Harley Davidson's line of touring motorcycles returns for 2021 with updated paint options and minor changes on three Special edition models. Models in this line form the basis of successful sales of Harley Davidson - and it is no wonder that they are presented in full in 2021: Electra Glide Standard, Road Glide Limited, Road Glide Special, Road King, Road King Special, Street Glide, Street Glide Special, and also Ultra Limited.
2021 Harley Davidson Touring Models
All 2021 Harley Davidson touring models are based on Milwaukee-Eight 45-degree V-twins. The Special and Limited versions will receive a 114-inch (1868 cc) option, while the models will be equipped with a liquid cylinder head cooling system. The remaining representatives of the touring line will receive a smaller 107-inch (1746 cc) air-cooled engine.
The chassis of these models remains unchanged for 2021: a fork with double flexible valves, emulsion rear shock absorbers and combined braking systems with ABS as standard. The RDRS suite of electronic assistants, renamed RDRS Safety Enhancement, will be available as an option for all touring models. Depending on the model, its composition may vary, but in most cases it includes tilt ABS and traction control, engine braking control, hill assist and a tire pressure monitoring system.
Why trikes and what's special about them?
The first idea of three-wheeled transport appeared in the 18th century. Then something similar to a modern motorcycle was called the “big Cugno cart”, it was powered by steam and moved at a speed of 5 km per hour. The next surge in the popularity of such machines occurred in the middle of the 20th century. At this time, motorcycles with sidecars filled the streets and every self-respecting manufacturer, including the iconic Harley Davidson, considered it necessary to add them to their lineup.
Somewhat later, speed and maneuverability came into fashion, in which there was simply no place left for motorcycles with sidecars. But times have changed: now people again began to value comfort, safety and quality, which means that the idea of three-wheeled motorcycles has become more relevant than ever. They were even given a new name - trikes, and obsolete strollers were removed.
The modern three-wheeled motorcycle has taken the best from its ancestors, but at the same time is very different from them. It combines the maneuverability of a motorcycle and the comfort of a car, and the list of advantages of such a vehicle is very wide:
- high stability due to the presence of 3 wheels, ease of control and safety. The trike is almost impossible to overturn even in a collision;
- wide and comfortable seat, similar to a car, spacious place to put your feet;
- the presence of a large trunk and increased fork length;
- stylish design, right down to decorating the rear wheels with spikes;
- modern “stuffing” - a powerful engine, cruise control, infotainment system, ABS and RDRS systems, and in some models even heated seats.
A good trike has it all!
Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special 2021
Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special
The 2021 Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special will receive a Daymaker LED headlight instead of the previous version with two halogen lamps. Additionally, the new 6-gallon tank with a side fill gives the bike a lower profile. The tank features a low-profile center console and a new HD badge.
Like other Special models, the 2021 Street Glide Special will feature smaller 1.25-inch (31mm) tube bars that are 28cm lower than standard and feature a slight forward curve.
Among the already known features of the 2021 Street Glide, we note the batwing fairing with separate ventilation slits, elongated, lockable saddlebags and the Boom! multimedia information system. Box GTS with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.
The 2021 Harley Davidson Street Glide Special will be available in chrome trim with milled wheel accents, as well as a dark finish. Chrome versions will be available in Vivid Black, Black Jack Metallic, Billiard Red, and a custom Snake Venom option. Dark finish options will come in Vivid Black, Gauntlet Gray Metallic, Billiard Red, Deadwood Green Denim, and a custom Snake Venom option.
Harley-Davidson V-Rod
The V-Rod series are considered the fastest and most powerful Harley Davidson motorcycles. Even engineers from Porsche took part in the creation of this series.
There are only 2 models in this series: Night Rod and Muscle.
The Night Rod is a classic V-Rod, designed to allow the bike to achieve maximum speed while engineers worked to lower the center of gravity. A new engine was developed in which the cylinder camber angle became 60 degrees, and in classic Harley Davidson engines the camber angle is always 45 degrees.
In addition, in order to further reduce the center of gravity, the engineers placed the gas tank under the saddle, and in place of the gas tank there is a regular fairing that covers the air filter. The result is a Harley Davidson motorcycle, which has excellent stability on a straight road and in corners.
The second model, the V-Rod Muscle, differs from the Night Rod in that the Muscle has exhaust pipes on both sides, while the Night Rod has 2 mufflers on one side. Also, the external design is slightly different for these models.
You can identify a V-Rod by the radiator that is installed in the front; the Softail, Dyna and Sportster do not have a radiator, because their engines are cooled by air while driving. But the engine in the V-Rod has a liquid cooling system, like in a car. Such tricks had to be done in order to increase the power of these motorcycles; in the V-Rod it is 120 hp. With. And the greater the power, the more efficient the cooling system must be. Prices for these Harley Davidson motorcycles start at RUB 1,687,000 for the 2021 Muscle model.

Harley-Davidson Road Glide Special 2021
Harley-Davidson Road Glide Special
The 2021 shark nose Harley-Davidson Road Glide Special features the same low-profile roll bars, six-gallon tank with low center console and Harley Davidson medallion as the Street Glide Special. Other features of the model include two Daymaker LED headlights, elongated saddlebags with locks and the Boom! multimedia information system. Box GTS with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.
The 2021 Harley Davidson Road Glide Special will be available in chrome trim with milled wheel accents, as well as a dark finish. Chrome versions will be available in Vivid Black, Midnight Crimson, Billiard Teal, and a custom Snake Venom option. Dark finish options will come in Vivid Black, River Rock Gray Denim, Billiard Teal, Midnight Crimson, and a custom Snake Venom option.
F11 (1915)
The F11 motorcycle brought the motorcycle world to a whole new level. For the first time, a three-speed gearbox, an automatic oil filter and larger valves were used. As a result, the bike roared with an 11 horsepower engine! It was even made with a removable night light. Although obsolete today, the F11 played a very important role. It revolutionized motorcycle manufacturing and proved that comfort could be combined with style and performance.
Dyna Wide Glide (2010)
The Dyna Wide Glide may not be the most practical motorcycle when compared to other Harleys, but it is a pleasure to ride! Main differences from other versions: Tommy Gun 2-1-2 exhaust pipes, a larger rear end and a chopped rear fender. Also, compared to its predecessors, it has a relatively low saddle, which is partly why it is so comfortable. Requires a little effort when turning. An excellent choice for those who love sliding.
CVO Softail Convertible (2012)
Although the CVO Softail Convertible went into production in 2010, it was the 2012 variant that stood out from the rest. The bike was perfect for both long trips and trips around the city. It was easy to modify: the backrest, rear passenger seat and windshield could be removed. The motorcycle was suitable for both men and women, with a saddle height of 66 cm and a light frame. The lightness of the frame made it easier for women to handle, and the high height made the bike look cool, which was ideal for guys.
VRSCSE2 (2006)
VRSCSE2 boasts more than just performance. It combines excellent functionality with striking looks and comes in three color combinations: Charcoal Slate with Pearl Scarlet, Platinum Pear with Chrome and Yellow Pearl, and Black with Burnt Orange. In addition to excellent steering, the motorcycle has a Revolution engine, which makes it easy to maneuver in heavy traffic.
FLHT Electra Glide Standard (2009)
This stripped-down tourer lacks many of the components that motorcycles are usually associated with, such as a powerful sound system, a ton of chrome and a bright, interesting paint job. However, it has a two-cylinder engine, air suspension, a six-speed transmission, cruise control and reliable performance. One of the most stable bikes.
FLHR Road King (2012)
In terms of performance and customization, the 2012 FLHR lives up to its name and is truly the king of the road. This was achieved thanks to the installation of a Twin Cam 103 engine with a displacement of 1690 cubic centimeters and a 6-speed gearbox. The model uses anti-lock brakes and electronic cruise control. In terms of customization, the bike comes with adjustable rear suspension and a removable windshield, all of which help in achieving a smooth ride. The King of the Road has a classic body design synonymous with bikers.
FXSTB Night Train (2009)
Famous for its looks and incredible performance, the FXSTB Night Train was painted in various shades of black (a train without lights, flying through the night). Performance is determined by the Twin Cam 96B engine with a displacement of 1584 cc. It may not be perfect for racing, but it's great for daily driving.
XR-1000 (1983)
Efficient and powerful, the XR-1000 was a staggering $7,000 price tag. Not everyone could spend that much money on a motorcycle. The lucky few who could afford it enjoyed the mighty 998 cc engine, pushing the bike to 180 km/h. The XR-1000 may not have been particularly popular despite its fantastic performance for the time, but its racing version, called Lucifer's Hammer, helped Jay Springsteen win the Daytona race.
