Suzuki, in turn, prepared a new SV650 (a classic naked motorcycle that was produced for ten years until 2009) and added the luxurious “cafe racer” Racer SV650X to the sales program.

In any other year, this model would have been number 1. KTM Max Hazan received more exposure on the Internet and social networks than any other major and well-known designer. It has become lighter thanks to a new battery (weighing 2.3 kilograms) and, according to Honda representatives, copes even better with the difficulties of real off-road conditions.
For the 2021 model year, the top-of-the-line version of the Africa Twin is available, the CRF1000L Adventure SPORTS. It has a higher seat position, higher ground clearance, longer suspension travel and heated control grips as standard. The tank holds 24.2 liters instead of the previous 18.8 liters of gasoline.
Additionally, Honda is offering a luxury tourer that is 50 kilograms lighter than the previous Goldwing. The changes made during the work can be called profound: the model has changed visually and technically by 2021. The 126-horsepower six-cylinder engine should easily cope with the Goldwing’s 383 kilograms of maximum “live weight.”
The motocross theme was also developed by Honda in the new year. The CRF 250R received a 5 percent increase in power and a reduction in weight. The standing start will be more intense, which means fractions of seconds and meters won at the beginning of the race. As you know, cross-country races are won in the first meters after the start, so Honda has prepared a great gift for athletes!
Small improvement, big progress: the CRF 450R gets electric start as standard!
The main premiere of “Motobike 2018” is, of course, the new generation of Honda Gold Wing. For several decades now, the Japanese legend has rightfully been considered the most comfortable motorcycle. But with the new generation, Gold Wing again sets new heights for its competitors.
The new Honda GL1800 Goldwing is not a modernization of the old Goldwing, but a completely new motorcycle. New everywhere. New engine, new frame. All new. Only the spirit of this motorcycle and the 6-cylinder boxer engine with a displacement of 1800 cm3 remained unchanged.
The new Golda has lost 45 kg and is already 10 centimeters taller on her handlebars. Became shorter by 17 cm.
The new 1833 cm3 engine does not intimidate with a power of 126 horses, but pleases with a torque of 170 Nm with a peak at 4500 rpm. The number of cylinders has been preserved - 6, and their arrangement is opposed. But the engine has become smaller and lighter by 6.2 kg. The cylinder diameter became equal to the stroke, so this engine is a classic “square” 73 by 73 mm. The cylinders have become closer to each other, which of course is not very good, since the walls and channels have become smaller.
The electronic brains of the motorcycle control are equipped with 4 scenarios for controlling its engine, suspension and brakes. But the most important innovation is that the Gold Wing now has an automatic transmission.
The new Honda Gold Wing also received modern multimedia, which is synchronized with smartphones. Navigation, music, answering calls - all this is now available even without connecting a phone.
In a word, Golda is still the flagship and not only for Honda. This is perhaps the most advanced motorcycle at the moment. Gold Wing arrived in Ukraine just in time for the start of the motorcycle season. The price tag starts at 33,900 USD, and the Tour version presented at Motobike 2018 cost as much as 37,900 USD. But this is a new Golda, so you need to get used to this price list.
, BMW Mottorad pleased domestic bikers with an affordable BMW. The most affordable 300cc 34-horsepower BMW G310 has finally arrived in Ukraine. Moreover, the motorcycles are available in both standard and G310 GS versions. This is a light, comfortable and economical bike for every day, with a fuel consumption of 3.3 l/100 km.
He is head and shoulders above any 250 cc “Chinese” and “thoroughbred” Japanese. Although the issue of breed may be debatable here, since the G310 is produced in India, but at the BMW plant. But a BMW motorcycle has never been so affordable. The price list for the BMW G310 R starts at UAH 177,375, and the GS version will cost UAH 203 thousand. Now imagine, did anyone dream that a brand new BMW with quality service and the corresponding spirit could be bought for 5,500 euros?

At Motobike 2018 they brought the R nineT version in a combination of black engine and brass polishing. It looks very unusual, but certainly stylish and like a real “old school”. The price tag for the BMW R nineT starts from 416 thousand UAH and reaches 503 thousand UAH. Dealers already have all versions of the R nineT: scrambler, GS, Racer, Pure.
In contrast to the Honda Gold Wing, BMW Motorrad offers its own take on a long-distance touring motorcycle. At Motobike 2018 they showed a BMW K 1600 B with a 6-cylinder 160-horsepower engine and already with a body kit. The price for such a “tourist” from BMW starts from UAH 741,750.
KTM also did not leave bikers without new products. Just the day before, a KTM 790 Duke with an 800 cc 105-horsepower engine arrived in Ukraine. The new product will delight you with its stylish modern design and outstanding characteristics. The 790 Duke is just as comfortable to drive around the city as it is to cruise along country roads. And there is no doubt that he will be able to “grab it.”
In the KTM 790 Duke, engineers tried to combine a lightweight and modern chassis, first-class suspensions and the new high-torque LC8c engine, in addition to arming it with the most advanced electronic systems. The engine produces 87 Nm of thrust at 8000 rpm, and a maximum power of 105 hp develops almost in the same range. With. The advanced Ride-By-Wire system guarantees precise throttle response and economical fuel consumption.
Maximum deceleration at the front wheel on the KTM 790 DUKE is provided by two radially mounted four-piston calipers with a 300mm dual disc brake.
The 760 mm wide conical aluminum handlebar is adjustable in four positions relative to the upper crossbar and in three more tilt positions.
Depending on the conditions, the KTM 790 Duke can choose one of four modes:
- Sport: direct connection of the throttle with the throttle, the mode allows you to drive with a skid and an acceptable level of wheel slip;

As always, Benelli-Geon . Let's start with the fact that with the Benelli TRK502, the manufacturer confidently enters the Ukrainian tourer segment. The “tourist” from Benelli has a 500 cc engine producing 48 hp. at 8500 rpm, which is paired with a six-speed gearbox. The suspension here is also adjustable, and the body kit corresponds to the classics of world tourers.
With the same engine, Benelli also offers a radically different motorcycle - the Leoncino 500 scrambler. It looks stylish, all the components are from leading manufacturers, and the output of the 48-horsepower 500 cc engine is enough for scrambler tasks. Himself at 180 km/h.
Geon has a lot of new products and a rather radically updated “line” of motorcycles for 2021. Note that the Geon Dakar 250 TwinCam has appeared in the lineup, which offers the capabilities of an “adult” Dakar, but for less money. The enduro Geon TerraX, X-Road, and the classic Bullet 400 have also been updated. But Geon’s completely new model can be called the Scrambler 250. Moreover, Geon did not offer a retro model, but equipped it with modern LED optics and a modern 18 hp engine. . and wide wheels with a high profile. Geon Scrambler 250 looks very stylish. In addition, it is available in various colors, including the rather original “brushed aluminum”.
This year, “Motobike 2018” was honored by the presence of many custom workshops, where there was a lot of interesting work. Some of them were at a very high level.
The theme of domestic and Soviet motorcycles also became relevant this year. There were several restorations at the exhibition, among which AUTO-Consulting reviewed interesting projects.

Part of the Motobike 2018 exposition was dedicated to electric vehicles, where the Renault Zoe electric car was presented in official status. As AUTO-Consulting already reported, official sales of Zoe have started. Now it can be purchased at the Renault dealer network at a price of 890 thousand UAH.
Rover Quick 2000, also took place at Motobike 2018 . The new product is quite reminiscent of the Renault Twizy and has a similar layout, which makes it more likely to be classified as an ATV with a closed body. But the main thing is that Rover Quick 2000 entered the Ukrainian market with a revolutionary price of 150,000 UAH.
The Rover Quick 2000 is formally a 2-seater, but the seats are arranged one behind the other like a motorcycle. Otherwise, it’s already a car. It has a cabin with doors, a windshield wiper, lighting equipment and even a car radio. The package also includes a rear view camera. The length of the electric car is 2300 mm, and the width is only 1190 mm. Rover Quick-2000 weighs only 453 kg.
The Rover Quick 2000 has a plastic body. A 2 kW electric motor and a 45-amp battery are installed here. According to the trader, this should be enough for 70 km. At the same time, the maximum speed that the Rover Quick 2000 can reach is 45 km/h. The only caveat is that the batteries here are lead-acid, and it will take 6-8 hours to charge the battery.
The Rover brand (has nothing to do with the British Rover brand. Editor's note) intends to very actively promote electric vehicles and sell them through the Allo chain of stores and external dealers. In addition to electric vehicles, the Rover “line” also includes electric scooters, electric bikes, tricycles, and electric bicycles. And their prices are so low that dealers of Chinese gasoline scooters need to hurry up with the sale. If in the past more or less decent electric scooters were offered from 1000 USD, then in the Rover “line” we have already seen price tags of 18 thousand hryvnia.
This is what “Motobike 2018” was like. This year, the test drive area has also expanded significantly, where you can try out Harley-Davidson, Indian, Geon, KTM, Rover, as well as a whole range of custom bikes.
Triumph
Triumph updates the "ultra-tough" and "mega-cool" Bonneville model for 2021. The black bobber is as beautiful as ever. The second model, the Speedmaster, perfectly complements the model range. The exhaust system, running board, brake pedal, shift lever, handlebar, seat pan, wheel hubs and headlight surround are all finished in black, anodized or painted.
However, this is where almost all the changes end. Technically, the motorcycle did not survive reincarnation - the engineers left the bike untouched. Unless they installed a 16-19-inch wheel and a massive Showa fork instead. But that doesn't count... First of all, the 77-horsepower engine remains the same as it was.
If the Bonneville is, so to speak, a “bobber” for one, then the Triumph Speedmaster is a motorcycle for two (if necessary, a seat for a second crew member is installed on the rear fender). More classic looks and a lot more chrome.
In the Triumph line, of course, there are also so-called “adventure motorcycles”. An example is the Tiger 800 XC (off-road version) and 800 XR (on-road model). In total, about 200 positions were changed in the motorcycles! A comprehensive and thoughtful optimization of the model was carried out. Among other things, a new generation of engines and a rebuilt chassis are available.
The heart of the two motorcycle variants is an impressive 800 cc three-cylinder engine with 95 horsepower.
BMW Alpha Landspeeder
Cool motorcycles often have cool origin stories. And they don't get much better than the story of this incredible intercontinental collaboration. After Turkish designer Mehmet Doruk Erdem posted his stunning concept online, American motorcycle designer Mark Macro Atkinson took it and turned it into reality. It happened completely by accident. Atkinson is one of those guys who can build an engine from scratch using a piece of metal. The result blew up the Internet and even left a mark in the world of design.
Moto Guzzi
The 1921 Moto Guzzi V7 in a cool carbon version, in black with red local accents, will be offered to buyers in Europe. With the start of sales of a special model, the Italians want to remind everyone of the year the company was founded (marked in the name of the motorcycle version).
Three versions of motorcycles: Carbon, Milano and Rough - differ in attachments, and in particular tires. “Rougher” tires are for roads of not the best quality, road tires are for normal conditions, the carbon version of the motorcycle is made for fashionistas.
Creating a motorcycle anew, around a new engine, is a task that not all motorcycle manufacturers undertake. At least, you don’t see this often these days. The Italians took a chance and made an updated version of the off-road model.
Engineers from the Apennines built a motorcycle around their 850 cc 80 hp engine, reminiscent of the rally bikes of the 80s. The V85 model, according to the developers, should fit perfectly between the V7 and V9 versions.
Ducati
Racing fans will get maximum adrenaline in the coming year. The Ducati Panigale V4 will help them with this. The first production four-cylinder Ducati received 214 horsepower and a top speed of 300 km/h! The starting price of the Panigale model in Russia in 2018 is from 1,779,000 rubles.
The special version of the Ducati 959 Panigale Corse will cost a lot anywhere in the world. But that's not the main thing. The main thing in a motorcycle is return and inspiration! Two-tone paintwork, Öhlins suspension and Akrapovic exhaust system. This is the minimum you should know. Weight, it seems, is only 197.5 kilograms!
The Ducati Scrambler, in classic form, has not been updated for many years. This fact upset the fans. Last year, the Italians seemed to have heard the wishes of fans and donated an engine from the Monster model to the 1100S retro motorcycle. With a power of 86 hp. With. it has an additional 13 hp.
Three versions of this classic will go on sale in spring 2021. The lower price threshold of the model in Russia is 629,000 rubles.
Ducati Multistrada – for long “races”. The Italian comes out with an extra 64cc in the new year. 85 percent of the engine's 130 Nm torque is available at speeds below 3,500 rpm. Power is 158 hp. pp., there are no changes compared to its predecessor.

Ducati also completely revised the “Monster” line, arriving in time for the birthday of the model range. The 821 variant comes with new electronics, a customizable color display and multi-level traction control. Power is 109 hp. s., prices start from 779,000 rubles.
KTM
KTM sees the new 790 Duke as an uncompromising ground weapon for victory. The pendulum and rear part of the frame are made of light alloy; launch control will allow you to take off smoother and safer. The compact LC8c engine delivers 105 horsepower at 9,000 rpm. The naked model weighs only 169 kilograms. Cool!
Essentially the same model, only for off-road use, the KTM 790 Adventure. Is enduro popular again? KTM wants to believe it!
KTM motocross motorcycles should get fuel injection starting in 2021. The technology will be used in the 250 EXC TPI and 300 EXC TPI models. The carburetor is becoming a thing of the past with off-road and sport models.
Honda CB750 Brian Moses
When Brian picked up a rusty CB750 for $50, he planned to take some parts and ditch the rest. But then he finally changed his mind, and so now we see one of the most popular motorcycles of 2021. The engine was knocked down to 836 cc. cm, the front suspension is from a CBR900RR Fireblade, and most of the rear is from a CBR600F4i. And yes, what is that strange extra tube at the front of the frame? This is an oil tank that is chrome plated to match the stainless steel exhaust system.
Kawasaki
Kawasaki jumped on the retro bandwagon at the last minute, revealing a new classic model, the Z900RS, for 2021. The classic has 948 cubic cm of volume, 111 liters. With. and 98.5 Nm of torque. A motorcycle weighs 215 kilograms if you put it on the scale. A tribute to the Z1 from the 70s in its purest form.

The secret of the Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX is the compressor system from the Ninja H2 sports model, which provides the green beast with 200 hp. With. at 11,000 rpm and 137.3 Nm of maximum torque.
If your ambitions are not so high – Kawasaki Ninja 400. The same “supersport” class, but more down-to-earth. If you weigh the sportbike on a scale, you get only 168 kilograms of dry weight, which is 6 kilograms lighter than the Ninja 300. The Ninja will be a little easier to handle.
The Japanese will produce a children's version of the Kawasaki KX65, as well as a KX250F model, visually redesigned, but technically remaining the same.
Yamaha
Yamaha offers a wide range of visual enhancements to the MT 07, new air intakes, new headlights, new seat and shock absorber. The 689 cc engine with 75 horsepower is still in the holder.
The XT1200 ZE Super Tenere off-road model may have the longest nameplate in 2021, but that won't compromise the SUV's reliability. Yamaha's famous, if not legendary, 1,199 cc twin-cylinder engine hangs underneath the frame. An electronically controlled chassis, a smart braking system, traction control and cruise control are the few technical improvements that have been introduced into the new product.
Sports Tourer Tracer 900 GT is, first of all, an optimized model of a Yamaha motorcycle, both in terms of its technical characteristics and ease of riding. Starting in 2021, the Tracer 900 GT will not only receive significantly improved attachments, but also larger panniers, Quickshift and more.
The Yamaha T7 was most recently the concept that brought the Japanese into the limelight for their vision of an SUV at the 2021 Eicma motorcycle show. Lightweight, passable - what more do you need from an ideal two-wheeled SUV?
The R1 and R1M received from Yamaha engineers in the new model year a quickshifter and a blipper, which also allows you to disengage the gear without pressing the clutch.
