2021 MOTOCROSS SCHEDULE
The 2021 Motocross Championship is underway and after two rounds of racing, Red Plate and Points-based Ken Roczen leads by 1 point over 450 rookie and last year's 250 National Champion Dylan Ferrandis. Ken and Dylan were the fastest and most consistent, with Aaron Plessinger the next best driver. He is in third place after two rounds, 14 points behind Roczen. Two other standout riders were 450 youngsters Adam Cianciarulo and Chase Sexton. They were also fast, but both suffered from errors and glitches.
Eli Tomac and Cooper Webb were expected to step up right away, but they struggled. Tomac trails Ken Roczen by 44 points and Cooper Webb trails by 38 points. Last year's champion Zach Osborne entered the season still nursing an injury, and he's still coping with the lingering effects from it, which resulted in his second DNF at Thunder Valley. It's been an exciting season and we still have ten races to go.
The 2021 round 12 Pro Motocross Championship schedule is unique as it starts with slow racing two weekends in a row, then one weekend before heading to High Point on June 19 and taking another week off. A slow start to the series will help drivers like Osborne, Webb and Tomac who haven't been ahead before. After three race weekends and two days off, things will look up. Round four on July 3 at RedBud will kick off the four-week race every Saturday. The series will then have two weekends as the MX Sports team heads to the Loretta Lynn National Amateur Championship. Finally, the series will resume again on August 14 at Unadilla and will race for five consecutive weeks to conclude the 2021 national season.

MX Sports Press Release: (May 21, 2021) - Following the recently announced lifting of various COVID-19 restrictions in Massachusetts, MX Sports Pro Racing has announced an updated event date for Southwick National. The annual visit to New England was originally scheduled for June 26, but will now begin July 10 as the fifth round of 2021. Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing.
