Specifications

Since the bike is assembled using parts from another manufacturer, the engine is initially supplied quite elastic, and Russian developers, having reconfigured some characteristics, managed to increase traction throughout the entire speed range.

The result was an engine with the following parameters:

  • working volume - 223 cm 3;
  • number of cylinders - 1;
  • number of cycles - 4;
  • number of valves - 4;
  • power - 14 hp;
  • torque - 16.5 Nm;
  • cooling - air;
  • fuel supply - carburetor;
  • ignition - transistor;
  • start - electric starter (there is a kick starter);
  • tank volume - 10 l.

Unpretentiousness to fuel is noted . Recommended gasoline is not lower than AI-92 .

Transmission and clutch

The motorcycle has a 5-speed gearbox. The principle of operation is standard, neutral is located between first and second gears.

The main drive is a classic chain with a tensioner.

It does not create any problems or extraneous noise. It switches quite clearly. The gear ratios are chosen well - you can go 60 in fifth or 100 in first. The elastic motor allows this.

  • The clutch is standard. Multi-disc, oil bath , power transmission - cable .
  • The main drive is chain .

Brakes

This model avoided copying the Japanese. Hydraulically driven discs are installed on both wheels. 2 pistons support . No options are offered in the specification.

According to user reviews, the brakes work well both on asphalt and on light off-road conditions.

Zuum CR300 CBs are endurocross motorcycles with a 280 cm3 liquid-cooled engine producing 25 hp. The components are of high quality. The model features adjustable KKE suspension, durable rims, reinforced aluminum steering wheel, and a transparent fuel tank. Among the improvements to the new batch of samples are a 48 mm thick KKE fork and Brembo copy brakes.

Yamaha XT660Z Tenere

pros

  • suspension operation
  • power reserve
  • brakes
  • operating comfort

Minuses

  • no traction at low revs
  • 95 petrol

From 380,000 ₽

Users note the excellent ride of the Yamaha XT660Z on sand. The vibrations from the motor are not very strong. The second passenger is less comfortable than the first: he feels the shaking more strongly. The brakes work well. At speeds of 80 - 110 km/h, fuel consumption is from 3.6 to 4.5 liters. Among the shortcomings are 95 gasoline, the quality of the turn signals and weak rear legs. On rocky mountain roads you have to use the clutch more actively.

KTM 990 Adventure

pros

  • comfortable
  • picks up speed well

Minuses

  • the weight and sharpness take some getting used to
  • The steering wheel is a bit low
  • heavy

From 420,000 ₽

The test drive of the KTM 990 Adventure shows 900 km in 13 hours as the maximum mileage per day. The motorcycle picks up speed well from any position. Strong crosswinds can interfere with driving comfort. The KTM 990 Adventure can’t cope with riding in mud: the heavy steering wheel begins to twist. The model is equipped with excellent protection: even if it falls off-road, safety bars save you. Maximum fuel consumption per day is 8 liters. The 112 horsepower engine operates in a specific way and vibrates a lot, but you can get used to it.

Choosing the best Chinese enduro is not difficult. In recent years, China's technology has advanced, and decent equipment is being produced. Moreover, high-quality does not mean the most expensive.

Fuel consumption

Fuel consumption according to the developers is 2.5 liters per 100.

The owners specify that this is when driving on a flat country highway. Driving to the side of the road, a forest path or into the urban jungle increases consumption to 3–4 liters . It is recommended to match the figures of 3.5 liters .

The curb weight of the bike is 134 kg . If you do not take into account the full tank and all process fluids, the dry weight is 120 kg .

It’s interesting that Russian marketers also indicate the total weight - 284 kg .

The difference of 150 kg (284 kg minus 134 kg) in documents from other manufacturers is indicated as payload.

Design

Apparently, all the designers were suddenly fired just when the question of the appearance for this motorcycle arose. Because, in principle, it has no design - it was simply molded from whatever came to hand. Take a look at the photo - the result is a 100% faceless device, instantly lost among its own kind, not standing out at all. But this is enduro! His task is to overcome off-road conditions , and not to show off in front of the audience.

Dimensions

In terms of dimensions, the motorcycle does not stand out much among its classmates. He has:

  • in length - 2,071 mm;
  • width - 841 mm;
  • in height - 1,191 mm;

Seat height - 720 mm .

Wheelbase - 1,375 mm .

The mid-travel fork and 17-inch wheels allow the saddle to be quite low - 770 mm - so it is also suitable for short riders.
But it’s better to forget about annealing: a significant weight (145 kg) combined with low power (17 hp) suggests a moderately dynamic driving style. However, this motorcycle is from an experimental batch. The chassis allows you to install a more powerful engine. However, this motorcycle is from an experimental batch. The chassis allows you to install a more powerful engine.

The suspension allows this “Eagle” to proudly soar above the entire Chinese motorcycle industry: an inverted fork, with protection, and, moreover, quite functional. It seemed a little harsh to me: small irregularities are transmitted to the hands, although it copes with large holes with dignity. It’s a pity that there are no adjustments to complete the compliment. The stated stroke is 165 mm, but judging by the traces of erased dirt, it does not exceed 140–145 mm. But the monoshock absorber, on the contrary, is a bit soft. But this is fixable: the rigidity can be adjusted with a screw for the slot, and you can also pump up (or bleed) air. The frame is quite rigid: the motorcycle does not wobble on uneven corners. Tires of truly Motard size from the large Taiwanese company Duro, one of the industry leaders. But the brakes are “just there”: simple single-disc, but they cope with the responsibilities.

The mid-travel fork and 17-inch wheels made it possible to make the saddle low enough (770 mm), so that both the driver and the passenger can easily fit on the motorcycle. The length of the saddle is average (600 mm before bending onto the tank). There are large steel handles on the sides, which are convenient for the passenger to hold on to, but the footrests provided for him are scanty.

The clutch pressure sensor allows you to start the engine when the gear is engaged; There is a blockage from the side stop sensor. On the instrument panel there is a clearly readable gear indicator (from 1 to 5). The rotary design enrichment is located on the left steering wheel handle. The original “stop engine” is in the form of a rotating petal. But there is no kick - in its place is a water pump. So the owners will have to pray for the reliability of Chinese electrics. There was no room on the motard for a tool and a small shmurdyak. At first I didn’t believe it - I removed the saddle, for which I had to first unscrew two screws, remove the left trim, and then use a hex key to unscrew the screws securing the saddle. There is no room there, and that’s it!

For whom is it intended?

A 165 cm tall biker feels quite comfortable on this motorcycle.

The question in the title is a fairly frequent subject of discussion on various resources. On the one hand, a low saddle makes for a comfortable ride for a short rider . On the other hand, a fairly high ground clearance (this is an enduro after all) is chosen mainly by bikers whose height is above average .

However, according to user reviews, a narrowed saddle is only suitable for short distance trips. Traveling far is “inconvenient.”

The double saddle is designed to seat two people.

Peculiarities

Despite the positioning of the motorcycle as a SOFT-enduro, it received:

  1. all optics are LED;
  2. electronic instrument panel

The instrument panel consists of an electronic tachometer, speedometer and odometer. The fuel gauge is a pointer, with indicator lights. The ignition switch is located below as a separate unit.

Competitors and modifications

The main competitor of the model is Lifan LF200-GY5.

The new model entered the market simultaneously with the Lifan LF200-GY5, assembled by the same ZiD. Many users tried to compare both versions, but in order not to write for too long, you can give the factory’s opinion:

Lifan is a good model and will probably even cost less. But, even if you don’t take into account the difference in engine volume, this is still a bike for one rider.

When developing the ZiD, we tried to take this into account - and we ended up with a good, high-quality motorcycle for two . Long-travel suspension, good dynamics, and tenacious brakes can be very sensitive for one biker. But when traveling together, everything will fall into place.

Being, in fact, a modification of the Chinese Yinxiang - ZiD did not receive its modifications.

Similar models

  • Minsk x250. A tenacious Chinese-Belarusian enduro with an interesting design.
  • Irbis XR 250. A model that has been proven over the years and has proven itself well on the Russian market.
  • Motoland Enduro 250 EX. A good alternative to all of the above options, inexpensive and of good quality.

Flaws

The overall impression of the bike is positive and well worth the money paid for it.

In general, users do not find any major shortcomings. But there are some that are unique to the YX250GY C5C:

  • Candles . Due to the non-standard thread, you need to buy only original ones. And they may not be available in Kovrov (the location of the plant is Kovrov, Vladimir region, there is a company store at the plant).
  • Wide steering wheel . According to user reviews, the regular one is not convenient either in the city or outside it. Some “masters” cut off 5 cm along the edges, but this does not completely solve the problem. It can no longer be removed - the pipe is bent.
  • Lack of components . Actually, it’s not always possible to find one for the original Lifan either. But for this ZiD model this is a real problem. The motorcycle is relatively new, everything will get better soon.

Some users note that the latter drawback is not a minus, if you take care of the bike and carry out maintenance on time, even parts installed from the factory will last an order of magnitude longer than the Lifan.

and dignity

At the same time, the motorcycle has more advantages:

  • Price . A distinctive feature of all ZiD models is their affordable price. And the YX250GY C5C supports this rule.
  • Pendant . A well-calculated spring length will allow you to drive even through the forest at a speed of 60 km/h . At the same speed, you can fly onto curbs or speed bumps without fear of damaging the plastic.
  • Handling - some users note that when riding a motorcycle they lose the feeling of difficulty. It's more difficult to ride a bicycle. True, sometimes they mention that driving at a slow speed is inconvenient - but this is an advantage (or disadvantage) of the driver.
  • Lightness . Despite the fact that the ZiD is heavier than the similar Lifan, users note that if everyone is stuck in a traffic jam, it will drive like a big car. At hand.

Well, don’t forget that all equipment breaks down. Only the new one breaks less often . This is about the question of what to take - a new Russian-Chinese or a used Japanese one.

Video

The front has an independent single-link suspension with shock absorbers. In the rear part of the structure, a pendulum-type dependent suspension is used. Zid 200 Tarpan is equipped with standard wheels that provide sufficiently high traction in almost any conditions. The standard equipment includes only the most important elements, namely headlights, rear brake lights, direction indicators, and rear-view mirrors. All this makes movement safer and more comfortable. The car can also drive on public roads. In addition to these equipment, there is a towbar and mounts for the trunk. At the request of the consumer, the package can be equipped with various other elements.

Starting a gasoline engine is traditionally done using an electric starter, but starting using a kickstarter is also possible. As for convenience, the ATV has a comfortable seat, although only a single seat. There is an instrument panel behind the steering wheel. It should be noted that this element has very few indicators, namely the speedometer, odometer, as well as indicators for turning on the high/low beam and turn signals. Many consumers note that this is not enough for a long drive, since the engine may overheat or the fuel in the tank may run out at the most inopportune moment, and the driver will not know about it. Therefore, this can be considered a disadvantage, but not a big one, since with careful operation such situations may not happen.

On the steering wheel, all the necessary elements are located very ergonomically, which ensures comfortable and understandable control of the all-terrain vehicle. For added convenience, the front end was equipped with fog lights.

It is important that there is no protection for elements such as the engine, transmission and others, which is why the ATV can get very serious damage if driven carelessly or off-road, so you should always remember this

ZiD yx250gy c5c review

In 2021, the plant named after. Degtyarev mastered the production of a new dual-purpose motorcycle Yinxiang YX250GY-C5C, which replaced the previously produced Lifan LF200-GY5 motorcycle. The new YX250GY-C5C motorcycle is significantly different from the previously released LF200-GY5.

Let's start our review of the ZiD YX250GY-C5C motorcycle with the engine.

The YX250GY-C5C engine is single-cylinder, four-stroke, 223 cm3 air-cooled with forced ignition. The maximum power produced by the engine is 14 hp at 7500 rpm. It’s hard to say whether it’s a lot or a little, in any case, it’s enough to force not only light off-road and rough terrain, but also to feel comfortable in city traffic. The maximum speed according to the passport is 100 km/h, and the weight of the equipped motorcycle is only 134 kg. The engine, despite its modest characteristics, is quite high-torque and elastic. Thanks to the presence of a balancing shaft, vibrations generated by a single-cylinder engine are damped even at the moment they arise in the power unit. The gearbox works smoothly without any extraneous noise. Average consumption is approximately 3-4 liters per 100 km with a tank capacity of 11.5 liters. The range without refueling can be up to 270 km.

The ZiD YX250GY-C5C motorcycle is equipped with a front telescopic suspension coupled with a rear monoshock absorber. The suspension is quite long-travel and allows you to comfortably overcome the light off-road conditions of the Russian outback, and sometimes even take the breeze over rough terrain. The tires are a little harsh, but despite this they provide reliable grip both on dirt roads and on paved roads. The front wheel has dimensions of 80/100 with 21 radius, the rear one 110/100 with 18 radius. As we can see, the front and rear wheels have quite standard dimensions for this type of motorcycle, which means that we should not have problems selecting alternative tires.

Modern disc brakes are installed on both wheels. Which provide reliable smooth braking at any speed and environmental conditions. Whether it's an asphalt highway or dirt tracks.

A complete package of lighting technology ensures safe movement at night not only in the urban jungle, but also on forest and country roads. The motorcycle is equipped with a very convenient electronic instrument panel, which includes an electronic tachometer, speedometer, daily and total mileage counter, turn signal indicators, high beam headlights. In addition, the panel contains a neutral indicator, as well as a gear engaged indicator. The fuel gauge is a rare indicator for motorcycles of this type, but here it is! The sensor works quite accurately and does not cause any complaints.

Overall the motorcycle made a positive impression. The ZiD YX250GY-C5C pleased us with its comfortable fit, soft ride, good ergonomics, modest fuel consumption of 92 marks, availability of spare parts and their availability on the chMoto.ru website.

I think he will become a reliable assistant and faithful friend on any trip, be it a trip to the sea, to the forest for mushrooms or fishing. ZiD YX250GY-C5C will give pleasant and bright emotions!

Owner reviews

An extremely primitive motor, but tenacious and trouble-free. When driving for a long time through mud, it may begin to heat up, especially if the cylinder fins are covered, but this rarely happens, and you can only miss the moment of overheating due to your own stupidity, since it begins to fry brutally. The carburetor is from the times of Mao Zedong, even without a pump, everything just flows by gravity - it needs to be adjusted immediately after purchase, since initially it lives its own life and does what it wants. In general, it needs to be brought to mind, but for such a price everything is fine. Dmitry, Ussuriysk.

The device as a whole is normal, but damp and unfinished. The rear brake mechanism is generally poor, the pads do not grip the disc with the entire available area, and there are many such minor defects. The rear wing rattles and dangles so much that I'm afraid it will fly off sooner or later. The fuel gauge is lying on the big side, showing the maximum when you can easily pour another three liters into the tank. The suspension is tolerable, but it is better to pour harder oil into the fork, or put spacers under the springs, otherwise it may break through in the pits. The paint is weak, it scratches instantly, I think it will easily peel off and become covered with scuffs over the course of a season, judging by the quality. Anton, Severouralsk.

The motorcycle is definitely not for asphalt; in fifth gear, already at 5000 rpm, roars and vibrations begin, and the speed is no higher than 70 mph. On the ground it’s a completely different matter; you don’t have to be afraid of dead graders and forest paths, and you can safely drive through the mud. If you need an endurik for fun on rough terrain, then you can buy it for that kind of money. Ivan, Bataysk.

TOP 5 Chinese cross-enduro motorcycles

The article is relevant for the first half of 2021.

Previously, I already reviewed the TOP 5 Chinese cross-enduro motorcycles, but now it is not very relevant. Some manufacturers disappeared into oblivion, and new ones took their place. I've changed my mind about some motorcycles. Last time I divided enduro into “sport” enduro and dual sports. This time there is no point in this, since almost all dual-purpose motorcycles are now not sold in Russia. And the ones that remain, I’ll put here. Baltmotors, however, promise to resume sales of their dual sports and, in addition to the already well-known and quite successful BM200 and 250, which are nothing more than the renamed CHINCHI, they also promise to bring new items - touring enduro motorcycles for long-distance riders, with an aerodynamic body kit and panniers. But that won’t be so soon, but now I’ll tell you about the motorcycles available for order now......

For convenience, I will name the range of prices, since everyone asks for it. The principles of Chinese motorcycle construction have not changed; the better the components, the more expensive the enduro motorcycles themselves are. To put it simply, pay the price for shit and sticks, you get shit and sticks. And then you shouldn’t be surprised that the motorcycle you bought for half a ton begins to fall apart. And so let's go......

FAQ

  • Is it assembled in China and Russia? The manufacturer does not disclose details, but usually bikes arrive in Russia almost assembled, but here only wheels, handlebars and body kit elements are installed on them, which are dismantled before transportation.
  • Is it possible to find spare parts and tuning in China for this model? Yes, the hero of our article is a purebred “Chinese”, so Chinese online stores have parts for him.
  • How about the compatibility of parts? He's doing well with this. Many spare parts are suitable from similar models of Racer, Irbis and other Chinese motorcycle manufacturers.

Place 3.5 at a price from 105 to 130 thousand rubles

These bikes are stuck somewhere between classes. They are similar to the motos from 4th place, but differ in more powerful engines. They don’t reach 3rd place due to the configuration. Such motorcycles include the Racer RC300-GY8A Enduro 300. An excellent 300 cc engine, air-oil cooling, but savings on things like handlebars, rims and hubs. On a par with it are Avantis FX and FX Lux, with “fashionable” 172FMM engines. The engine is excellent, but as in the Racer, total savings on everything. In the first batches, even the chain was installed at 428 (.). Later they came to their senses and started installing 520. And at the end of 2021, the GR2 Pro burst into the company, with the same 172 engine. Unlike its counterparts described above, GR2 is smaller in size. Among the shortcomings, a very strange solution for the air filter.

The power of the four-stroke engine is only 17 hp.
Not much by modern standards. But there is plenty of cooling reserve, especially since the system is liquid. But there is also a minus - the water pump took the place of the kick. 1st place... Price from 230 to almost 300 fucking thousand rubles

ASIAWING has essentially abandoned us; you either can’t buy it, or you can, but for some inadequate money. In general, we don’t count it. But we consider the injection Avantis 250 and 300 PRO, as well as the carb 450 Pro. Moreover, for me, for enduro, the 300 is more interesting than the 450. Firstly, the injector. Secondly, although the 300 is weaker, it is also noticeably lighter. Speaking of 450s, it’s worth mentioning the BSE M8 - not a bad representative in its class... Also excellent representatives of this category are the BSE RTC-300, ZUUM CR300NC, CX300NC, which we tested not so long ago in the Crimea, as well as the top ZUUM CX300R and the latest ZUUM DX450. To their company we add the slightly atypical GR7 2T for the class in the OPTIMUM and MX Race configuration, as well as the new GR8, which, by and large, differs from the GR7 only in appearance. The motor is a licensed copy of the excellent engine from Yamaha dt230 Lanza. Good suspension and excellent brakes, but as they say, there are some nuances... You can read a detailed REPORT after a year of operation

The pendulum is pleasing to the eye - aluminum, and polished at that.
But the frame remained steel and heavy. The rear brake is a single disc, single piston. A design long ago worked out by the Japanese on motards and enduros.
