Russian Motorcycle Federation

The Russian stage of the World Motocross Championship (FIM MXGP & MX2 Motocross World Championship) and the stage of the European Championships in Motocross (European Championships EMX 250 and EMX 300) ended in the Krasnodar region.

Beautiful weather combined with the southern beaches of the Black Sea created an unforgettable atmosphere for unpredictable racing.

For the second year in a row, the MXGP of Russia in Orlyonok was launched with an impressive opening ceremony.

The final races in the MXGP, MX2, EMX250 and EMX300 classes took place on the track of the All-Russian Children's Sports and Technical Complex (Krasnodar Territory, Tuapse District). The sports weekend was sunny and hot, as was the atmosphere of the competition. About 40,000 fans attended the race track.

More than 120

professional riders from
28
countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Italy, Indonesia, Latvia, Lithuania, Holland, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain , South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, Great Britain, USA.

Absolutely all athletes, representatives of teams and FIM YothStream noted not only the highest level of preparation and conduct of the competition, but also the unusually friendly and open atmosphere that reigned over the track - the atmosphere of a great sports festival, permeated with the emotions of the fans who watched the competition in huge numbers.

In the MXGP class, all the strongest pilots of the world series participated, this time on the starting grid: Antonio Cairoli (Italy), Jeffrey Herlings (Holland), Roman Febvre (France), Clément Desalle (Belgium), Jeremy van Hoerebeek (Belgium).

At these world-class competitions, Russia had a fairly representative composition of athletes in various classes, Vyacheslav Golovkin (MXGP), Sergey Kurashov (MX 2), but, of course, all attention was focused on our two riders - Vsevolod Brylyakov and Evgeniy Bobryshev.

All our guys tried to give their best, show the best fighting qualities, show the best aerobatics technique, but for these two athletes, the performance at the “home” stage of the World Championship was extremely important. Unfortunately, not everything worked out, sport is sport and the factor of luck is always mixed into all components of the result...

Vsevolod Brylyakov (MX2) - performed brilliantly, showed high speed and his best fighting qualities, but despite finishing 4th in the qualifying race, he was unable to fully realize his potential. In the first race at the start, the electronics (start control unit) did not work correctly and, starting at the end of the field of riders, Vsevolod showed his best qualities - a magnificent breakthrough into the group of leaders and incredible speed... He finished in 9th place in the points.

Unfortunately, the second race ended with a retirement - after a successful start, fighting in the group of leaders, Vsevolod made a mistake on landing after a jump on the 9th lap and received a serious leg injury, which forced him to stop fighting. Vsevolod Brylyakov (#18)

, according to the results in “Orlyonok” he became 15th, according to the results of the past stages he had 7th place.

Evgeny Bobryshev (MXGP) is the most titled Russian athlete in motocross at the moment, the undisputed leader, a proven and strong-willed fighter, but his motorcycle, prepared in a private team, does not give him the opportunity to fight his competitors “on equal terms”. As Evgeniy himself said, the suspension works fine and in tests we are gradually bringing it to the required level, but the engine is a problem, there is a catastrophic lack of power... Suzuki promised to provide a “factory” engine a month ago, but so far there is nothing, now they promise to bring it a week after Orlyonok, but whether it will be or not is unknown... But, despite the insufficient engine power, Evgeniy had an excellent race - he clearly rode faster than his motorcycle could, two races in an incredibly tense fight with an almost equal result in points ( 13th and 14th places) proved that Evgeniy is well prepared and can fight with his competitors “on equal terms”. Evgeny Bobryshev (#777)

, he finished 14th. In the overall standings, after six stages of the Championship, he is in 12th place.

There are 13 of our compatriots on the list of participants in the European Championship: in EMX 300 - Ignatiy Lopatin, Nikolay Kornev, Yuri Lukash, Egor Skorobogatov, in EMX 250 - Svyatoslav Pronenko, Sergey Prytov, Timur Petrashin, Ilya Ryzhikh, Stanislav Myatlin, Alexander Fedorov, Ilya Ilyukhin, Khodyrev Victor, Daniil Shashkov. Ignatiy Lopatin showed the best result among Russians

, he took seventh position.

In the European Championship, the first places were distributed as follows: EMX250

1st place – #211 LAPUCCI Nicholas (Yamaha, Italy)
EMX 300

“Today, here on the Black Sea coast, a real sports festival took place not only for motorcycle racers and motocross fans, but also for the residents of Kuban and our entire country.
For two days we watched the serious struggle of the best riders in the world. We, of course, were rooting for the Russian riders - Evgeniy Bobryshev and Vsevolod Brylyakov, competing in the MXGP and MX2 classes. The guys showed good results, but, unfortunately, they are not on the podium yet. In general, the Championship was a success. I would like to express my gratitude for the help and support in organizing and holding the competition to the Government of the Russian Federation, the Administration of the Krasnodar Territory and personally to Governor V.I. Kondratiev.
Having visited the track, he highly appreciated the level of preparation of the Championship, the atmosphere and energy that reigned on the track, and also thanked, without exception, all those who put their work, strength, nerves and emotions into the organization and almost flawless conduct of such an important competition on Russian soil.” -
