SUVs "Tiksi 250": owner reviews, technical specifications

The manufacturer Russian Mechanics specializes in the mass production of various utilitarian equipment, some models of which are in no way inferior, both in terms of quality and in terms of cross-country ability and maneuverability. In 2009, the new TIKSY 250 snowmobile was first released, and in 2014, the manufacturer created a modified version of it, known as the TIKSY 250 LUX. This vehicle is designed for only one passenger and is capable of transporting cargo weighing up to 150 kilograms. A gasoline engine with a displacement of 0.249 liters is installed, which, with a total weight of the snowmobile of 180 kilograms, is quite enough for all necessary tasks. It is also worth noting that with a fairly low weight, the model has significantly increased cross-country ability compared to the previous Taiga snowmobile.

The modified version of TIKSY 250 LUX differs slightly from the basic snowmobile, namely, heated steering handles and gas trigger, as well as an electric starter, were added to the basic package.

This machine is very easy to operate, so both children and adults can operate it. The car is especially popular among hunters and fishermen, as it has all the necessary qualities for this.

Modernization and perfection

The new model attracts attention with its global modernization, and customers immediately liked the lightweight utility vehicle. Even externally, this vehicle inspires respect. Reviews say that the dimensions of the snowmobile are very small, and at first you won’t even think that this is a powerful and reliable Tiksi 250 snowmobile. Owner reviews note that this is only a first impression. At first it’s hard to believe that this model is able to overcome loose and deep snow, but in reality everything turns out to be cool: a well-thought-out track design and an excellent engine do their job reliably!

Owner reviews

  • Last year I bought a second generation Tiksi 250. Externally interesting, somewhat similar to a discount store. I immediately decided to test its cross-country ability and endurance in harsh northern conditions. After Buran, the impressions are extremely positive, the suspension is soft, turns effortlessly, and is comfortable. I also went to Daljak, but I don’t recommend doing it alone. I drove 80 kilometers and my rings fell off, and the house was 50 km from the place of the breakdown, fortunately I was with friends, they towed me. I replaced the rings and I'm flying again. The only negative is that at high speed you can fly off the snowmobile due to the width of the gooseneck. Overall I'm happy and will continue to travel.
  • My Tiksi was made in December 2012. The only weak point is that it came loose, but I solved this problem in an hour, tightened all the nuts... Who wants to ride a new snowmobile and not spend a lot of money, the option is just what you need, it’s noisy, but that’s the problem with all two-stroke engines.
  • In use for the third season, I'm happy with it. Have but. I've already replaced three cords, they're breaking like I don't know why. The muffler fastening is rather weak. I don't really like the carburetor. The revolutions jumped, and after adjustment it generally became worse to start and stalled at idle, but overall I’m happy. I took it with the intention of riding as a reconnaissance vehicle, I go first in places where ordinary utility people will sit down and it’s much easier to get me out.

The main thing is saving!

Manufacturers sought to create a budget SUV, and this is noticeable: the starter in the model is manual, there is no battery, the dashboard consists only of an analog speedometer, and the gearbox is single-speed, without reverse gear, and there is no steering wheel heating system. However, if you consider that this is a budget model, the Tiksi 250 snowmobile is very powerful. Reviews from owners emphasize that for just 180,000 rubles you can buy a high-quality SUV that can confidently cope with any surface.

Taiga

Was Tungus ahead of its time? However, the most ambitious development of Russian Mechanics is Tungus, a fifth-generation machine (as it is called by analogy with the aircraft technology dominant at NPO Saturn, which includes RM). Several prototypes have now been built. They paraded at the cross-country skiing World Cup in Demino, Yaroslavl region, in the winter of 2009. Well, the European debut took place at the prestigious specialized exhibition of alpine technologies INTERALPIN-2009 at the end of April in Innsbruck. By the way, all the world's snowmobile manufacturers took part in the Austrian show, and the appearance of the Russian company led foreign manufacturers, if not into shock, then into confusion. And there was a reason: a car with an unusual design is equipped with one of the most modern four-stroke engines, not inferior in its parameters to such a leader as Polaris. The supplier of the unit is Weber. The Tungus's two-cylinder 850 cc fuel-injected engine produces an impressive 80 hp. The cooling system is dual-circuit: in addition to the commonly used snow heat exchangers, an air radiator with an electric fan is installed under the hood. This eliminates all cooling problems when driving on ice or dense snow and when towing heavy sleds at low speeds. Or, conversely, when realizing the power of the entire “herd” - moving at speeds of up to 160 km/h.

Main characteristics

The Tiksy 250 is a snowmobile that offers excellent functionality, simplicity and economy at an affordable price. Yes, the model is simple in terms of design and equipment, but these characteristics are quite sufficient for everyday use of the vehicle. In addition, the model is distinguished by a catchy design, bright colors, the use of modern materials in production, long-travel suspension, plastic skis and electronic reverse. All these characteristics make the Tiksi 250 snowmobile quite popular. Reviews from owners about it often mention that despite its apparent simplicity, this is a fairly advanced model.

Among the features of its technical equipment, one can note the modernized rear suspension, thanks to which the center of gravity is reduced. This makes the snowmobile more stable and controllable, providing a high level of energy efficiency. Those who plan to use this SUV to transport some things will like the ability to attach a sled to a snowmobile and transport up to 150 kg of cargo. It is no coincidence that Tiksi 250 is used for economic purposes.

The 4T two-cylinder engine is mounted transversely, in front of it is a radiator, cooled by counter flow and an electric fan.

However, the differences between “Ataka II” and other “Taiga” snowmobiles do not end with the modernization of the tidy. The front linkage suspension has been improved - the curved shape of its arms increases the travel of the skis, and therefore comfort. The levers are secured through silent blocks, which smoothes out the shocks transmitted to the snowmobile body. The increased ski track significantly improved the stability of the snowmobile at high speeds and made it easier to maneuver. For ease of landing, footrests are installed on the floor. The expression of the plastic “face” has become more aggressive. And finally, “Attack II” received a liquid-cooled RMZ-551 engine with a thermostat and snow radiators. The pistons and crankshaft are protected by an anti-friction coating, the tuned intake system is with check plate valves and a receiver, and five-channel cylinder purging is used. The engine is equipped with a microprocessor ignition system with programming capabilities, and the drive units are driven by a transverse shaft.

Equipment

  1. The model has a PM3 250 engine with one cylinder and a power of 22 hp. p., electronic reverse, air cooling.
  2. The 380 mm wide track is complemented by a progressive suspension.
  3. The model is complemented by front and rear suspension. Thanks to it, the shock absorbers and springs became slightly different in design, and the stroke increased. The Tiksi 250 with a new suspension (the photo allows you to evaluate the power of the snowmobile) has better handling.
  4. The standard equipment includes an electric starter; in addition, a manual starter is also installed.
  5. It is impossible not to note the ease of repair thanks to the hinged sides.
  6. The model is additionally equipped with a mechanical disc brake.
  7. The new steering shaft provides reduced effort when turning the steering wheel, and special bearings reduce vibration levels and make handling more comfortable.
  8. "Tiksi 250" is equipped with a seat that is comfortable and well-thought-out ergonomics.

The company says that even a child can handle driving such a simple snowmobile.

Of course, experienced snowbikers will take for granted the electric starter, separate oil supply, heated handlebar grips and gas trigger. Optimal operation of the power unit is ensured by a programmable ignition system from Ducati Energia (this is not a motorcycle company, but simply a namesake, although also from Italy). The recent use of lightweight Canadian-made plastic skis has made it possible to reduce unsprung masses, which has a better effect on the handling of the snowmobile. The gas tank volume has been increased to 50 liters, new dual headlights have been installed (instead of one) and an LED rear light is bright, vibration-resistant and durable. At the customer's request, snowmobiles of the “taiga” family can be equipped with: hydraulic brakes, LCD instrument panel, KOSO temperature sensor, rear-view mirrors.

What do the tests show?

Testing of snowmobiles occurs constantly, and the Russian-made model is no exception. How did he perform on the road? The following conclusions can be drawn:

  1. The tests were carried out in comparison with SUVs of other brands, and the Tiksi 250 snowmobile was the best even on bumps and sharp turns. The technical characteristics of the model allow it to be among the best even despite such a low cost.
  2. "Tiksi" demonstrated the highest speed.
  3. Drivers note that a well-thought-out steering wheel combined with a comfortable seating position is the most worthy combination in this vehicle. The steering wheel is high and the seat is ergonomic, so you can sit upright in the SUV and not experience any discomfort.
  4. Reviews of the Tiksi 250 also mentioned the main advantage of any utility vehicle - a luggage platform, complemented by handrails and a tow hitch. This device allows you to conveniently tow cargo. The platform is included with the model.
  5. On a long road, Tiksy is clearly lagging behind: the maximum speed that the snowmobile showed stopped at 60 km/h.
  6. During the tests, experts came to the conclusion: thanks to the combination of low weight with a lever suspension and a narrow track, Tiksy claims to move from the category of utilitarian to the category of sports.
  7. On a road made of slush and water, the Tiksi 250 is not very reliable. Reviews and advice from users boil down to the fact that the power of this model to overcome such difficult coatings is still not enough. But if you try to get it out of the rut with strong gas, the vehicle successfully copes with this task.

Girl & snowmobile: photo diary of the owner of a budget snowmobile Tiksi

First, a little video from Irkutsk Vesti - what to do with a snowmobile in the summer - the answer: ride on the river (in this case - a distance of 20 km.)

and now the girl’s diary itself. How we got to this point :

I've wanted a snowmobile for a long time. I just love all kinds of auto technology. And it's always interesting to try something new.

Specifically, torment everyone with your whining “I want a snowmobile!” I started a year ago when I saw someone riding a snowmobile across our field. I started making arguments about how cool it was and how necessary it was. And look towards advertisements for the sale of “Buran” or “Taiga”.

This winter has finally proven to us that we still need a snowmobile! Especially in connection with the latest problem with the inability to deliver firewood.

And so, once again looking through the prices for “Taiga” and biting my lips over each price tag, I suddenly stumbled upon something I had not seen before - Tiksi. Since Tiksy 250 is a model of this season and at the beginning of December they simply weren’t available. In general, it was as if we were waiting for each other...

So, we decided on this purchase literally in one day, there was no time to think - we had to find an adequate solution to the problem with firewood by this weekend, and at the same time to all possible problems of the same kind for the future.

How did he get to us?

We unloaded in the village under the comments of Uncle Vova. A whole epic... The driver, a young guy, tried for a long time to drive it straight out of the minibus. However, the problem was not that “he couldn’t get out,” but that the driver without a hat in such cold weather apparently had his brain frozen and for a long time he could not remember how to drive this very snowmobile. And when I finally remembered and drove out, I got back into the car and forgot how to steer the car. He got stuck in a snowdrift, and when he tried (not without our help) to push him out, he drove backwards into Uncle Vova’s gate post. Fortunately, the pillar was not damaged.

Test Drive

Then I just sat down and drove off, since I once had a scooter, and the handling of a snowmobile is, in principle, not much different from a scooter.

Also, a snowmobile is no different from a scooter in the sense that it is very inconvenient to carry a passenger. All maneuverability is lost. And you crash sideways into a snowdrift much more often (however, this is exactly the difference with a scooter, since on a scooter you had to crash onto the asphalt, and this is much more painful). And today we got pretty drunk, trying to build a snowmobile path from the village to the house.

It would seem that there are only two options and both don’t work: either go alone, with less risk of getting stuck in a snowdrift, but if you get stuck, it’s hard to pull out the snowmobile alone. Or you can ride together, with a high risk of getting stuck, but it’s easier to pull out the snowmobile.

We came up with a third option - hitch the sleigh and the second person rides in the sleigh. So the “rider” still has maneuverability and assistance with him

Results

So they rolled out the path, hitched the sleigh and even transported some firewood. And we rode in the sleigh ourselves.

In general, in any case, it’s better than walking through firewood with a sled on skis...

Program for the near future:

— figure out how to start Tiksi without much effort;

— learn to maneuver normally on our off-road terrain;

— take a photo of Tiksi at work and with a sleigh;

- make a cover for him to hide;

— “rethink” the sled so that it would be convenient to carry firewood on it. There is also an idea to make something like a comfortable removable seat there - for guests to ride with increased comfort;

- still transport the firewood...

Tiksi. Day two 02/21/2010

Today it was easier to start. We're getting used to it. I simply don’t have enough strength and weight in turns to level Tiksi, balance and hold it (a step to the left, a step to the right, you don’t have time to level the steering wheel and shift the weight - and that’s it, the snowmobile bogs down). And even more so, there is not enough strength to pull the snowmobile out of the snowdrift after an unsuccessful attempt at cornering.

I really want to ride, but what the hell! It’s scary for me to ride to the village alone - there are several bad places in which I consistently fall off the track and get stuck. And just across a field where there was no road initially - it’s even more unrealistic. Checked (they pulled it out for half an hour).

Fellow jeepers! You like to dig in in five minutes and dig out all day long! Snowmobile + winter 2009/2010 - and no UAZ is needed.

In the middle of the day the wind picked up and we decided to go to the car - pick up a gas cylinder there, go to a gas station for gasoline and maybe carry some firewood. We hitched the sled... let's go... We didn't get through! Only the snowdrifts are not to blame. Or rather, they were just a hindrance, but not for us, but for three cars (including a Hummer) from the last house, crowded on the road. Yes Yes. At the end of the village there are soooooo many dunes that even a Hummer can’t get through. Although in the morning my husband calmly drove along these dunes on a snowmobile.

It was impossible to miss each other. The neighbors had to help us turn our snowmobile around and we headed back. Wait for the tractor. By the way, the tractor only arrived to clean the road in the evening... so we gave up and didn’t go anywhere else today. Alas, the matter with firewood has not progressed today...

We did it! 02/22/2010

Yes! Today we transported firewood! Denis, thank you very much for your help!

And now, in order. In the morning, as usual, performing the ritual of delivering sawdust/hay/firewood, etc. from outbuildings to the house/stable, they invented a new method, unlike yesterday’s “step-by-step strategy”.

So, “fishing”: - take a sled. We tie a long rope to them. One person stands with a sled on one “bank” of a snowdrift, the second – on the other “bank” of a snowdrift. The first, holding the end of the rope, throws the sled onto the opposite edge of the snowdrift. There, the second person loads the sled, after which the first person pulls out the “catch” by the string. Repeat if necessary.

Having caught firewood, sawdust and other necessities, we harnessed the snowmobile and went to the village. In front of the village, we safely buried ourselves in front of the parapet that the damn tractor had dug there yesterday. Somehow we dragged Tiksi through this mess and got to the car where my husband went to get gas.

We loaded the sled with gasoline, a gas cylinder, and a shovel from the car, and went to dig out the parapet. We made a normal drive and began to slowly transport firewood.

Soon Denis joined us and helped load.

Surprisingly, neither the snowmobile nor the sled got stuck (although they were clearly overloaded).

We were busy from one o'clock in the afternoon until about four to half past five, with a break for lunch. About ten runs were made.

Afterwards, Rych and I took Denis to the car, and we took a ride (just like that) to the hunting ground. We crossed the highway without any problems, but further on there was a section of paving stones and in some places the cobblestones were sensitive to the skis, despite the layer of snow. But further on the path is quite clear and comfortable for riding. Sorry it's not long enough...

We returned after dark. Tired but happy. All that remains is to survive tomorrow's day off (snow and wind are promised again).

Evening skiing 02/25/2010

Yesterday I started Tiksi myself. In comparison, pulling the generator string seems like a piece of cake. I started it up, tore off the frozen skis, dug out the sled and took the risk of going to meet my husband.

Tiksi's headlight illuminates the path very well. But the well-worn road was completely covered up, it was dark, there was a flat field in front of my eyes without any landmarks, it was unclear where to go. I drove halfway at random and buried myself.

But I discovered that if you find the snow-covered track from Tiksi, you can walk there as if on asphalt, without any skis. But take a step to the side and you fall waist-deep.

They pulled out Tiksi, I went forward as a pioneer, Roaring astride Tiksi in my footsteps. We got out to the village, and there... This is something. There were such snowdrifts that it was impossible to get through. I had to stomp for a shovel.

They just dug up the worst snowdrift, and then the snowmobile quickly crossed this section.

They returned tired, but happy: Still, the snowmobile is a cool thing!

Snowmobile navigator 03/03/2010

The snowmobile was not started for a couple of days - it was a stable plus. Now we have March frosts on schedule, so we can again meet my husband in the evening riding on Tiksi.

There’s just one problem: the field is snow-white, the ruts are constantly covered with snow. And in the evening, in the dark, it’s even more difficult to see, even despite the gorgeously illuminating headlight. Driving on the wrong track risks plunging into a snowdrift, from which I alone will not be able to get out. When the wind died down, I had to tramp to the village and back, feeling for the track (I felt like a navigator), and try to follow the tracks in the evening.

But every time before driving a snowmobile, stomping back and forth on foot, you see, is idiotic! So what should I do? There are no sticks to stick along the track for reference... And the wind will knock them down right away, they will stick into the snow, and not into the ground.

Of course, from next winter you will have to drive wider, rolling the entire road, so that if you skid you won’t miss and you won’t feel like you’re on a tram.

Eh, I'll give it a ride! 03/06/2010

We had a full snowmobiling day today.

Thanks to a couple of days with above-zero temperatures, the snow became heavier, settled slightly, and subsequent frosts formed a crust. And we decided to turn off the well-worn track into an open field. We turned it off. Holds! It was so good that we traveled all around to celebrate. We drove left and right, and built a path around our three hectares.

Afterwards we took a walk with the dogs, and in the evening Ira, his brother and his wife visited us.

We sat and ate pizza (I got twisted today and made it with shrimp), a delicious cake (thank you!), and dates and nuts from Egypt itself presented by Green (thank you!).

We had a snack and it began... The guys, it turns out, took a snowboard with them! And what do you think they rode on it across our flat field? Overall, we had a lot of fun! If anyone else is coming to us on the 8th, bring a snowboard too!

Let's go reckless! 03/07/2010

Today we tried to make sharper turns - my husband even managed to look at the speedometer and it was about 50 km/h. I didn’t care about the speedometer, because it was still a little scary. It would seem that there is nothing to crash into, there is a clear field for several kilometers around, the snow is soft, and all the same... In general, even if Tiksi can give out more, I somehow don’t want to.

Soon there will be no living space left on the field - everyone has already painted along, across and in figures of eight. One of the best shots (I don’t even know how it happened - bright, clear, and even in motion with a blurred background):

Traffic jam 03/13/2010

We took the Tiksi to the village, to my husband’s car to change the spark plugs.

We reached the village and found ourselves in a traffic jam: the village road was half cleared and the Hummer from the last house was driving through the snowdrifts. Fortunately, it's already back. They took some things into the house and handed them back back.

In the middle of the village there are a lot of cars of summer residents who have arrived for the weekend. One thing is unclear: what is the point of this? After all, despite the wonderful sunny weather, they are all sitting at home! Outside there are only locals.

We are extreme heroes 03/27/2010

We are extreme heroes. Or just crazy.

It’s +9 outside, and we harnessed Tiksi and went to get the rest of the firewood. Up to the village there is just a decent layer of melted snow, but further... further the snowmobile turns into a boat.

In general, it was fun, with splashes, in five swims, we transported firewood.

Hurray for us!

Snowmobile period 11/25/2010

Felt boots are a warm thing, but even in not very deep snow, trampling in them is very tiring. Especially if you have to stomp for about a kilometer, and then back again with a loaded sled. And all this - in a snowstorm. In general, after crawling home and having dinner, we came to the conclusion that it was time to wake up Tiksi.

And so we took off the awning, tore the skis off the frozen grass, tucked them in... And we almost tore our hands off, pulling the starter for about fifteen minutes. But they started it up and warmed it up. We hitched the sled, made a small circle - the flight was normal. True, we have to drive very slowly, because in some places the caterpillar lurches along the barely visible and frozen potholes of the road that was razed a month ago.

This morning I took my husband to the village on a snowmobile. I'll go again in the evening. It’s still a good thing that we splurged on buying a snowmobile last winter!

Grocery trip 11/27/2010

I went to the auto shop in the morning on a snowmobile. I wanted to buy lemons for the patient. Yeah, shaaazz. It seems that the range of grocery products in the village was stuck somewhere in the 80s and has not developed since then.

Do you remember the times when in a store it was enough for the salesperson to say: “I need a loaf and kefir” and no one asked again which loaf and which specific kefir? That's how it is here. Since there is only one name for each product. And more often - none. In general, I had to be content with one loaf. Yeah, the one about which people don’t ask again: “Which one do you want?”

But they offered me to exchange a snowmobile for a car with groceries. However, I did not agree. Well, why do I need so many products if this car doesn’t even reach our house?

PS The snow continues to fall!

Off-road on a snowmobile 12/06/2010

In the morning I took Rych to the car on a snowmobile - it went there and back normally.

Now I’m taxiing out in the evening - there’s snow and the track is not visible. In general, I missed and buried myself in a snowdrift. However, as it turned out later, even if she hadn’t missed, she would have buried herself anyway. Because it was in this place that the most snow accumulated and, in addition, someone (let’s not point fingers) the other day turned on the parking brake on a snowmobile and forgot to turn it off. Yes, the handbrake, as you know, is an extremely insidious thing. And not only on cars, it turns out.

My husband had to crawl across the field to us, help pull Tiksi out, then drive back to the car to pick up the dog food we had brought.

On the way back, we also slightly missed the mark at the same place, driving onto a stone ridge, but we passed. We'll go again tomorrow! We must try to find the old track and roll it out again...

On a snowmobile for water 12/08/2010

In general, the pump became capricious.

We urgently need to buy a new pump tomorrow. And today we would be left without water if not for Tiksi. If it weren't for the snowmobile, we wouldn't have gotten to the well. Well, at least back with a full barrel of water - that's for sure.

These are the adventures. You may be horrified, but we liked it. We somehow even shook ourselves up a little, otherwise there have been some “sour” things lately.

Still, sometimes, when solving such problems (such as obtaining water, food and other essential needs), you feel like... well, if not a hero, then at least just a survivor, and this is very tonic. And in general, at such moments, it’s time to reassess values. After all, as it happens, little is needed for happiness: just a barrel of water

Even more snow 12/12/2010

It snowed again all night and another half day! Again everything fell asleep (paths, ruts) as if they had not been cleaned or driven.

On a snowmobile to get gasoline 12/12/2010

The tractor did not clear the snow in the village today. Locals and summer residents pass through with great difficulty. Therefore, we went to the gas station on a snowmobile. Well, what’s there... it’s about a kilometer to the highway and another three to the gas station.

Funny sensations! Moreover, a good mood was ensured not only for us, but also for other gas station customers

Dialogue 12/16/2010

I'm leaving in the evening. I pull out of the field onto the road to the very last house. There is a car in the yard of the house. There is another car right in the middle of the road. But to say “in the middle” is not entirely correct; to put it more precisely, there is a car standing on the road, with awesome snowdrifts on the right and left, making it difficult to squeeze between the car and them even on foot.

No one came out to the sound of the snowmobile (and it should be noted that the sound was an order of magnitude louder, since the spring from the muffler broke off and it slightly jumped off from its mounting location) and the light of the headlight.

I got off the snowmobile, somehow walked around the car, and approached the house yelling: “owners!” Again no one hears. I knock on the window.

A dude (not the owner) comes out of the door. The following dialogue follows:

Me: Hello, could you move the car, otherwise I won’t get through?

Dude (peering intently into the darkness and the absence of a road behind the snowmobile): Ah... Uh... Where are you from?

Me: From the field.

Dude (making big eyes): What were you doing there???

Me (smiling idiotically): We live there, actually!

Pause, the dude’s wide-open eyes are complemented by an equally wide-open jaw. Dude: Ah... Uh... Well, I’ll call the guys now...

Then one of the “guys” climbs out and, continuously staring at the snowmobile with big eyes (but, fortunately, silently), drives the car away.

From all this I don’t understand one thing: their windows look directly onto our house. From our windows you can see the light in their house, from their windows and from the house in general you can also see the light in our house. So why be so surprised? Well, unless these are some guests invited and not warned by the owner... Who now have a topic for an evening conversation on the topic “what was that?” Well, or maybe the guys will suddenly stop drinking, if they were drinking, of course

PS And why aren’t horns installed on snowmobiles?

Sunday sun 12/19/2010

Something unimaginable happened at night: a squally wind at a temperature of -15. The stove became so hot that we couldn’t sleep from the stuffiness, but it also quickly burned out. So by 7am it was only 11 degrees in the house.

But today there was sunshine again! Brighter, but not as long. However, the dubak was still exactly the same as yesterday.

Naturally, there were snowdrifts again. Although the snow has become much heavier, so that the snowmobile can already pass anywhere in the field.

Conquering the peaks 01/03/2011

A snow slide formed on our flat, flat field. And the husband flew through it on a snowmobile:

A little forest 01/04/2011

Well, just a little forest. Just one photo. We wanted to take pictures of birds in the forest, but we couldn’t find any. But it’s somehow wrong to shoot landscapes from a TV camera. But at least we had a ride.

New Year holidays: guests 01/05/2011

We can say that today we celebrated the New Year again. Again with relatives, although this time there were much more of them: in addition to Denis and Lena, Oleg, Sveta and Matvey joined us.

We celebrated without fireworks, but with the presentation of gifts, a feast, snowmobiling, treating the Rabbit and the Dragon to carrots, playing with dogs and Skip-Bo, as well as defrosting the once again frozen hose of our unfortunate water supply.

Last day of vacation 01/10/2011

At night, a block of ice fell from the roof and cut off our electricity - it broke the cable, we had to apply stitches (with electrical tape). The roof on the veranda and in the stables partially leaked (apparently snow had accumulated under the roof and it began to actively melt). The snowmobile paddles, but moves. So, overall, nothing bad happened from this.

"Tiksy Lux"

Another affordable model from the Russian manufacturer’s line that is of undoubted interest is Tiksi Lux. This model attracts attention with its greater power, thanks to which it can cope even over long distances. An economical engine and a 28 liter tank are the main advantages of the model. The track is almost 40 cm wide, which makes it possible to choose the road less carefully than with the previous model. In general, manufacturers have invested a lot of effort in the Tiksi 250 Lux to ensure ride comfort and a high level of cross-country ability. For example, the multi-link suspension has been improved, which is complemented by an air-liquid shock absorber. The model's handles are now heated, the seat has become wider - in general, attention is paid to maximum user comfort.
