As before, this motorcycle belongs to the “enduro” class, which means “withstand.” Designed for several use cases - it is perfect for daily trips on city streets and country roads, as well as on highways and highways outside the city. Copes well with bumps and holes on the way. Considering that the fuel tank has only 12 liters, and the consumption is 2.3 liters per hundred kilometers, this cannot be ignored. This model is similar in its class to HONDA and SUZUKI, which compete in the enduro class.

The Road 250 CB is a two-seater and therefore equipped with a comfortable wide seat. It is also equipped with footrests for passengers for convenience. There is a large platform that can be used for a trunk.

Electrical equipment

For the convenience of the driver, an ignition switch is installed in front of him. The dashboard has a speedometer, a neutral speed sensor, turn signal lamps, a high-beam headlight indicator, and a fuel level sensor in the gas tank. On the left handlebar: clutch, headlight switch (low, high), turns, signal. On the right is the gas handle, front brake, starter button.

The 250 CB has a direct-flow exhaust system. You can hear this simply by starting the engine and giving it a little revs. It has many improvements compared to other versions. A new halogen lamp has been installed on the headlight, which increases its service life and significantly improves visibility when driving at night. Both driver's and passenger's footrests have been changed to lighter and more practical alloys. The 250 CB comes with a more practical nano-gel battery. Aluminum hand protection has appeared, and the exhaust system has been completely updated. There have been changes in the ergonomics of the motorcycle - it has become convenient for passing difficult sections of roads.

In color versions for 2021, models appeared in black, red, orange, blue and a small batch in white.

To summarize, we get a model that fully corresponds to its enduro class. Even though it is Chinese, there are no complaints about the quality. Over all the years of production, the motorcycle has not only retained the advantages of the earlier models, but has also increased it significantly.

MY MOTORCYCLE

The Geon Daytona 350 motorcycle is an already well-known representative of the Chinese company, which can be found even on our roads. Although it did not gain much popularity. I have been interested in this bike for a long time and wondered why so few people buy them. What are the pros and cons of the bike and is it even worth it? In general, it has varieties GEON DAYTONA 350EFI, Geon Daytona 300, etc. but there is no particular difference, only in the volume of the engine.

Externally, the design of the bike is simply awesome and attracts the eye. looks like a chopper, although it is referred to as a "cruiser". An interesting fact is that the motorcycle is manufactured in glorious China, and its design was developed by American customizer Johnny Pag. He has been working in the field of customization since he was 13 years old and since then he has put on wheels many exclusive custom motorcycles and several limited versions of production motorcycles. It turns out this is a serial custom, as it were. It is clear that the information is no longer new for many, but I repeated myself)))).

Yes, looking at him, I really wanted such a spendthrift for myself. although the price for it in Ukraine is no longer low (despite the fact that this is still China). because of the damn exchange rate of the dollar, we can hardly even take the Chinese (the scream is choking))). But if you don’t look at the “packaging,” there are very many shoals inside. I looked at reviews from Geon Daytona owners and can sum it up. We will point out those shortcomings that you will immediately notice.

Hangings. The reviews about the front fork are generally quite good, but some recommend replacing the oil in it immediately after purchase - you will be sure that everything will be in order. You never know what was put in there at the factory.

A pair of rear shock absorbers are hidden under the belly of the bike - it’s like an imitation of the “hard-tail” style (rigid rear suspension), and this is basically what happens, especially when you’re riding with a passenger. Shock absorbers work not in compression, but in tension. I watched one video review of the GEON DAYTONA 350EFI motorcycle. so the owner of the bike installed 2 shock absorbers on the sides, as we usually see on bikes. I wouldn't say that the view has changed for the worse. But the suspension began to work normally with them and the rear rose a little and did not knock the passenger's tail off as much.

Lighting engineering. The headlight is basically crap on Geon Daytona motorcycles (sorry for the words)). Everyone complains that the light is crappy and the headlight itself is made of plastic and fragile. The same guy from the video review replaced the interior and light bulbs - and lo and behold: it works well and shines much better. The bulbs in the rear brake light also need to be changed: LEDs are a good option.

Also in the speedometer “well” there are LED indicators for turns, neutral, high beam and engine overheating. here some people complain that nothing is visible during the day; others say it's normal.

From the factory, the motorcycle comes complete with some additional equipment - these are gear indicators and gasoline level indicators, as well as a backrest for the passenger. You can do without a gear indicator, the backrest can be screwed on at any time in a few minutes, and instead of a fuel level sensor, you can use a tripmeter.

Under the rear fender there are wires for the tail light and turns - it is better to move it to the top: they are erased by the wheel at a time, especially when you are driving with a passenger.

The capacity of the 13-liter gas tank should be enough for approximately 300 km in the city, or 400 outside it. Three and a half liters of reserve (with a consumption of about 3-4 liters per hundred) is enough to get to the gas station. The design of the tank is generally a bomb, but there is a problem here: the filler neck is a little low, so you won’t be able to fill it completely. And I’ll add that the steering wheel is wide, which is convenient when riding such a bike, but the turning angle is too small.

The weight of the motorcycle is about 200 kg. and it feels confident on the road thanks to its low center of gravity. That's a plus. Another interesting thing is that even if the cherkonet is asvalt, then the frame:

An injection parallel twin liquid cooling is installed in a steel softail frame. You won’t be able to ride like a larger motorcycle at low revs here. Despite the solid bass sound of the exhaust at the bottom, the engine gives good output only starting from medium speeds. In addition, in a narrow range of low speeds (up to two and a half thousand) the engine vibrates noticeably, and these vibrations are transmitted to the steering wheel and mirrors That is why medium engine speeds are the most popular. On them, the motorcycle accelerates most quickly (as much as its maximum almost 24 “horses” and 18.5 Nm of torque allow it) and easily moves at a good cruising speed of 90 km/h. Due to the lack of a windshield, you simply don't want to go faster in the Daytona. The gearbox lacks a little definition. After engaging fifth gear, the foot travel is still large enough and therefore it seems that it is possible to engage the missing sixth gear. The same situation is observed after downshifting to first gear. Of course, you can get used to this over time. But neutral is always found without problems: it is between speeds 1 and 2. I didn’t have any particular complaints about the engine of the Geon Daytona motorcycle, although I was once told that it was garbage. I won’t argue - depending on your luck.

Brakes. Two large petal brake discs at the front and one slightly smaller one at the rear. the front brakes will have to work more if the road surface is normal, since the rear brake is quite functional, but will not be able to stop the bike so quickly. Or your wheel will suddenly jam. All motorcycle brake lines are equipped with reinforced hoses, which provide good brake performance. in general we can say. that everything is normal here and there are no mistakes.

You can tell for all the aluminum parts. that they need to be handled with care - the metal is weak. although again, depending on your luck. I didn’t find any particular complaints about the stock mirrors, but then again, it’s as convenient for anyone.

Let’s pay attention to the chain: you don’t need to tighten it too much, because when you sit down with a passenger, an additional load appears on it and it stretches more. It can still rustle and rub against its casing. You can put rubber there. Here you look for yourself and think how and what to improve.

As for the frame, I found negative reviews: cracks appear in the places indicated in the photo above and the quality of the metal is also not particularly good. It is also recommended to install arcs on the moto since the legs and footrests break at once.

Motorcycles are supplied to us both with carburetor and injection. Their consumption is excellent for a small-capacity motorcycle Geon Daytona 350, etc. - 3.5-4 l. per hundred. But in our time this is not important because gasoline is expensive.))))

In general, despite many shortcomings, I like the bike. Not everyone may be lucky enough to buy a motorcycle - no matter how you look at it, they make motorcycles in different ways: one turned out well. the second one is shit, even if it comes from the same assembly line. If possible, take “Japs” or motorcycles from other well-known and proven motorcycle brands. But the pricing policy for these bikes in our country is also frightening. It's easier to buy a used Japanese one than a new Geon Daytona. Although everyone has their own choice...

Our acquaintance with the pre-production Geon Scrambler 250 took place on the outskirts of one of the city parks. Along with road tests, I wanted to evaluate the behavior of the motorcycle on easy “crossroads”.

Despite the high ground clearance, the seat height and overall seating position will be comfortable for riders of average height. Being 190 cm tall, the motorcycle seemed a bit small to me. It should also be noted that the tank is wide in the lower rear part, which makes it difficult to “hug” the tank with your legs to properly control the motorcycle. You don’t have to reach for the steering wheel; all controls are in their usual places. There is an adjustable steering wheel angle, so adjusting it to any arm length will not be difficult.

If the rear brake foot did not cause any complaints, then difficulties arose with the choice of gears - the combination of a wide enduron footrest with the Slavic size of a motorboat makes shifting up gears not the most convenient. In the field, I had to raise the foot so that a motorized boot could somehow be squeezed under it. On the other hand, the presser foot is easy to replace.

We climb to the “intersection”. The bike “swallows” bumps, gullies and unevenness with a bang. There is plenty of traction, and ups and downs are very easy to overcome. The suspensions work with dignity and resignation. The front fork has excellent smoothness and sufficient travel. The rear suspension seemed stiff, but this is the norm for a new motorcycle: over time, the shock absorber should reach its performance characteristics and provide the necessary smoothness.


This bike is suitable for riding both in the city and on rough roads. And one of the main features of the Geon Scrambler 250 can be called all-LED lighting technology, which shines perfectly even in the daytime

Now it's the asphalt's turn. Everything is great here too. In terms of handling and maneuverability, the lightweight Scrambler can be compared to a bicycle: the dry weight of the motorcycle is only 135 kg. It easily copes with lane changes and other urban driving tasks. The engine is very playful and torquey for its 250cc, and thanks to the exhaust system it also sounds pleasant.
