Appearance of Honda CBR 125
The model appeared in 2004 and is still in production today. Externally, the motorcycle was similar to the Honda CBR F4i. In 2007, the model takes on the appearance of the Honda CBR 600RR, and the carburetor is replaced by an injector. In 2011, the motorcycle takes on the features of the Honda CBR 250. There are no changes in the technical part.
Tuning Honda CBR 125
Tuning for the Honda CBR 125 is available externally and internally. The exterior is traditional - airbrushing, LED lighting, non-standard mirrors and turn signals. Internal tuning mainly comes down to modifying chains, sprockets and other transmission elements. In addition, owners of the first editions of the Honda CBR 125 can change the box to a restyled one from later models. All this will slightly increase the power and speed of the motorcycle.

Engine
Honda SB 125 has a four-stroke single-cylinder engine. Its effective volume is 124.7 cm³. This unit is cooled by air. It produces a maximum torque of 11 Nm at 6000 rpm, and a maximum power of 10 hp at 8000 rpm.
The highest speed of a motorcycle in fact is approximately 100 km/h. Yes, the speedometer has divisions at both 110 km/h and 120 km/h, however, if the bike can reach them, it will be with a tailwind. But if the wind has a different direction, then a hundred may turn out to be a pipe dream.
Odnoklassniki Honda CBR 125
The main competitor of the Honda CBR 125 is the Yamaha YZF-R125.
Structurally, the motorcycles of both manufacturers are similar. Yamaha has a slightly different (according to users, more comfortable) fit. Another difference is that the Honda CBR 125 has two valves, the Yamaha has four. As a result, the YZF-R125 is slightly more powerful. Due to the different number of valves, motorcycles behave differently when moving. The Honda CBR 125 starts off briskly and accelerates well, but at 5000 rpm a certain “stupidity” sets in, which goes away as soon as the tachometer needle shows 11,000 rpm.
The dynamics of the Yamaha YZF-R125 at the start leave much to be desired, but after 6000 rpm a smooth pick-up occurs.
Chassis and brakes
The half-duplex steel frame has a nice design that can easily compete with high-end fashion motorcycles. The wheels are alloy, and the steering wheel is a comfortable instrument that perfectly matches the compact dimensions of the CB 125.
At the rear, the suspension is provided by a double shock absorber with a stroke of 70 mm. At the front there is a 31mm telescopic fork with 118mm of travel. The rear brakes are a drum, while the front is braked by a 276 mm disc along with a two-piston caliper.

Rider,
“Two years ago we chose a motorcycle for my wife. As a result of much digging on the Internet, the choice fell on the Honda CBR 125. The motorcycle turned out to be light and generally small in size. It steers and accelerates well, at least outside the city it doesn’t lag far behind “adult” motorcycles. Nothing has broken in three years of use. We’re already wondering how long this will last.”
For whom
Here are the main features of the Honda CB 125:
- ease of entry for both driver and passenger;
- stylish design that can withstand comparison with top bikes;
- balance of components.
A motorcycle will be an excellent transport for those who live in a big city. However, this machine can also serve a resident of a small town well. Well, as for country routes, this option is suitable, but it is definitely not optimal.

There is still almost nothing on BikePost about the new 125 cc Honda. So I will write my history of the acquisition and operation of this equipment. So, throughout 2011 and the first half of 2012, I had an old IZ Jupiter-5. And at some point he became irrevocably and completely tired of him, but somehow the desire for the famous Yubr did not arise. And then, thanks to the Internet, a new 125 cc motorcycle caught my eye - the Honda CB125e.
I studied the scant information on the Internet, it turned out that this animal is new and little is known about it. So I decided to trust the brand, Honda after all! At that time I had no free savings, but my income allowed me to easily get a loan under a simplified program for 125cc equipment and pay it off at an accelerated pace, which is what I did. I live in Kharkov, but at that moment there was no motorcycle in the Kharkov Honda showroom, so I had to call dealers in other cities and go buy it in Zaporozhye.
The road to Zaporozhye was unusual. It turned out that I was on my way from gootentag to Dnepropetrovsk. He gave me a ride in his Buell XB12S Lightning from Kharkov to the bus station in Dnepropetrovsk. And from there I went to Zaporozhye by bus.
In Zaporozhye we had to wait a little until the documents for the motorcycle arrived at the salon by mid-day. While waiting, I went for a walk around the city and saw a guy with a Zongshen chopper. I explained to him the situation that I was buying a new motorcycle and I needed to properly leave the city for Kharkov. He kindly agreed to help me.
And now I receive my motorcycle, documents, keys. It’s a very exciting moment when you buy a new motorcycle in a dealership and, beaming with happiness, roll it up the ramp through the front entrance. You sit down, pull out the enricher, press the starter button, hear the quiet purr of the new engine... I slowly follow my guide, follow him onto the M-18/E105 highway, say goodbye there and I go home on a new motorcycle.
Honda's consultants convinced me that the engines had been cold run-in, so you don't have to throw up 60 km/h all the way, you just need to avoid sudden acceleration and braking, and don't do outright violence to the vehicle. So I drove slowly, following the road signs, at a speed of about 70 km/h, then got onto the Novomoskovsk-Kharkov concrete road, where I gradually picked up the speed to 90 km/h.
The road was very beautiful: mid-July, warm and green, sometimes a rare rain fell, bringing a chill. And many motorcycles were driving towards us in a southerly direction. I was at home in the evening. You could say that I experienced a kind of culture shock. The new motorcycle allowed me to travel more in half a day than I had previously been able to travel on an IZH in a season.
Then, within a week, registration followed and the oil was changed from factory to Motul 5100 10w-40. Once he fell in the sand and once in the mud, because it turned out that this was a road motorcycle, he loves asphalt. It should be noted that the design was well thought out: nothing was broken, the turn signals, footrests and mirrors folded - a very beginner-friendly technique.
Soon there was only one breakdown - the speedometer cable burst and the volute cracked along with the cable connection. I contacted Kharkov Honda officials, and under warranty they delivered and replaced these parts for me free of charge. Later I learned that the reason could have been incorrect installation of the snail by the officials during pre-sale preparation. Maybe this is true, at least they successfully eliminated this malfunction. The new motorcycle began to serve me for daily driving to work, for visiting friends, for rides to various events outside the city. The motorcycle must be driven, preferably every day.
The new motorcycle did not go unnoticed at the lookout, among friends, acquaintances and random passers-by. Many people liked the Honda for the following reasons: fresh design, slightly sporty style, quiet purring engine, white color.

Advantages and disadvantages
As you would expect from a model with a 2T engine, it has many features in the fuel system. But the cross-country class and timely maintenance level them out.
- the reliable engine gave some of the more modern 4-stroke engines a run for their money;
- oil consumption is a common feature of 2t, since oil must be added at each refueling;
- sports suspension from Kayaba;
Adjustable upside-down fork.
Fully adjustable monoshock.
- simple maintenance;
- lack of a PTS and interest from the police if the pilot dares to go to additional traffic stops;
- the cost is comparable to the price of its older sister - in many ways this is what influenced the fact that the CR250 was bought more often;
Users noted that the bike handles perfectly, regardless of the quality of the surface on which you have to move - be it asphalt or off-road.
CBX 125 F
Honda motorcycles are successfully sold all over the world. Every year there are more and more fans of this technique. Over the course of several years, the concern has transformed from a manufacturer of cheap mopeds into the main supplier of motorcycle equipment on the international market.
The success of this brand is associated with the maximum concern of the manufacturers for the safety of the pilot while driving. Much attention is paid to the technical equipment of the bikes and their design.
In 1983, the updated Honda CBX 125 was presented to the general public. The model turned out to be compact, without unnecessary parts and body kit, it can be classified as a cruiser. This new product has the usual four-stroke engine for this line of motorcycles, equipped with one cylinder with four valves.
