"Miami Connection" (1988)

Another story to be idolized. The story is about two guys who travel from Los Angeles to New Orleans in search of a truly free America, but do not find it. The plot is familiar to many: a gang on motorcycles, a bribed force in the city, and an undercover policeman infiltrates a motorcycle club. The still young Mickey Rourke and Don Johnson play the roles of motorcycle brothers who are trying to defend the bar of a dear friend. Well, actually, who in the 90s makes films about motorcyclists who solve problems not by robbing a bank, shooting and explosions? A story about friendship seasoned with gunpowder.
“Beyond the Law” or “Chasing the Shadow”, 1993
It's the same classic story, an undercover cop becomes part of a motorcycle club where shady things happen. His task is to pass as one of his own, join the gang, find out everything about criminal transactions and not give himself away. Through the eyes of a policeman, the life of a motorcycle club is shown from the inside.
The moment of assembling the motorcycle is especially good; many people will probably associate the film for a long time with the rusty frame that is brought to the main character as the basis for the motorcycle. Who here hasn’t remembered their childhood and their first old bike?
Have you noticed what all films that are not documentaries have in common? A huge number of films are built on the idea that motorcycle clubs necessarily have a double criminal bottom; in the plots, they most often introduce “their” misplaced Cossack into the gang, and generously sprinkle the story with shooting, violence and illegal drugs.
And then we ask where society gets such a negative attitude towards motorcyclists, motorcycle clubs and people on bikes in general.
