I have owned this motorcycle for two seasons. I took it as the first spendthrift from Japan at auction. The impressions are the most positive. For a beginner this is what you need. 400 is still a bit weak, but 750 is just right. But in two seasons you “grow out of it.” That’s why I recommend it as a first motorcycle, or for driving around the city, because on the highway after 100 km/h the acceleration dynamics are not the same. Now I want something more powerful. I am pleased with the vaunted reliability of Honda - and it’s true - the moto has never failed. I am glad that there is a lot of tuning for this model - because you always want to put something on it, it’s like a disease :), it is probably inherent in all motorcyclists :) In a word, the bike is very good. It forgives many mistakes for beginners, since it steers well, has a relatively light weight (about 250 kg), low seating, and a wide steering wheel. Well, just for me personally, it’s very beautiful - a lot of chrome, thick wheels (well, I don’t like the thin front wheel, IMHO). In short, I recommend it. In the meantime, I’ll be puzzled about buying a Honda VTX1800 . Also a Honda, but much more powerful and for me at the moment more interesting. Have a smooth road and good luck everyone!

This is my first motorcycle, not even the one I own, but the one I actually sat on, not counting temporary “trials” in Minsk and Izh..

I decided to immediately buy something serious, unrelated to Soviet motorcycles and conveniently meeting the requirements of a modern person. I just wanted a chopper, you know, the sport is too unsafe for a beginner, and I don’t want to leave my wife as a widow. The glance was cast towards the great chop chop - Harley , but the price for them does not look attractive. In general, the answer to this decision was found in the bosom of Japanese manufacturers - Honda Shadow VT750CA6 Aero, 2006. The MOT came from an American user with a mileage of 10,000 km, in perfect condition and with all body kits (trunks, bars, backrest, etc.). A battle has been declared against traffic jams! The MOT behaves ideally in traffic jams; read, the handling is excellent, despite its impressive size and decent weight. Gasoline consumes 6-6.5 liters per 100 km. The maximum speed according to the documents is 150, but I didn’t push it more than 120, due to the persistent “grumble” of the engine, well, choppers don’t want to drive fast.

From a standstill, the spendthrift takes all its 45 horses, well, again, the chopper character forces it. The suspension is quite stiff. The brakes are quite adequate in power, especially the front disc ones. At speed the bike turns quite easily. An impressive sound, because of which everyone notices you, helps a lot in driving safety.

My model comes with a cardan drive, which takes some of the worry out of the equation.

The ideal bike for beginners and tall bikers!

I bought Shadov by accident, I was looking for a Motz with a V-twin and all the bells and whistles; type chrome, cardan, chopper landing, cubic capacity about a liter. For myself, I immediately decided on a loaded weight of up to 300. At the beginning of the season, the choice is often limited. There were no intruders at all, the dragstar 1100 had to wait two months, which is doubtful before the season, and the pair of 1100 Shadiks with a cardan were very tired. The fresh motz attracted attention immediately, the apartment was from Germany, where it had traveled a couple of thousand, it was already stuffed in Russia by the second owner. There were doubts about the price tag; 300 rubles for 750 seems like too much, a good one and a half liters cost the same. Everything was decided by the appearance, there is absolutely nothing to complain about, as it should be with a chopper with a 21 front wheel. After the purchase, I never regretted my choice, I can admire my V-twin endlessly...... Well, the injector and immobilizer were rather pleasant additions. By the way, over the past year I have attended several gatherings along the coast, I was unpleasantly surprised at the rarity of choppers, well, they are simply an endangered class. It's nice to see Harleys increasing their population exponentially. Finally I met my relative Shadik 2008 from America. Differences from the European; carburetor, plus 10 horses, almost complete absence of a balance shaft (for an American ass), and an immobilizer. The exhaust is certainly louder.

Good day to all. I’m writing my first entry a little late, but I think we’ll catch up... An entry about how I unexpectedly became the proud owner of a 2007 Shadovka 750cc on a cardan . (Just the way I like it)

And it was like that. One day my family and I came to visit my brother in Moscow and in the evening before going to bed, as usual, I decided to look on advertisement sites to see what interesting things there were in this city. While flipping through the advertisements I came across a very interesting advertisement, noted it and went to bed. In the morning I woke up early and went to drink coffee. While I was sitting drinking coffee, my brother got up and came to support my solo company. During the conversation, I shared my emotions, saying what an interesting motorcycle and a good option, to which he replied, let’s go and see, the wives and children are still sleeping, and we won’t disturb them. I didn’t quite understand why, but I agreed. Yu. Butovo and I drove all the way to the north, and when we arrived we waited another 40 minutes for the seller. I had already started to get ready to go back, especially since my wives called and started wondering where we had gone, but the owner came and we still decided to stay and look at the motorcycle. We went down to the underground parking lot, where the man had a HONDA, YAMAHA, BMW and URAL. They rolled the Shadovka aside, it started up without problems and began to look.

While I was admiring the motorcycle, my brother and the seller were hanging around the Ural, talking and laughing. When my wife called me again, I remembered that I needed to get ready and went to my brother. I say let’s go home, and he tells me, at least try to drive a box, to which I indignantly looked at him with a look of “WHAT THE FUCK?” he hands me the PTS with the words: “I know that you want to buy it, so I’m giving you a loan without a term or interest for your birthday. If you can, you’ll give it back someday; if you can’t, consider it as a gift to you...”

It was stupid to refuse, so I accepted the gift with great joy!! True, there were some small mistakes, but these are all small things compared to the joy that I experienced at that moment.

True, what upset me more was not these little things, but the fact that it was clearly visible that the panniers, arches, backrest, and possibly something else had been removed before the sale, but really, thank you for the fact that at least the fastenings for the backrest and the frame for the panniers remained. There was also no standard tool, in a word, everything was exactly as in the photo

I bought it with this mileage, even though I don’t drive that much, but I wonder how much I can drive in a year, for example, or over the whole time

Let's go home. While moving around Moscow in Butovo, I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that even though I was riding a motorcycle for the first time, it felt like I had only ridden it all my life. Very comfortably. But since my family and I arrived by car and my wife at that time did not yet have a driver’s license or even actual driving skills, we had to park the motorcycle and go by car to the Lipetsk region. I would also like to add, for context, the fact that on the way from the north of Moscow to the south, my brother and I stopped at a store where I couldn’t resist and bought a new backrest, because without it, not only does the motorcycle look unfinished, it’s also not so comfortable for the rear passenger. On the way home, of course, I had to listen to a lot, since my wife was, to put it mildly, not delighted with my purchase, but this is, as they say, work-related matters. In the evening I arrived home in the Lipetsk region and the motorcycle remained in the parking lot in Yu. Butovo.

The morning of the second day arrived. I woke up at 5:00 and set off with my backpack along the pre-agreed route. First, a friend and I drove to a neighboring village where, with a second acquaintance, we went on a truck to Chekhov, Moscow region, then by bus a couple of stops to the railway station and by electric train to Butovo. My brother was working, but he asked a friend to meet me from the train and drop me off at the parking lot... and now I’m ready to go home

I drove to the nearest gas station, it turned out to be Gazpromneft at the exit to the Moscow Ring Road and filled up about 14 liters , it simply couldn’t fit anymore. Now let's go. The first 150 km flew by unnoticed, but then my stomach reminded me that I hadn’t eaten anything today, and the time was no longer 18:50 M6 ​​highway .

Well, then there was the first jamb. Having had a snack, I figured it was time to refuel and I didn’t want to fill up with unknown fuel, so I started Googling where there was Lukoil . I found that there seems to be a place after 20 km, I’m leaving. I drive 20 km, 40 km, but there is no Lukoil. Then I started to get nervous and was ready to pour in at least something, but there wasn’t anything either!! As a result, as I remember this figure right now, after 237 km from the MKAD Gazprom, the traction disappeared and I realized that there was no gasoline!! I began to study what and how it goes where. And when I saw and examined the fuel valve, I realized that out of ignorance I opened it to the reserve position and, accordingly, I also did not have a reserve for reserve. There was nowhere to go - I drove off, okay, there was a cafe very close by where I went and asked if they had gasoline, to which I received the answer that they didn’t, but a kilometer under the hill there was a gas station of unknown origin, but at that time it didn’t matter to me)) . I rolled the motorcycle 200 meters up the hill, rolled it harder and jumped on. Due to the slope, I picked up a pretty good speed, which was enough for me to roll straight into the gas station. At the “Gas Station LLC Horns and Hooves” I didn’t take much risk and filled up with 5 liters, this would be enough for me for about 100 km, and at 60 km I knew for sure that there was Lukoil. I fill up with 5 liters of 95 and move on. True, I now turned the tap to the open position and to this day I constantly monitor this.

I reached the border of the Ryazan and Lipetsk regions and filled up a full tank at Lukoil

Even though summer is just around the corner, time is taking its toll. At ten o'clock it began to get dark and the midges hitting the glass began to slightly interfere with my view, so I stopped at a pump in one of the villages to wash the fairing and visor of my helmet.

At the entrance to the house, in order not to find myself in an awkward situation again, I decided to fill up again to a full tank and again on my beloved Luchka

As a result, at 23:03 I arrived home, put the motorcycle in the garage and, tired but happy, went home to rest.

When talking about the motor, it is important to pay attention to its type. It is characterized by four strokes and two cylinders. The engine has a liquid cooling system. The manufacturer made it with a volume of 745 cm3. The front fork angle is 52 degrees.

The fuel tank holds 14.6 liters. With such a reserve you can travel more than 300 km.
