This series is called Wide Track, characterized by a high level of maneuverability, maneuverability, and speed. At the same time, the equipment does not lack the functionality of utilitarian options that guarantee the comfort typical of tourist models.

The car allows you to move comfortably through holes and potholes, which are often found in deep snow. You can travel long distances without fear of punctures in the front and rear suspension. By the way, the ability to drive long distances is facilitated by a capacious fuel tank, and the engine itself is not demanding on fuel quality. The 60 horsepower engine does not have groovy dynamics, but its potential is generally sufficient for leisurely driving. In extreme cases, you can push hard - however, this can only be done on a straight road and packed snow. Still, the suspension is tuned more for cross-country ability and comfort (due to the front levers) rather than for sporty and aggressive driving.
- Igor, Belgorod region. The Taiga Ataka 2 snowmobile is my first such device, which came in handy for hunting and fishing. All the equipment needed for these activities can be placed in a convenient trunk located under the driver's seat cushion. You can take someone with you, fortunately there is another seat for this. In terms of practicality, I really liked the car, but in terms of handling, this model is not the best option. The fact is that my son loves to ride a snowmobile. He is passionate and young at heart, and doesn’t mind having a lot of fun. So he was just upset about the dynamics of the snowmobile. But to be honest, Taiga Attack 2 didn’t impress me either - it’s heavy and clumsy, and even rolls a lot due to the wishbone front suspension. Practicality is excellent, and fuel consumption is low. I praise the car for its reliability and maintainability - this is a rarity for domestic equipment now, not like in Soviet times. After all, back then they did it, as they say, for years and centuries.

There are no serious problems, and thank you for that. Somewhere something is leaking, and somewhere it is falling off, creaking and vibrating. By the way, it is the engine and the gearbox that vibrate - these parts are the noisiest. The snowmobile develops 60 horsepower, but rides like a 50 horsepower or even weaker. There is no dynamics at all. It used to be faster and more maneuverable, but now the car has completely turned sour. It's probably time to sell. Suspension and brakes

In general, the intended system, when working correctly, is very convenient and productive, which is good news.
Engine
The Taiga Attack 2 snowmobile received a compact RMZ-551 engine with its own design features, which we will consider in more detail.
So, let's note the traditional two-cylinder layout, typical for most cars in this price range. The cylinders have an in-line arrangement, which makes the structure more compact and can be conveniently placed in limited space.
In addition, the liquid cooling system, which is complemented by two powerful radiators, deserves special attention. By the way, a similar system has successfully proven itself in the RMZ-501 power plant. The components of this cooling had to be slightly complicated in order to increase the reliability of the design, as well as the ability to withstand increased loads.
The time-tested two-stroke layout benefited the RMZ-551 power plant. And yet, there were some drawbacks here, especially compared to four-stroke engines - the engine began to consume relatively more fuel. But at the same time, it became more powerful and more economical than its predecessor RMZ-501. The combined lubrication system has also undergone modifications. The oil tank capacity is 2.5 liters.
We note the presence of a dual-combustor fuel system - this solution was beneficial from the point of view of more optimal mixture formation. For the manufacture of this component, float carburetors from the Mikuni company were used, tested in various imported models of snowmobiles. Of no small importance in order to ensure reliability and trouble-free operation is the Ducati electronically programmable ignition system, which controls the operation of the power plant regardless of load conditions. We will also add an electric starter here, which simplifies the start of the power plant. And in case of emergency problems, you can always use the manual starter.
So, with a working volume of 0.5 liters, the RMZ-551 power unit produces about 60 horsepower. The motor weight is 320, which is normal. The lightweight and compact engine made it possible to reduce the weight of the snowmobile and make it more maneuverable. As a result, it was possible to increase the maximum speed.
The engine is best optimized for gearbox settings. We are talking about a continuously variable variator with which the RMZ-551 motor is combined. The gearbox allows you to unleash the engine's full potential - thanks to the presence of several speed modes - low and high gears, as well as reverse and neutral modes. The variator ensures optimal engine operation regardless of the load - this feature has a beneficial effect on the engine's service life, unlike traditional manual transmissions.
In addition to the features of the gearbox, it is worth citing several facts regarding its operation. Practice shows that a domestic variator can cause complaints with high mileage. For example, this box is characterized by some factory defects - these are the springs and weights of the regulator, which do not correspond to the factory parameters in all copies, which indicates that the build quality is not the highest. And yet, you can prepare some parts in the gearbox yourself - this is useful if the problem manifests itself after some time (when the warranty has expired).
