Description
The Suzuki GSX750F Katana sports tourer model appeared on the market in 1989 as the senior model in the GSX-F line. Like the younger version (Suzuki GSX600F Katana), the Suzuki Katana 750 was aimed at foreign markets (mainly Europe and North America) and was not sold in Japan. In general, comparing the GSX600F and GSX750F, one can note a lot of similarities between these two models - both are built on the basis of the engine from the Suzuki GSX-R750, both have an identical appearance and both have undergone the same restyling.
The first generation Suzuki GSX750F Katana (GR78A) featured a rectangular headlight, carburetors (Mikuni BST36SS) and more powerful engine settings (power up to 106 hp in full-power versions and 74 Nm of torque). This generation existed until 1997, after which restyling occurred.
The second generation Suzuki GSX750F Katana (AK11) received a new appearance, dual headlights, new carburetors (Mikuni BSR36) and a reduction in maximum engine performance (to 92 hp and 65 Nm of torque). This generation existed until 2006 inclusive, and it was this generation that gained wide popularity.
The key features of the Suzuki Katana 750 model are: a steel tubular frame, simple adjustable suspension (the fork has rebound adjustment, the rear shock absorber has all adjustments), an air-oil-cooled engine, 2-piston front disc brakes, a 6-speed gearbox, a 20-liter fuel tank. l and 211 kg of dry weight (for the second generation).
2006 was the last year of production of the model, after which it finally left the market and received no further development.

Motorcycle Suzuki Katana 750
Suzuki GSX750F 2006-2007 maroon (burgundy) red adhesives set Suzuki Katana is the name most often given to the motorcycle with the long name Suzuki GSX750F Katana. The model began production in 2006. It is positioned by the manufacturer as a road sportbike. And indeed there is a lot of sporting stuff in it, at least the streamlined shape of the cladding with powerful air intakes. However, this motorcycle is clearly not designed for super speeds; after 200 kilometers per hour, the acceleration dynamics drop sharply. Although according to the passport its highest speed is 240 km/h, it can only be ridden comfortably at speeds of up to 160 km/h. On the other hand, the bike handles quite well, forgives many mistakes in piloting and, accordingly, can be recommended as a first motorcycle for a novice driver.
The engine is four-stroke, four-cylinder, in-line, 16-valve, producing 93 horsepower. The gas distribution system is common for Japanese bikes - double overhead camshaft (DOHC). The power, of course, is not the greatest for a 750 cc bike, but this engine has a time-tested advantage, namely its reliability. After all, it was used on the legendary Suzuki series - GSX-R. Among the features specific to the engines of this company is the proprietary Suzuki Advanced Cooling System (SACS). This is a combined air-oil cooling circuit, very effective, and does its job perfectly. The engine is powered by traditional Mikuni carburetors with a throttle position sensor, which provides good traction at medium speeds and instant response of the engine to turning the throttle. For a smooth “pickup” from low to medium speeds, the motorcycle is equipped with a specially tuned exhaust system made of stainless steel.
Suspension Suzuki Katana 750: front fork with a 41 mm diameter of feathers and four positions of stiffness adjustment. The rear suspension, in the form of a monoshock absorber, also has four levels of stiffness settings. Brakes with two-piston calipers, front with a disc with a diameter of 290 millimeters, rear 240 mm. The appearance of this bike is very unique and may not appeal to everyone. However, this bike, of course, has fans, and rightly so, since the motorcycle as a whole is not bad.
