And it’s not for nothing that we mentioned the designers - from a technical point of view, Valkyrie Rune is in many ways similar to Honda’s flagship luxury tourer.

The engine for the hero of our article was the power unit from the Honda GL 1800 Gold Wing - a six-cylinder boxer liquid-cooled engine with a volume of 1.8 liters, so loved by many Golda owners. The Honda Valkyrie Rune engine is powered by a modern and technologically advanced injector, and torque is transmitted to the wheel in the most reliable way - a cardan drive. This engine is capable of producing a hundred and a quarter horsepower and torque, sufficient to accelerate a heavy cruiser not just quickly, but very quickly. However, Valkyrie Rune is loved not for its technical perfection, which, by the way, also has its place, but for its beauty. This is a unique motorcycle, one of a kind. Honda designers did their best, presenting the public with a real masterpiece. Without knowing what kind of model this is, one could easily mistake it for a custom that exists in a single copy, created to conquer various exhibitions.


Every detail of Valkyrie Rune is polished to perfection. The rear fender hugs the wheel tightly, and the LED taillights are elegantly placed on the sides. Exhaust pipes of a non-standard shape fit perfectly into the overall appearance of the motorcycle - heavy, menacing, and at the same time predatory and swift.


Of course, such exclusivity also has its downsides. There is not much tuning for the Valkyrie Rune, and there are few people willing to hack such a motorcycle, which is already a dream come true for many bikers. Every aspect of the NRX1800's silhouette is a testament to the long, long hours of work by Honda's finest designers.

However, despite its extravagant appearance, the Valkyrie Rune is quite a rideable motorcycle. It can devour kilometers one after another as well as any other heavy cruiser. True, in order to easily handle it, you must have above average height and significant physical strength. Most motorcyclists have to reach for the handlebars, and after a few hours of sitting like this, their backs begin to ache. Although if you are taller than 190 centimeters and have long arms, you are unlikely to face such a problem.


This chrome-plated monster handles according to its weight and size. On the highway, he is the king, as soon as you turn the right handle towards you, all other road users remain somewhere behind, but in the city, especially in traffic jams, driving the Valkyrie Rune is not very convenient. Although who buys such motorcycles for crawling through traffic jams?

The brake system of the motorcycle is made to perfection. Honda designers took into account the large mass of the motorcycle and equipped it with three discs working in conjunction with modern and reliable calipers. The heavy Valkyrie Rune stops much more energetically than one would expect by looking at it - looking at the motorcycle standing on the stand, sometimes it seems that the asphalt is bending under its weight.

Honda managed to create a masterpiece. They released from the assembly line, albeit in a limited edition, a motorcycle that was luxurious in every way. Valkyrie Rune is very good from the technical side, and at the same time it looks better than many custom ones that take prizes at motorcycle shows. And with all this, this is not some helpless show custom, capable of moving only in a car trailer - no, the NRX1800 can and loves to conquer kilometers of the road, carrying its owner beaming with delight into the distance.
