Arctic Cat ZR 9000 Thundercat 2022
The Arctic Cat ZR 9000 Thundercat is a powerful snowmobile that the manufacturer calls the fastest snowmobile available from the factory. For the 2022 model year, this turbocharged Thundercat gets adaptive Electric Power Steering (EPS), which provides a high level of intervention at low speeds for easier steering and a reduced level at high speeds for superior ground feedback and steering precision. The Thundercat is powered by the largest and most powerful engine in Arctic Cat's lineup, the 9000 Series. The three-cylinder, 998cc C-TEC4 turbocharged engine produces approximately 200 horsepower at 8,750 rpm.
In addition, the 2022 Arctic Cat lineup will include a Thundercat model with ESD and ATAC active suspension system. This system allows you to adjust the FOX ZERO iQS track shock and front ski shocks on the fly using a button on the left console. At the touch of a button, the driver can switch the suspension compression mode between three factory settings, soft, medium and hard. Switching takes about 0.5 seconds, and in addition, the system has two slots for adjusting the balance of the front and rear suspension to suit the wishes of two drivers. In addition, ATAC adjusts the suspension settings optimally when the vehicle is engaged in reverse, providing the best possible handling when driving in reverse.
All three Arctic Cat Thundercat models (base and two with ESD) will be available in Dynamic Charcoal finishes.

It is also worth paying special attention to the new Twin Spar™ chassis, built on the basis of two aluminum box side members. They connect the steering mounts and tunnel rails together. The peculiarity of this design is that it uses high-strength rivets, which connect all the chassis elements into one. In addition, the chassis has an unrivaled level of rigidity and, of course, durability.
At the front of the snowmobile there is a reinforced bumper, thanks to which the snowmobile is protected from various damages. The same bumper is installed in the rear, thanks to which the snowmobile can be rescued from a snow ambush.
Initially, this model is designed for two people, but if necessary, you can remove the passenger seat in just a couple of steps, thereby freeing up additional space for any small cargo. But in addition to this, the snowmobile can carry three people, which is achieved by installing an additional passenger seat. All these possibilities were due to the fact that the seats use a rail mounting system.
Like most other models, this one has a small luggage compartment under the driver's seat, which is often used to transport spare parts and necessary tools for troubleshooting various problems with the machine. This compartment is completely protected from environmental influences.
On the instrument panel there is a digital-analogue display that transmits to the driver all the necessary information about the operation of the equipment: travel speed, fuel level, engine temperature, ambient temperature, crankshaft speed of the power unit, daily mileage of the vehicle, number of engine hours worked, reverse gear and hazard lights .

Manufacturers
Arctic Cat was founded in early 1961. Its founder was Edgar Hitten. From the very beginning, the company specialized in the production of snowmobiles and was called Polar Manufacturing. A year later it received the name Arctic Enterprises, and only in 1996 the name that is now known throughout the world.
The first snowmobile was based on a gas-powered sled model from Peter Peterson. It was also used by Polaris Industries, in which Hitten previously had a stake.
Currently, the company, in addition to its main plant in Thief River Falls, Minnesota, has production centers in South Dakota and Australia. In addition, there are about 40 official distributors dispersed around the world and more than a thousand official dealers in North America.
Arctic Cat Blast 2022
Arctic Cat's Blast line of mid-size snowmobiles (Blast M 4000, Blast ZR 4000 and Blast LT 4000) is expanding into its second year with two new models: the Blast XR 4000 and Blast XR Touring 4000.

Arctic Cat Mountain 2022
The Arctic Cat Mountain line of mountain snowmobiles is based on the innovative Alpha One single-beam suspension. Scheduled for release in 2022 is the 146-inch Hardcore Alpha One track, designed for a “more spirited ride.” In addition, the 154-inch Mountain Cat Alpha One will be available with ATAC active suspension.
Mountain Cat's Alpha One and Hardcore Alpha One snowmobiles are powered by the 794cc, 165-horsepower Next-Gen C-TEC 8000 engine. For the first time, 2022 Mountain 8000 models will feature Arctic Cat's ADAPT CVT transmission with a lighter, narrower design and improved damper that maintains constant tension of the belt, and thereby reducing its wear, as well as having reduced inertia, which provides a sharper response to the gas.
Mountain Cat M 8000 models are equipped with a 154- or 165-inch Power Claw track with a single row of windows. The Mountain Cat has a track with 3-inch deep snow lugs, while the Hardcore can be equipped with 3-inch or 2.6-inch lugs. Also available in the 2022 lineup is a third track option for the Hardcore, a 146-inch with 2.6-inch lugs. All Power Claw track options feature a soft, compliant design that provides traction whether you're on a slope, on a flat surface or climbing a mountain. With maximum flexibility, this model allows for better maneuverability and tighter turning circles than conventional snowmobiles. The suspension, light and rigid, allows the track to hug the contours of the surface, providing maximum traction.
Engine
The Arctic Cat 570 snowmobile has a two-stroke two-cylinder power unit, which, upon reaching 7300 crankshaft revolutions per minute, develops a rated output power of 45.53 kilowatts, which translates to 61.9 horsepower. Each cylinder has a diameter of 73.8 millimeters, and their total working volume is 565 cubic meters. The piston stroke is 66 millimeters. This unit, as standard for all snowmobiles, uses an air cooling system. One VM34 carburetor is installed per cylinder. CDI condenser cooling system.
ProClimb chassis
The Arctic Cat XF High Country is built on a ProClimb chassis that has undergone a number of changes over the last few years to make it lighter and more responsive. This rigid chassis doesn't flex under rider input like the Ski-Doo T3.
Arctic Cat chassis are neutrally balanced and do not have a forward-facing riding position. We've been doing regular snowmobile tests for a long time now, weighing them by lifting the handlebars, and every time we find that Arctic Cat machines are almost perfectly flat. A balanced chassis means it will behave predictably even if the driver changes position.
New skis
Arctic Cat presented their new ProClimb 7 skis in 2021. The new skis are 178 mm wide and taper to 165 mm in the center. This shape promotes better gliding and maneuverability.
Also in 2021, skis are adjustable in a wide range, you can choose the most comfortable position for yourself from 978 mm to 1079 mm. If you often have to maneuver between trees, then 978 mm is the best option for you. And if you prefer to ride on roads and rough terrain, then set the skis at a distance of 1079 mm from each other, this position will best suit your style.
Add-ons
Arctic Cat realized that XF High Country drivers would benefit from a telescoping steering column as they constantly change their riding conditions. That's why they used a clamp ring to raise or lower the handlebars by 102mm. Another addition is a 12V socket that will help you charge your phone or GPS on the go. Today, almost all four-stroke snowmobiles are equipped with an outlet, while most two-stroke models do not.
Arctic Cat also switched to 140mm high racing windshields. When riding a snowmobile on a snowy day, a tall windshield keeps the snow away from your face, while a low racing windshield keeps the snow away from your body when you're standing up. Racing windshields are great in rough terrain, but on the track on cold mornings they don't provide enough protection. The savvy owner of the XF High Country will definitely buy himself an additional windshield, which he will use on frosty days on the highways, and leave the low one for conquering harsh terrain.
