The CF MOTO 500-2A two-seater ATV became the second, improved brainchild of the manufacturer, which created a lot of excitement among fans of extreme riding on four-wheeled bikes. The obvious shortage of bikes on the market for riding with a passenger in itself foreshadowed the high popularity of the model, but the restyled version created a general sensation.

Comparing the SF MOTO 500-2A and 500-2 with each other, it is easy to notice that the manufacturer has placed the main emphasis in the modified model on appearance. Since the model itself belongs to the category of amateur vehicles, the consumer may not expect vaunted professional suspensions and shock absorbers. Series 2A became famous for its modified external parameters, based on the classic model. How I bought an ATV, CFMOTO CF500-A

Last year my scooter season didn't go well. Firstly, for geopolitical reasons. All my favorite places for trips around the dacha were plowed and sown, the trails were overgrown, and there was practically nowhere to ride. Secondly, I bought an ATV and rode it.

Therefore, in order to fill the long gap in site updates, I decided to create the “ATV” section and write notes about the ATV. I think this is much better than not writing anything. Well, as soon as I get my hands on a scooter, I’ll take care of it, especially since I still have quite a lot planned for improving the scooter.

And my acquaintance with quadrics began quite by accident - well, I just wanted to try what it was. Basically, I not only know how to drive a car, I can also ride a scooter, and I’ve also ridden a snowmobile in winter. And so, at the beginning of summer, my friend and I signed up for an ATV safari excursion. Terribly lucky, except us, no one else came that day :). Therefore, it was just the two of us plus the instructor.

The safari took place on 500cc utilitarian Polaris Sportsman ATVs.

At first I was afraid to drive into puddles. After all, my entire driver’s consciousness was built on the fact that it’s better not to get into the mud with your car! And on safari, at first I carefully avoided any dirt. However, after some time it turned out that in some places it was impossible to go around it, and I had to go straight there. To my deepest surprise, the quadric not only coped with the mud, but also went through it without noticing it at all, and without even skidding even once.

Moreover, during those 2.5 hours that we rode through the nature of the Moscow region, we even crossed water obstacles, which was completely beyond my mind!

Well, how is it possible to swim across the pond??? I had no idea that this could happen.

Of course, driving a quad is not as easy as driving a car. The steering wheel is without power, the wheelbase is short, and it is high, so I, who was used to the car, often skidded, and in general I drove rather incompetently. My friend, who has no experience driving a car, got used to the quad much faster than me. However, by the end of the ride I had more or less figured it out and instead of suffering I began to have fun.

When I got home, all I could think about was ATVs. I looked at the prices, the prices for the equipment were not encouraging. The minimum for a branded quad is 300-400 thousand rubles. No, life didn’t prepare me for this. And so I began to read different sites about different ATVs until I came across the site of Grandfather Minka, where he spoke very interestingly and convincingly about the Chinese brand CFMOTO.

Having also delved into the forum of ATV riders, I came to the conclusion that the correct Chinese equipment is not bad at all, and it does not need to be repaired any more than it needs to be ridden. And so, a week later I went to the store and ordered my future ATV there - CFMOTO CF500-A in the minimum configuration (Basic). It’s also, of course, not the cheapest thing, but you have to please yourself sometimes. Moreover, for the first quad it is generally the best choice: inexpensive, unbreakable. Well, the fact that it’s Chinese and doesn’t crash like Honda or BRP, I’ll get over that somehow.

A week later he was delivered. I immediately went to run the quad in the mud. Ha ha ha, just think, this one in the photo below, I considered dirt. And I was driving there in all-wheel drive and in low gear!

I even took photos so that I could brag to others about what a cool off-road conqueror I am.

Now I’m watching and laughing. If only I had known then what kind of real dirt I would become acquainted with in the near future.

As already mentioned, the characteristics of the CF MOTO 500-2A have not changed compared to the primary model, but driving a more aggressive and stable vehicle is still more pleasant, both for the passenger and for the driver himself. Considering the possibility of installing additional equipment, the model has ceased to be an ordinary vehicle for tourists and can easily compete with competitors in its price category.

Let's talk today about the long-standing classic line of CF500 ATVs from the Chinese manufacturer.
