And its sound insulation is poor, so you’re unlikely to like driving in such a helmet on a busy highway.
Priced at $1,000, riders will be able to experience the racing heritage of each AGV helmet without spending money on the top-of-the-line PistaGp model, of which the Corsa R is an external replica.

At the same time, the helmet fits perfectly on the head and is not so easy to turn. Large air intakes provide excellent airflow, and the 3D Max-Dry liner can absorb up to twice its own weight in moisture. At the same time, a minimum of sand and dirt gets inside. Also worth noting is the aerodynamics of the helmet and special protrusions for better retention of glasses.
AGV Sportmodular

Alpinestars Supertech M10 Carbon
Price: 45–60 thousand rubles
Sizes: XS to 2XL (4 sizes in total)
The first thing buyers will notice about the Alpinestars M10 Supertech is the carbon fiber. The helmet weighs only 1.26 kg (!) and is equipped with two visors of different sizes to choose from. By the way, when hit, the visor is easily detached. Soft cushions at the bottom of the helmet help prevent collarbone injuries. The lining of the helmet is not simple - it has antibacterial and hydrophobic properties. The helmet also has 19 air intakes and 5 exhaust ducts.
Use one helmet for all occasions
It’s not for nothing that helmets are divided into types. Even the most versatile helmet cannot be the best in any one discipline or be equally good in summer and winter. If you ride all year round (not just in the city), then you may need another helmet.
Yes, there are universal models that perform well in the city and while traveling, but you must agree that a specialized helmet will perform better. Therefore, if you are a very active motorcyclist, you may need another motorcycle helmet - for motorcycle racing, cross-country, touring - for roads where a simple city helmet will not be enough.
“Motorcycle helmets - what are they and which one to choose?”
Arai VX Pro 4
Price: 80 thousand rubles
Sizes: XS to 2XL (5 sizes in total)
Arai is considered by many to be the best helmet on the market. Thanks to the signature R75 constant radius shape, it provides excellent head protection from impacts. To minimize the strain on the neck in the event of a fall, the helmet's visor, front and top vents are detachable. To improve rider comfort, the visor supplies air to the vents, while rear vents reduce lift at high speeds. The Face Contour System provides a snug yet comfortable fit. Of the entire list, only the Arai VX Pro 4 is Snell certified, which puts it one step ahead.

The Hedon helmets are comfortable and fit well, and the Heroine Racer Metallic Python also has an amazing patinated metal look. The Heroine Racer Metallic Python has a bit of a post-apocalyptic, Mad Max feel to its look, but still maintains the same upscale vibe as the rest of Hedon's line of helmets. With a price tag of $1,080, it's the most expensive helmet in the company's lineup.
4.Buy a helmet from a friend
A helmet is a personal protective equipment. Each motorcyclist chooses a helmet according to his anatomical features and preferences. A friend chose a helmet for themselves, so you choose a helmet that suits you.
When you try on another person’s helmet, you don’t think that the lining has changed the shape of the owner’s head during wear, and when you order a new one, you are surprised at how tightly the helmet fits.
“How not to choose equipment?”
5.Order without measurements
The shape of a person's head can be different - a long oval, a round or an intermediate oval. Therefore, helmet sizes will feel and fit differently for different head shapes. Helmet manufacturers always offer size charts so that the motorcyclist can choose his size correctly and accurately.
It's like buying shoes. You know your foot size, but you still check it every time depending on the model. Why is everyone afraid to order shoes online?
“Well, I should walk around in it, in case it rubs or doesn’t fit,” someone will say.
Why is a helmet worse? He actually protects his head! It is foolish to choose a size without checking it according to the chart. Different brands may have differences in the interpretation of size due to the design and manufacturing features of the helmet.

From what materials?
This is an important design feature that affects the strength of this part of the equipment and the cost. There are two main groups of materials: composite and thermoplastic. Carbon is added to composite specimens, which provides less weight and increased impact resistance. The covering is made separately or in layers from fiberglass, carbon fiber and Kevlar. "Germak" made of thermoplastic is less durable and resistant to deformation, its weight is 300 grams more than the composite one, and the cost is significantly lower. But don't chase the low price. If a motorcycle helmet made of thermoplastic is not solid, it may break faster. Remember that the lighter the product, the less impact there is on the upper spine during an impact in an accident. A heavy “germak” made of thermoplastic will be inconvenient on a long trip or in tourist traffic. Experienced bikers know that spending money on a helmet made of composite material is completely worth it.
