ATV "Stealth 700": review, technical specifications and photos

Stealth 700 Dinli is a budget utilitarian ATV developed by the domestic company Stels. The model was based on the obsolete ATV 700. The developers made a number of modifications: installed a more powerful engine, slightly redesigned the design, improved the control system, etc. So what will surprise the rider with the 700 Dinli?

It’s worth starting with the fact that this is not the first 700 cc car in the manufacturer’s catalog. The developer has released the following models:

  • Stealth 700 ATV. This is the basic version of the device, introduced back in 2007. Despite all the efforts of the manufacturer, the all-terrain vehicle turned out to be not the most reliable and versatile. Therefore, the developers refused to refine the model.
  • Stels 700 ATV HSUN. The manufacturer took into account the previous shortcomings and created a functional all-terrain vehicle based on the standard model. The device was equipped with a more powerful engine, automatic transmission, all-wheel drive, independent suspension and electric starter.
  • ATV 700 GT This is another variation of the standard 700 cc ATV of the Stealth brand. The model differs from its predecessor only in engine size and minor design changes.

In 2009, the Russian company introduced the Stels ATV 700 Dinli. However, the model did not perform well; users found a number of problems and design flaws in the device. But this time the domestic manufacturer decided to “work on the mistakes” and in 2011 they released the updated Dinli. The car has undergone major changes that affected the suspension, engine, vehicle components, etc. It has gotten to the point that many spare parts from old Dinlis do not fit the new models.

Specifications

An interesting feature of the 700 Dinli model is its engine, which provides dynamics and good cross-country ability. Improves the functionality of the equipment and all-wheel drive, operating in 2 and 4WD mode.

Technical characteristics of the Stealth 700 Dinli ATV:

  • Single-cylinder engine with a displacement of 694 cc. cm.
  • Liquid engine cooling system.
  • The engine power of the model is 55 hp. With.
  • Suspension: independent with two aluminum wishbones.
  • Drive with differential lock.
  • Starting system – manual starter and electric starter.
  • Ignition – electronic (CDI).
  • Maximum torque – 6000 rpm.
  • The maximum speed of the model is 110 km/h. it is almost impossible to push the maximum speed even on light off-road conditions . The device begins to shake violently and “throw” to the sides.
  • The model's gas tank capacity is 20 liters.

The Stels 700 Dinli ATV is economical; a full tank lasts approximately 170-180 km. This allows you to use the equipment for long trips: tourism, expeditions, etc.

Test drive StelsATV-700H EFI

The bestseller of our market - the budget large utility Stels 700 - has replaced the carburetor with an injector... What do you think the owner of a Land Cruiser will say, who was forced by circumstances to change... well, for example, to a UAZ? And don’t go to a fortune teller, you’ll hear a lot of unprintable speech.

Although the UAZ itself, especially considering its cost, is a more than worthy SUV. What I mean is that after branded ATVs, it’s not easy to correctly perceive budget models from Southeast Asia.

Let's start with explanatory work. We sold several different ATVs under the Stels 700 brand. The first, 700D, is the “Taiwanese” Dinly, and the second, 700N, assembled by Zhukovsky HiSUN velo. So it became an injection one. Its cost is 247 thousand rubles. and includes an unnamed winch and tow bar. However, its carburetor modification is not being discontinued from production, and it costs 13 thousand less than the new product.

ABOUT SIZES

The injection version does not show the wonders of dynamics, although it has good traction at low speeds - like a tractor slowly but surely plowing a garden. Perhaps some of the power was stolen by the 26-inch wheels (remember that the 700H has 25-inch wheels). Nevertheless, the injector has advantages over the carburetor, simply by definition: easy starting at any time of the year, fuel efficiency, and cleaner exhaust. There is one more advantage, but the inhabitants of the plains are not aware of it. When traveling in the mountains at an altitude of about two kilometers above sea level, the carburetor stops preparing the correct mixture. He simply does not know how to make corrections for rarefied air. And then it’s not a pleasure trip at all, but a struggle for every meter.

The fact that they didn’t skimp on hardware here can be felt even without measurements. For example, to swing a quadric that was about to stick to the clay, my weight was simply not enough. I might as well jump on an industrial refrigerator.

FINGER ON THE TRIGGER

In terms of its general design, this Stels is no different from a number of branded ATVs. Why, the control of all-wheel drive and differential lock is one-on-one, just like a Yamaha Grizzly. Almost everything is ok with ergonomics. Nothing interferes with landing and control, only the tight throttle trigger of an awkward shape reminded the classic phrase of the Marlboro Cowboy from the film of the same name. He told his partner: “Harley, the trigger is not a penis. You don’t have to tug it, you don’t have to stroke it, you just have to press it.” However, the quadric is not a pistol, so a constantly working finger gets tired quickly. It's a pity that the advice to change your hand is unacceptable here.

The steering wheel could be lighter. The mode selector sometimes works perfectly, and sometimes goes on temporary strike for no apparent reason. True, this is typical for all “Chinese”. Pendants are definitely present, but refined natures will not enjoy their work. The same statement is true for brakes.

“Well, what broke during the test?” – my ATV friends asked me. Nothing but the ignition key, knocked off by a colleague wearing a heavy motorcycle boot, and... a torn cord from the manual starter. Yes, yes, this is the rare case when a fuel-injected ATV has a backup manual starter. Of course, everyone wanted to check how realistic it was to start such a large motor manually. It turned out to be not so easy to do, but the unfortunate lace definitely withstood a couple of hundred jerks in total.

Tourism is the correct purpose of this ATV. Of course, it is possible to do a trophy raid, but for this you will have to modify some things. For example, to improve the protection of the variator belt, otherwise during the test we flooded it in a not at all extreme puddle. Well, you shouldn’t count on a standard winch as your last chance. It pulls with dignity, crunching, really. Everything is learned by comparison - everything is good, whatever you can afford. Let stock analysts do the forecasts, we will limit ourselves to retelling impressions...

WITH BODY AND FRAME

The Stels 700 UTV all-terrain vehicle with a side-by-side seating arrangement also received the same injection engine. In terms of transmission design, it is no different from the ATV 700H. There is a reduction gear in the variator and a front differential lock. A folding body is provided for economic use.

It will be pleasant to travel leisurely in it, observing the surroundings and enjoying the safety. After all, a frame made of pipes around the perimeter will protect it in case of a revolution. The main thing is that the inertial belts are fastened and there is a helmet on your head. But driving it faster than 30–40 km/h means feeling a little like a tank driver. The motor, located between the driver and passenger, breaks under the ear. And with increasing speed it begins to shake on hard bumps. However, at a price of 305 thousand rubles, which includes a winch and a tow bar, this all-terrain vehicle generally has no competitors.

Operating experience

In reviews of the Stels 700 Dinli, the owners noted the good equipment of the car and its functionality. The equipment is great for work, walking and even driving in the snow. A powerful engine and all-wheel drive allows you to overcome serious obstacles such as snow, sand, holes, etc.

However, the ATV 700 ATV still has more disadvantages:

  • Maintainability. Spare parts from Dinley 2009-2010 are not suitable for models manufactured after 2011.
  • Quality of plastic. The body of an all-terrain vehicle cracks at the slightest impact. Also, plastic is deformed at high temperatures or in frost (from -20 to -25).
  • Poor handling. When driving over rough terrain, at a speed of 40-50 km/h, the device begins to twitch and tries to throw the rider off.
  • Unfinished design. Snow, dirt and sand can get under the seat and into the air filter. A user who loves winter walks will have to regularly dry the case, change candles and filters.
  • High engine noise level. The engine literally growls and bursts, which is very annoying, especially on long trips.

It is impossible to call the Stealth 700 Dinli ATV successful. However, the developers have eliminated most of the problems in the new models. Despite the high power and double seat, this equipment is more suitable for transporting cargo and agricultural tasks.

Price Stealth atv 700

Velomotors offers a huge range of ATVs, and if you compare the prices of their cheapest representative with this model, then most likely you will think that the price is exaggerated. But in fact, the technical characteristics fully correspond to the cost of the ATV. If you compare it with original branded models, Stels 700 Dinli even has a reduced price.

At the start of production, the cost of such a model was about 249,000 rubles. At the moment, taking into account the new exchange rate, the new price is approximately 290,000 rubles.

Unfortunately, not everyone can afford expensive and powerful models, so look at the review of another Chinese ATV, Avantis Hunter 250.

Comparison with competitors

Despite all the shortcomings of the Stels 700 Dinli ATV, the device is in good demand. Many riders are captivated by the powerful engine, design and equipment. Low cost also plays a role. An all-terrain vehicle produced in 2011 will cost the buyer 270 thousand rubles.

The main competitor of the model was:

  • Russian Mechanics RM 650-2. Domestic ATV with a 622 cc engine. cm is superior to Stealth in almost everything. Despite the fact that the power of the PM 650-2 is only 42.5 hp. s, the car wins in cross-country ability, reliability and versatility. But the brainchild of the Russian Mechanics company is more expensive than Dinli; the new RM will cost 400 thousand rubles.
  • ATV 600 Leopard. The position of Dinli and another device of the Stels company was seriously shaken. The Leopard is slightly inferior to its brother in power, but wins in terms of handling, equipment and durability. The cost of the new Leopard is 400 thousand rubles.
  • The Stels 500 GT ATV is another competitor within the Stealth line. A device with a 500 cc engine costs about 290 thousand rubles.
  • CFmoto X An excellent alternative to the Dingli ATV will be the Chinese all-terrain vehicle CFmoto with a 600 cc engine. This is a great car for work, tourism, active recreation and just walking.

In fact, the only advantage of the Dinli 700 model is its affordable price.

ATV Stels 700 H reviews.

Hello to all quadromaniacs from Stels, Arctic Cat, Yamaha and other companies from the capital of Siberia, Tobolsk! I myself have a 700D, but it doesn’t matter - D or H or some other crap. The only thing that matters is operating experience. I have driven about 2,500 km on my tractor, I ride both just for sport and fishing, picking mushrooms and berries. But I haven’t read the site for a long time, and then I sat down and looked through all the reviews about winter operation, and about cross-country ability, and about variator belts, in short about everything, so by adding your personal experience, you can make a small point-by-point breakdown. So: 1. I verified how the quad starts in cold weather on my tractor. In short, almost nothing. And in general, the winter exploitation of the quad, or rather its brutal rape in the crudest form, is not for me and without me. For winter I have an Arctic Cat snowmobile. Anyone who has compared at least once understands that comparison is pointless, a quad versus a snowflake is a complete zero. And by the way, dear oxotniki85, you didn’t confuse the snow with bird’s down, so that the depth is 35 cm by 26 cm of clearance in the lungs - this is complete nonsense! 2. Now you, dear Lovac, maybe in the Pskov region the fields and fresh plowing look like a good football field, and the forests are a recreation park in a forested area with alleys rolled into asphalt, then the beast goes anywhere (why not go ), only bad luck - there are not many forests around Tobolsk and you can’t even walk on foot, the windfalls are such that you’ll break your legs, even if you’re on wheels. Well, the logging roads and technological roads along the pipeline (oil and gas) are so broken that the tracks are waist-deep in places, and in most cases there is no bottom on these roads at all in the summer - you know, swamps! So the only option for moving along the manes is if there are clearings on them without stumps and trees abandoned right there. Or along the pipe along a ladder, if there is one. 3. But strangely enough, two adult men with a full set of luggage are rushing through the entire moss swamp, and the bastard does not fall through. The only thing is that through the rut (this is where everything shakes under your feet) you need to drive empty, not an ATV for the sake of your own life (and the life of a comrade too). So last year I went there for blueberries, cranberries, and mushrooms, where UAZs and Padzherikis just rest. 4. By the way, despite its all-terrain wheels, it holds up well to asphalt and generally hard ground, of course not a passenger car, but it can do 90-95 km/h, it’s just worth the noise. 5. There are a lot of arguments about the variator belt here and everyone is different: some for one ride, some for 500 km, some for 1000. I responsibly declare that if you drive wisely, don’t go extreme, and use a lowering gear and a winch while you’re at it, then you can know about the existence of a belt don't remember. By the way, on my snowmobile I would fly into the trash at full speed for 2500 km, but this was after I once set it on fire, burying the snowmobile chest-deep in a snowdrift in the bushes. 6. About childhood diseases. Of course, Stels (any kind), not Arctic Cat, so my tractor is no exception and the entire first season was filled with selfless struggle against them. Either the battery terminal unscrews, or the tip of the spark plug comes off, and according to the law of meanness, all this is either in the middle of a 200 m long puddle with 20 cm of thick clay at the bottom, or simply far from civilization. But the climax of the setup was the spontaneous unscrewing of the candle (by half) during a fishing trip on the first ice. Not immediately understanding what was going on, I got there, burning almost all the gasoline (100 km from home, by the way), but the tractor was brought back on a handcar. Fortunately the railway The director of the route, a good friend, was also nearby. Here is an explanation for the first point of my story. 7. Conclusion! The tractor for its 300 rubles is very good, I think that both the 700H and other Stels for the money they ask for are very worthy competitors to imported analogues for 500-700 rubles. Besides, apart from the little things, nothing seriously breaks down, the engine and gearbox are simply amazing, the chassis in terms of travel is also up to par and strong. And having overcome childhood diseases, or preventing their occurrence at the initial level of operation, you can drive throughout the warm season. Well, with the ground freezing and snow falling, welcome to the snowmobile!

With respect to all quad maniacs! Koltych from Tobolsk.

Repair and tuning

Users noted that there is little point in upgrading the Dinli 700. The device has too many shortcomings and eliminating them will cost a lot of money. Owners recommend installing heated handles, hand protection, replacing footrests and strengthening luggage racks. Such additions will significantly increase the operating comfort of the device.

With repairs, everything is also simple; the user can find all the necessary spare parts in specialized workshops or in online stores. But before buying, you should pay attention to the features of the part. Spare parts for 2009-2010 devices are not suitable for “fresh” models.
