The Stels Trigger 50SM looks like a real motard bike, which it is. Moreover, it does not seem small or “toy-like”. The modest dimensions of the motorcycle are cleverly played up by the designers, and it looks completely “grown-up”. Predatorily raised wings, an almost flat seat, a hard, fashionable modern headlight - everything is in accordance with current fashion requirements. And no cheap “Chinese stuff” for which many motorcycles from the Middle Kingdom are famous! Stealth Trigger 50 looks very good. This also fully applies to the enduro version.

Specifications

Stealth Trigger 125 motorcycle and a less powerful version are equipped with a four-stroke engine with one cylinder. Depending on the specific model, the cylinders vary slightly in size. By the way, it is worth mentioning fuel consumption, which is pleasantly surprising. A trigger with a 125 cm3 engine consumes 2.5-3 l/100 km in moderate mode, which is a good result for a motorcycle of this class. Accordingly, in more active driving mode, the equipment will consume approximately 5-6 liters. As for the fuel consumption of the Stealth Trigger 50 , it is of course less, but not much.

I was also pleased with the fact that a liquid cooling system was already installed on the motorcycle from the factory. This allows the motorcyclist to stop less often off-road to cool the engine. You can drive along the highway without stopping even longer, since in addition to factory cooling, the engine is blown by oncoming wind currents. The motorcycle can be started using an electric starter located on the handlebars or using a kickstarter.

The technical characteristics of Stels Trigger 50 X and SM do not have stars in the sky, but they are able to satisfy the needs of any beginner.

Engine


The Stels Trigger 2-stroke liquid-cooled power unit produces 5 hp. , which is several times more than the typical figures for a similar volume in most other models. The power is enough for Stels Trigger X to quickly rush forward if the owner carelessly releases the clutch. At high speeds, the agility becomes less, but the bike is still capable of reaching the maximum speed declared by the manufacturer of 90 km/h .

Transmission

The Chinese who developed the Stealth Trigger 50 collaborated with the Austrian company Generic in the process of creating the model. It was the Austrians who created the engine and gearbox , so the bike received a 6-speed transmission . Overall a normal bike, but it’s a bit heavy for such a motor, and acceleration is sluggish. It behaves well at speed, there are no vibrations, after 50 km/h there is even a reserve for overtaking on the handle. At this price IMHO there is no point in buying it. It all looks quite interesting, injector, 15 hp, except that the weight seems to me too big for its volume, but this is rather nit-picking. By the way, its consumption is also more than pleasant, 7.5 liters of 92 gasoline was enough for me for three days, with the condition that I drove around the city every day, and sometimes not only. Of course, few people will be surprised by such low consumption at such a cubic capacity, but it’s still nice.

The design is also worth mentioning; of course, this is purely individual, but it is pleasant. I was often asked if it was a Husqvarna (mine didn’t have any stickers, so it was difficult to understand what kind of motorcycle it was), and when they found out about its Chinese origin, they were very surprised.

This all sounds generally good, right? But as you already understand, it cannot do without minuses, and in my opinion there are significant minuses. Let's start small, first and foremost we will condemn the official. a dealer who, as always, treats his client as if the client owes them. I will give an example so as not to be unfounded. It so happened that one evening I decided to go not like everyone else, along the road forward, but in a very interesting and original way - forward but to the curb. As a result, the wheel shattered into pieces. Then I didn’t yet know what kind of epic it would be and didn’t attach much importance to it. Having called the well-known STELSMOTO in Volokolamsk and described the situation and asked if there was a front rim and preferably with tires, I heard a rather strange question in response, they asked me to name the sizes of the rim and tires. Surprised, I went to their website and called it and heard that they don’t carry this, you can’t order it, when the delivery will be (Will it be?) they don’t know. I started asking if the wheels from Trigger 50 would suit me and if they could measure it so that I could come and take it if the result was positive, they told me that they were not obligated to do this and just hung up. Calls to other places that sell motorcycles and mopeds under the STELS brand had approximately the same result. What is the result? I had to install Trigger 50 wheels with toothy tires (luckily there was a place where they measured the wheel for me, compared it and said it would fit), they didn’t have any others in stock either. It’s larger in diameter than the original one, well, that’s okay, the main thing is that it fits. This was probably the longest and most tedious search for spare parts in the last two years.

What else happened? Falling off the step and losing one hand protection (?) Or what is it for, maybe from flying dirt? Maybe. In general, this black thing that you can see in the photo is attached to the steering wheel. In general, she shattered into pieces, but oh well, it’s okay, he didn’t get any worse off without her. Somewhere after 1,500 miles, the rear shock absorber leaked, which upset me because I no longer wanted to communicate, see, hear, or think about the fact that I would have to call the dealer. But it flowed, but still 4 thousand. drove and was sold in this condition, I didn’t hide anything and warned that I don’t know if they have shock absorbers and that I might have to pick up something that is not original. It is also worth mentioning that the engine is so rare that it is probably impossible to find analogues, but does the dealer still have a huge question with a most likely sad answer. So if something happens, you will also have to change the entire engine or spend long sleepless nights looking for something that suits you.

The assembly, as always, is lame, you have to tighten it up after purchase. But this is as always with the Chinese of our assembly, so everything is fine. The very quality of metal, plastic and, in general, all spare parts is pleasing, although at this price this is also not surprising.

There were, of course, other bugs, small and insignificant, the main thing has already been said and summing up I can say that despite the fact that the motorcycle is quite interesting for its volume, it was even made well, but most likely it will turn out to be disposable, until it breaks, because you can find it on Its parts are difficult, very difficult. Whether you need this, decide for yourself. I would not have taken this if it had been possible or if I had known about everything in advance before purchasing.
