Back in 2011, the Russian company introduced the Stealth Cheetah 800 ATV. The universal machine quickly earned enormous popularity among both experienced athletes and outdoor enthusiasts. Thanks to its impressive characteristics and high cross-country ability, the device can successfully compete with thoroughbred horses like Polaris or BRP.
Several modifications of the Stels 800 were released:
- Stels ATV 800 Guepard ST. This is a basic modification , equipped with hand protection, luggage racks, LED headlights, plastic underbody protection and alloy wheels. The new device costs 529 thousand rubles. A used car, produced in 2014, can be purchased for 400-480 thousand rubles.
- Stels ATV 800 Trophy. In technical terms, the modification is no different from the basic version. The main difference lies in the extended configuration . The manufacturer installed a winch, a passenger seat with a backrest, reinforced front and rear bumpers, an aluminum bottom and an arch extension. The cost of the all-terrain vehicle ranges from 629 to 634 thousand rubles (depending on color).
- Stels ATV 800 Trophy EPS. The ATV differs from the previous modification only in the electric power steering . The cost of the model is 669 thousand rubles.
- Stels ATV 800 Trophy+. This is a premium version of the device, equipped with improved RusAm shock absorbers, reinforced steering wheel and boots, heated throttle trigger and grips, and a ProTaper cushion. The price of a fully equipped model ranges from 658 to 663 thousand rubles.
The series also included the Cheetah 800 Trophy ATV, equipped with tracks. In addition to standard wheels, the kit includes a set of wide tracks. This device is perfect for driving in the snow and tourist excursions to the mountains.

One of the main differences from other domestic companies is the modern technical base. The company independently manufactures ATV parts, rather than purchasing them from foreign manufacturers. This allows us not only to reduce the cost of equipment, but also to successfully compete with global brands.

One of the main advantages of the Stels 800 ATV is economy. The car consumes only 12 liters of fuel per 100 km . A full gas tank lasts approximately 250-270 km. Users noted that on difficult routes, consumption increases to 14-15 liters.
The manufacturer paid special attention to safety. The car is equipped with hand protection, arch extensions, air intakes and an aluminum underbody that prevents damage to the suspension. But the most interesting thing is the safety check , which stops the engine when the driver leaves the saddle.

The suspension has a fairly long travel, namely the front travel is 230 millimeters, while the rear travel is 207 millimeters. The Cheetah 800 uses a disc-type braking system that has been subjected to many different tests, both in the field and on the bench. A 67-horsepower two-cylinder unit was chosen as the power plant, thanks to which the ATV can move off-road without much difficulty.
The Touring package is now in considerable demand. This model is equipped with:

Comparison with competitors
There are no worthy competitors for the Stealth Cheetah ATV on the domestic market. But there is a real struggle going on within the series. Many buyers prefer the modern and powerful Guepard 850 or the cheaper Guepard 650 model.
All three models are very similar in technical terms , but differ slightly in cross-country ability, power and load capacity. Therefore, when choosing equipment you will have to start from your budget.
Due to its explosive characteristics, the Stealth 800 successfully competes with thoroughbred horses such as the Polaris Sportsman 800 EFI or the Suzuki Kinguad 750 AXI. The domestic ATV is in no way inferior to foreign vehicles, but costs much less .

Reviews
- After the purchase, I decided to immediately check what the new Cheetah was capable of. I left the house, driving in a straight line at a speed of about 84 kilometers per hour. I decided to speed up a little, added gas and then there was some kind of shock, after which the speed dropped noticeably. The first time I did not stop and continued my trip. At first I thought that this happened because of the variator, but after trying to give it gas again, the suspicions went away, since nothing happened this time. At the end of the journey, the oil pressure indicator came on. I stopped, turned it off and checked the oil level, but everything was fine. After that, I started it again and drove off, but after a while the lamp came on again. I tried to solve these problems, but to no avail. The ATV doesn’t seem to be bad, but these shortcomings spoil everything.
- The ATV has very poor quality plastic elements. Body parts made of plastic cracked very quickly. Cracks also appear in the air filter housing, which is why the quad cannot be driven into the water, otherwise it may suffer a water hammer. The car has more than enough disadvantages, but there are still some advantages: I liked the handling and landing, a fairly playful engine, as well as efficiency.
Operating experience
In reviews of the Stealth Cheetah 800 ATV, owners noted the following advantages:
- High cross-country ability . Cheetah is a true conqueror of difficult trails. The machine easily passes through wetlands, mud, sand, etc.
- Versatility. The Stealth Cheetah ATV can be used for work, racing, outdoor activities and tourism.
- Reasonable price. The Russian device costs much less than foreign ATVs , but it is not inferior to them in technical terms.
- Reliability. Even with active use, the device will work for 2-3 years without serious breakdowns.
- Excellent package. The standard set is enough for comfortable driving over rough terrain or tourism.
Unfortunately, it was not without its drawbacks. The main disadvantage is the “weak” fuel system . Hoses and bushings wear out quickly and require replacement.

For a long time Velomotors has been tormenting us in anticipation of perhaps the most interesting new product on the Russian ATV market in recent years - the STELS ATV800 Guepard! But then the day came when we went to the nearest Moscow region to meet this new inhabitant of the STELS “zoo”.

The difficult economic situation in Russia also affected. Despite the fact that most of the components for STELS ATVs and snowmobiles are already produced at its own plant in Zhukovka, certain parts have to be purchased abroad: instruments, shock absorbers, optics. In addition, domestic metal and polymers for plastic molding have become more expensive. And, of course, the engine. Yes, the motor was developed by order of the company, and all the documentation for it belongs to it, but it is still being made in Japan: the transfer of production to Russia was planned for 2015-2016, but due to the new economic reality, the company’s management has changed priorities and is now engaged in import substitution according to for other positions, for example, shock absorbers, Belarusian and Russian samples are tested. All this was reflected in the price of the quad: instead of the original 265,000, it now costs 460,000 rubles. And they plan to start producing the engine in the Russian Federation later, in 2017-2018. But enough about the sad things, it’s time to check whether “Cheetah” is worth its “new” money!
The location of the transmission mode selector - behind the wheel - is not the best
The quad is beautiful, brutal and, most importantly, unique! The driver's seat and footpegs are wide and long enough that the rider is unaware of the presence of a passenger, who sits on a terribly comfortable seat copied from a Can-Am (the technicians said they are completely interchangeable!). The steering wheel is located at the right height: suitable for almost anyone’s height, comfortable for a quiet ride while sitting, and for a more sporty ride – standing. In addition, unlike even some famous ones, an electric booster is not particularly needed (there isn’t one): operating the device even on difficult terrain does not require much physical effort, the steering wheel does not vibrate, does not break out and does not hit your hands.
A peppy, high-torque, powerful V-twin provokes active driving
The suspension has an impressive travel (225/243 mm) and is tuned to a utilitarian-tourist mood, i.e. it is soft and perfectly handles “waves”. But due to the width and long base, the quad is quite stable both during fast driving and when cornering.
The passenger seat is simply royal! And can be easily removed if necessary to get to the battery
And the engine is V-twin, 67 hp. s., 73 Nm - it’s tempting you to get into some wilds, drive and jump! It’s not surprising that we spent a couple of hours of testing just digging the Cheetah out of the deep snow - the engine is a motor, and no one has canceled the laws of nature.
In the small glove compartment under the steering wheel you can put a spare mask, hat, and other small items.
The engine quickly responds to the gas supply and picks up from the bottom, but it is in no hurry to slow down on the straight line after you release the trigger - you need to keep this in mind and use the brakes in time, and not rely solely on engine braking. Although on steep descents this system performed very well, effectively slowing down the vehicle.
It is quite difficult to evaluate prototypes on which different components are tested and based on the test results of which the designers will still make changes to the production version. This thing fell off because the mechanics didn’t tighten it properly after yet another complete overhaul of the quad, or is it a low-quality part? Are the “gears” only now falling out due to an unfinished “comb” in the lining, or will they also frustrate the owner of the production model? For now, all we have to do is take the engineers’ word that they won’t allow any mistakes during assembly on the assembly line, and all the shortcomings we noticed will be corrected. Because “Cheetah,” with its cheerful, daring, but at the same time friendly character, met all my expectations and earned the credit of trust!

At the 63rd International Motor Show in Frankfurt Skoda Auto will present several new models and technical solutions, but the key premiere will be the debut of the new Superb Combi.
Skoda Superb Combi station wagon is distinguished by high comfort, exceptional space and a recognizable design. This representative of the middle class combines the characteristic family features of Skoda cars. The wide wheelbase and sweeping roofline define the vehicle's proportions, providing excellent space for passengers and luggage.

The dimensions of the new Superb Combi are 4838 mm long, 1817 mm wide and 1481 mm high. The luggage compartment volume is 633 liters, and with the rear seats down - an immense 1865 liters. For the first time, the Czech automaker offers as an additional option a new interesting part - an electric rear door. When the door is open, the trunk lid automatically retracts to the middle position, creating more space for luggage. Another smart feature of the luggage compartment is the retractable false floor, which extends further than the rear bumper when the tailgate is open, allowing large loads to be moved easily.
The new Superb Combi is the first Skoda car to now feature the KESSY electronic door lock and ignition system. A sensor built into the ignition key communicates with the control unit located in the car and opens the doors when you touch the door handle. Starting and stopping the engine can be done using a button located on the right side of the steering column.
The range of engines available for the Superb Combi mirrors the range of engines installed on the sedan - three petrol engines (1.4 TSI 92 kW, 1.8 TSI 118 kW and 3.6 FSI V6 191 kW) and two diesel engines (2 .0 TDI PD 103 kW and 2.0 TDI CR DPF 125 kW). All with direct injection, low fuel consumption and low emissions. All four-wheel drive versions of the Superb Combi are equipped with the latest generation of the Haldex clutch.
An electrically operated two-piece panoramic roof is available as an option for the Superb Combi. If the sun shines too brightly, the glass roof can be closed with a protective curtain. Another new feature is the roof-mounted shark fin antenna, which gracefully completes the roof line.

Repair and tuning
The Stealth Cheetah 800 ATV does not need much improvement. The basic configuration is enough for work and leisure, but for professional tourism it is better to take the Trophy EPS version with extended configuration. If desired, the device can be repainted and the shock absorbers replaced, but this is a matter of taste.
The situation with repairs is quite ambiguous. Cars produced in 2014-2015 were equipped with a problematic fuel system . The buyer will immediately have to replace all bushings, hoses and levers. But in the “fresh” versions of the Stealth 800 ATV there is no such problem.
Finding spare parts will also not be difficult . You can find the required part at a dealer, service center or online store.

Cheetah 800 is the result of a decision to improve the reliability and quality of equipment, and the stability of the supply of spare parts. To achieve this, the company began to move away from producing ATVs from Chinese components. ATV 800G became the second ATV under the STELS brand, completely developed and manufactured at the Zhukovsky MotoVelozavod in the Bryansk region . The development of the Cheetah ATV was carried out in the Izhevsk bureau of the STELS company .

Design
He is aggressive and cocky. Therefore, the appearance of the all-terrain vehicle makes a strong impression. The design of the car combines sporty and utilitarian styles. The utilitarian component is luggage platforms (front, 45 kg and rear, 90 kg). Small bags can be secured here without any problems. If the racks are not needed, just unscrew a few bolts and remove them. The holes formed in the plastic are closed with neat plugs. They are supplied with the ATV in the color of its body.
The adjustable backrest, designed for the passenger, is located on the rear luggage platform. The package also includes passenger legs. This suggests that the equipment is two-seater. But it would be hard to call the Stels ATV 800D a two-seater model. Most likely, this is a one and a half car. The driver is quite comfortable. Even on steep turns he will feel calm. But for the passenger there is no proper comfort. But if necessary, a passenger can be transported. The SUV is decorated with a 26-inch chassis.
