
They started the wad, handed me the keys, and I sat on it. I realized that everything was familiar to me. I drove around the block and it turned out to be just what I needed. I'll take it!
The two of us left Salou (Costa Brava) towards our final destination - the Poblet monastery. A journey about 230 km long, from the sea to the mountains and back, along picturesque roads, passing highways, where for several hours of driving we encountered only one tractor, one road service vehicle and a dozen cyclists - in general, the local WILDERNESS. The road there is shown in blue; the way back is in purple.
We didn’t immediately realize that we needed to drive further away from the highway... out of ignorance, at the very beginning of the journey, we stuck our heads there, and they were driving there at about 90-120 km/h. Eeeeeee... an indescribable feeling of self-doubt.
Firstly, we were obliged to move no slower than the others, so as not to interfere, and secondly, we were slowed down by a strong coastal wind, and it was headwind. We were so blown away that we thought about turning back and not going anywhere. (Well, honestly, the thought that such a wind would accompany us all the way was frightening)
We wore half-face masks, and one of them did not have a visor, and I had to wear regular sunglasses. And the size of the helmets was too big and not great at all. You won’t find the sizes you need at rental stores, that’s understandable.
In general, it was completely wild and unpleasant - racing at more than 100 km/h on a 125cc scooter against the wild coastal wind in ¾ helmets, when trucks fly by at 120-140 km/h a meter away from us. So we were able to drive about 10 kilometers. Afterwards we didn’t stick our heads out on the highway. FUCK - we thought.
We quickly turned off the highway and began to go deeper along the winding road closer to the mountains, away from the noisy highway. Our goal was somewhere there – beyond the pass, but we didn’t know where exactly. We were heading in the supposed right direction. Around every turn, a beautiful view of natural landscapes awaited us, and sometimes dilapidated stone buildings, a marvelous view of local estates, or simply unrealistically beautiful fields. At times I caught myself thinking that we had been driving too long all alone and it became creepy. It’s as if this is the beginning of a horror film with the participation of two people who are lost somewhere in the province...) Everything is too well-groomed, despite the fact that there are NO people anywhere.
Well, okay, let the imagination draw what it wants, and we continue on our way and just enjoy the present.
What kind of country is it like outside the highways? We stopped in places where tourists probably haven't been. At least intentionally.)
One of the highlights: having gotten lost in the map, we were forced to seek help from the locals in one of the settlements along the way (Vilaplana). A man-tractor driver, 35-37 years old, head in dreadlocks, half-Rastama outfit, generally a young-at-heart Spaniard with an athletic physique, came to our aid. We started the conversation with gestures, and he responded in kind. Then the English-Spanish Surzhik came into play, grunts, glances and English “yes”, Russian “AHA”, and worldwide “OK”s))
In general, he was able to use gestures to send us in the right direction. This interaction with reality was damn memorable, it was real.
What happened next was even better. The road along which we were directed to our final destination began to twist like a snake and stretched into the mountains (photo below). Guys, this is an indescribable feeling of happiness. Alone, we climbed the ideal road to the top of the ridge among quite dense pine trees. The bright sun was shining from above, the wind had died down, the feeling of external warmth clearly spread inside with peace and incredible joy of life. And then the pines parted for the first time at the edge of the bend. OHHHHHHHHHHH! What a gorgeous view! And all this is just for the two of us!!! And so on several times. Each time the view of nature from such a height fascinated me more and more! High And skutinka gave pleasant control over the situation.
About the thoughts that visited me throughout the trip.
The main one is the cold wind. Of course, we took warm, more or less windproof clothes with us, but they somehow didn’t help. Overboard +28, but windy. The feeling of incredibleness was part of me - with the journey, the search for the right direction, the feelings were overwhelming. We really didn’t think that in such heat we would be SO cold. It's all about the sea winds. We drove, it was blowing, and the wad obediently purred under us, accelerated pleasantly and rejoiced with us in these kilometers of freedom. My second thought is roads. Oh how chic and thoughtful they are. During the entire journey, I can really only remember one moment when we felt a bump. This was the junction of the new canvas with the old one. The difference in height of about 1 cm made us understand that it exists, but no more. During the first 20 km of the journey, I completely lost interest in analyzing the condition of the road - there were NO potholes or irregularities. Even in the outback, where there were no cars even on that weekday day, and in principle there is no strong need for an ideal canvas. But there is a road service vehicle that monitors the cleanliness of the roadside and a man in uniform picks up grass (!!!), and there is not a soul around for 10 km there and 10 km back. It’s a pity I didn’t think to take a photo, but Google Maps helps out.
How long have you seen this? I never. Although I live in a city with over a million people, where all this is much more important and necessary. The third thought is scoot. Guys, this is bliss. Those who, with their usual cubic capacity, are switching to something larger will probably understand me. For me, 125 cubes seemed like a nice abyss to reach. Well, it's true! And also an excellent seating position - at times I stopped feeling my butt and asked to sit closer. A wide seat for two full-fledged people, excellent handling (compared to my usual 49CC at 12 radius), counter-steering on this one is fun, wonderful even traction - it dries up already (!) by 90 km/h - in general, everything is with it. And I thought about it. And I'm not alone. I hope that this cute French Peugeot tweet 125, who has seen the asses of many tenants from different countries, now also remembers that wonderful trip far beyond the borders of his hometown through the pass to the Poblet Monastery and back. The only thing he was missing was a windshield. In the evening it became even cooler, the sun went down and the wind caused even more inconvenience. My hands became like ice, and a cold, invigorating wind pressed into my chest.
Below is a photo of gatherings at the MONT RAL restaurant on the top of the ridge, where we warmed up in the sun, where we tasted Paella with splinters of bones in the meat and almost broke a tooth, where we only had to speak with gestures and point at the menu in Spanish without translation into English.) )) In general, the view there is simply gorgeous! The food is delicious, but unsafe
Then we continued our journey and entered the town of MONT-BLANC. Below are a few photos and, of course, the result of our journey - Poblet! Where we bought breast crosses and souvenirs for relatives.

Even then I was wondering how to get such an animal for myself - such an ideal urban handsome man. Our prices for European models are outrageous, and getting supplies for them is sometimes difficult and expensive - the thought of finding and purchasing such transport has been pushed back indefinitely, and an unattainable goal - a motorcycle - has again loomed on the horizon. But fate was favorable, because... The Sym Symphony 125 sr appeared on sale, where the power unit was the same engine as on the Pyzhe. And in general the contour of the body was Pejosh. The same wheel diameter, the same devices, BUT the price is right!!! I took aim. In a short time, I sold my Verde to a passionate guy (of which I am very happy, because the Scoot has a new good owner), found the missing amount, and was even able to find for sale the previous model Sym Symphony 125 s (almost 1 in 1 copying the Peugeot design).
Voila! (a two-week process of searching for money, opportunities, negotiations, purchasing, driving) And now the “European” is being operated on our “roads”.
I became the happy owner of a Taiwanese French car, which is highly praised by Europeans for its price and its reliability. By the way, I also praise. Now for the price, and a little later I will describe its reliability. Now more than 2500 km have been covered. The break-in limit for the first 300 km is 60 km/h. After 1000 km/h and maintenance, I tried 90-100 km/h – great, there’s still not enough wind).
Everything about it is wonderful. Driving all day - NOT TIRED! Everything is convenient.
In the interim, the thought of a motorcycle was pushed further away. Scoot for the city is the ideal solution. All that remains is a windshield, a trunk with a soft back, an alarm, and a knee cover. And there will be no limit to happiness.
It's just a bunch of positive emotions. Everything is convenient, comfortable, and economical. The brakes are tenacious compared to drums. I get a kick out of controlling the braking with one finger of one hand. Steers perfectly. There is enough power to be confident in your abilities in traffic.
The integral does not fit into the trunk))). But it is very convenient extra. compartment at the pilot's feet. You can stuff small things in there. The sound of the engine - ahhh what it is... normal. So pleasant, muttering. It is especially pleasant to hear it when opening the gas to ¾ at speeds above 40 km/h. So assertive and confident!
Well, the diameter of the wheels is the most important thing that distinguishes it from 95% of those scooters that you see on the streets of your cities. Diameter is of utmost importance and was the most important criterion for selection and purchase.
I registered it without any problems. This time, our traffic police officers pleased us with the relative thoughtfulness of the way to reduce bureaucratic barriers, but also with the same thoughtfulness of the legal seizure of money. Due to the lack of full-fledged reviews of the operation of this particular model on the Internet, I undertake to systematically provide information and emotions to the public.
Beaver everyone!
